We live in Parker but we drive to Castle Rock if we are in the mood for a great breakfast. I get the Gyro Breakfast and my husband likes the Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs. The potatoes are amazing and don't leave without having a supremely good Bloody Mary! We usually bring our kids here and have had a few big family dinners here as well. There is a lot of variety in the menu and everything is always very tasty. The staff is friendly and we look forward to our next meal there!! read more

It's not horrible, but definitely not great. I had a mexican combo plate with an enchilada, beef burrito and chilie relleno. The chilie relleno was really good but the second you cut into it you could see the oil from frying it pour out on the plate. The beef was just gross, it tasted like it had been marinating in overwhelming seasoning for the past week. And the enchilada was fine but their red sauce wasn't good. The canned stuff you get at the grocery store is better. I also had a lemonade that was pretty bad, there was so much mix in my glass that I was practically chewing it. I'm not usually a picky eater and I like most things, maybe I just had a bad experience this time. I've been there once before years ago and I don't remember it being this bad. Other people I was with said the french dip was delicious and so was the fish and chips. Maybe next time I'll steer clear of the mexican. read more

Fantastic food every time i've been. Breakfast is de-lish. Reuben's are top notch. Have always had a great experience with wait staff and bartenders. Some of the best made bloody marys and long islands in town. Great place to eat with the family any day of the week. Would recommend if looking for a place to go that isn't fancy shmancy but still has good quality food. read more

A friend and I had dinner a few weeks ago while our wives had a "girls night out". Both had the rib eye steak and we agreed that it was the lousy steaks we've ever had. The steaks we relatively thin and that last difficult to keep from over cooking (and they were!). More importantly, the quality of the meat was the real complaint. Both of us had a huge pile of fat and gristle, about half of the entire steak. Furthermore, the half we tried eat was tough. Pegasus is still our favorite breakfast place, but dinner, not so much. read more

Ate there for lunch for the first time yesterday with the wife and the in-laws. The food was good and the service was great. The building was spacious and cozy if you can imagine that. Large and roomy but a family feeling with a warm fire burning. Anxious to go back and try some other items off the menu. My new favorite place. read more

We use to go here for Sunday breakfast almost every week ... but no more. Over the last year the food has gone from "very good" to mediocre and the prices have gone up. Bacon is now overly fatty. I use to get the crispy hash browns I wanted ... but the last three time the potatoes have been slimy. Too bad ... because we use to enjoy the courtyard and watch the birds and rabbits. This is our favorite breakfast place. We drive from Denver/Centennial on weekends because it is the best! Green chili is always fresh and spicy hot - the best ever. They know how to do eggs and their hash brown potatoes are great. We haven't found anything in our area that compares. Have also had lunch there a few times and the quality is always there. Normally a good place for breakfast but not today. We ordered four egg benedicts and all of the eggs were overdone and the sauce tasted like straight lemon juice. Apparently the cooks had made too many orders earlier in the day and decided to put an end to anyone ordering more (or coming back). It worked! read more

This place is just kind of weird. Had a pasta with artichokes. The sauce was so sour and overpowering I didn't finish it. Too much lemon and artichoke and not enough pasta. The menu has a few things that are good...stick with simple dishes. But the variety...Greek, Mexican, and whatever else...just odd. read more

I actually left the lights on in my truck while inside and my truck battery died. One of the waitresses and another worker helped push my truck out, and then jump it...in the middle of the snow storm! Awesome customer service. Thank you staff! read more

We have been coming here to Sunday brunch every week for a LONG time, and loved it. Not anymore. I ordered my "usual" 2 egg breakfast with eggs poached, fruit instead of hash browns, and sourdough toast. Then I said "Oh, and can I add one piece of bacon?" The waiter said sure. When my plate arrived, it had 3 or 4 pieces of bacon, and I said "Oh, I only ordered one piece". The waiter said that they didn't have that option. So, I said to just remove the bacon then and he said he'd take it off the bill. A minute later another server (probably a senior server, not the manager because I've met him, and the waiter had waited on us before) came over and asked if we'd had a problem with the bacon. I explained again, and his reply was "but you ate it, right?". My answer was no, I hadn't eaten any of it. After that, I couldn't stop thinking how rude that comment was. Although the food has kept us returning to Pegasus for many years, recent events have caused us to decide NEVER to return. On Mother's Day, we had out of town guests, but were told we could not have a reservation because our party was too small. We were assured that if we showed up at a specific time, we could get a table. Upon arrival, we were greeted with chaos.After 20 minutes of waiting to get our name on the list, a pushy customer announced that he knew the owner, so would get to the front of the line.In front of all of the waiting parties - the owner allowed it! To add insult to injury, when questioned, I was told "Well, he does know the owner" and that they were "Just too busy". Seriously? Too busy to take my money? I left, and went across the street to Angie's where I was seated immediately and had a great brunch. I subsequently wrote a letter to the owner about my bad experience.Initially, I had hope of better future experiences, because he called and apologized. When we talked, he offered a free brunch to my husband and I - and agreed to allow me to schedule our book club for a specific upcoming date on their patio. He promised stellar service and immediate seating. I agreed to call once I had a firm number who would attend. When I called with that number, I was told by his wife that they could not accommodate our party - that it was not on the calendar and...wait for it...they are "just too busy". Since I had made the arrangements with her husband, I asked to speak with him - and was promised a call back by 2PM that day. At 9 PM that day, I got a call from the wife of the owner - supposedly to offer another date for our luncheon. Since invitations had already been sent, that was unacceptable - so she offered a 1/2 hour time frame on another day for our meeting. I was told again that they are "just too busy", and that her husband should have never scheduled a reservation for our party on the date we discussed. Their failure to plan in both situations was made to be my problem, rather than theirs...even though the failure to provide service was theirs. The reply that they are just too busy is a horrible statement to a customer waiting to give you money, folks - and indicates that you'd rather I go elsewhere. I guess we can solve that problem by passing the word that they are just too busy over there - and frequent other establishments in the area. I guess they have enough customers that know the owner personally they can stand to lose quite a few, since they are "just too busy". Customer service is a very important part of the dining experience. I make better green chile myself - it's just better when served by someone else. I will never frequent their establishment again. read more

We live in Castle Rock and like to support the local places. We tried this place about 3 weeks ago for lunch and it was, well, bad. Her Greek Salad didn't taste or look like a Greek Salad. My cheese steak was cold, meat well done and it had "no life" to it. So, we went back for breakfast yesterday and again everything on our plates was cold. Home fires were probably from two days ago. We really tried but do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. read more

Worst experience ever since moving to Castle Rock! Please let me explain. I made reservations for five (5) to have dinner and celebrate my wife's birthday. I specifically requested we be seated by the fireplace. Upon arrival, the hostess seated us in a room no where near the fireplace. When I said something about having reservations for a table in the room by the fireplace, she very rudely stated someone else had seated patrons in the area we had reserved, and there was nothing she could do. She then walked away. After sitting there several minutes, I decided to have dinner elsewhere, and we got up to leave the restaurant. As I walked out the door, I saw my daughter talking to a female near the table where we had been seated. I assumed she was explaining why we were leaving. I personally didn't feel any obligation to explain, and exited the restaurant. Several minutes passed and my daughter came out of the restaurant crying and visibly upset. When asked what was wrong, she stated a man identifying himself as the Owner came up to her and started yelling at her about leaving. The restaurant's web site indicates the Owner has been in the restaurant business many years and takes great pride in customer service. If this man, who made my daughter cry, is in fact the owner of the restaurant, he would be well served to take lessons in customer service. If you are looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion, you may want to think twice before choosing this restaurant. read more

No stars, we were sat, and we waited...our son completely colored both sides of his menu, no water, no one checking on us...multiple tables sat after us waited on immediately...told by waitress that our waitress was behind but still not water... host and hostess clearly noted that we had been there for 25 minutes with no water and still had our menus but did nothing...waitress finally came and we asked to see the manager, a kid came claiming to be in charged, apologized but offered us nothing in reconciliation...we left, no one cared...went home wrote a note of our experience to the owner, never heard anything from him...clearly we were not important enough to keep a clients...beware. read more

Just called to see if I could make a reservation at this restaurant. I am from out of state and saw it online. I was told to call back several times. Each staff employee I spoke to was extremely rude. One asked "what country are you from?" referring that I am so ignorant to suggest a reservation for a large party to attend to on Sunday! This is probably the worst restaurant with horrible service in Castle Rock. Much better option in other places. The meats tasted different with very poor quality ingredients. Everything on the menu looks delicious until it gets to the table. Needless to say we did not eat the food paid and left. If any one wants Mexican food go to Tres Margaritas. We love this restaurant but the food is going down hill. Typically I give a place a couple of times to correct themselves but last night deserves a note. Service was good, but when we asked for a manager we got another wait person. We'd seen the manager or owner around and were disappointed he never stopped by. First, the clam chowder came curdled! OMG, I can't believe someone would send that out of the kitchen. Next, we had the strip steak with crab and Bearnaise sauce. There must of been over a cup of it on top of the steak, which was cooked medium well, not medium rare as requested. The sauce had separated and looked disgusting. We scraped the sauce off and asked for some new. When it came, it was the same broken sauce we got on our plates. Both items were taken off our bill, but unfortunately we left a little on the hungry side. Last year you'd find this restaurant packed on a Friday night, but not this week. 7PM found the dining rooms sparsely populated. read more

Have gone to Pegasus several time. Went today and was extremely dissapointed! Now mind you I usually don't finish my meals. However today the portions were cut soooo much. I ordered an omlete and paid extra for one extra ingredient. I could count the pieces of ham on both hands. My husband who loves to eat actually left hungry. His portions looked like he ordered off of the kids menu. I was going to order the steak and eggs. My menu said $11.25 for an 8 oz steak. My husbands menu said $13.95 for a six ounce. They not only raised the prices they lowered the steak size. I agree with some of you that the service is off and on. I told the waiter about my dissapointment thinking he would send the manager over, but no. The potatoes were barely done. I don't know but I always thought hash browns were suppose to be crispy. But then again that just me. For the first time I thought my experience was no different than going to Village Inn. I hope the manager sees this. read more

I recently visited this restaurant and ordered the Gyro sandwich. The food was pretty good, and the service was great. They would have received a much higher rating except for this. One of their employees wandered out of the back. He was a kid with dreadlocks, and just didn't look clean. He walked past the bar, vigorously scratched his scalp, and put his hand into the bowl of bar snacks. He got his handful of pretzels and went about his business. I would have been grossed out if anyone had done this, but this kid has avoided shampoo for a long time. I threw up in my mouth a little, and thought "the place is still nice, it would be ok for drinks," but then I thought, "what if he's the dishwasher? Maybe he's spreading his mange to the clean glasses." I wanted to email the owners, but there's no email info on their webpage. This is one of those places that could have been a hit, but I'll avoid in the future. read more

Read the mixed reviews and thought I'd try it anyway. I had a mushroom and swiss burger, the meat part, while pretty obviously not a hand made patty... pretty sure it was frozen at some point, was just OK, no seasoning whatsoever, and the bun was a very stale, cold bun. I ended up eating just the meat part. My husband had the gyro wrap, which again, was just OK. Their tzatziki "sauce" wasn't the traditional texture, it was much more stiff, but tasted just OK..The gyro meat was barely warm, with none of the darker marks that it gets when it's on a rotisserie. Their french fries, though were very good. I had to get up and go find the waitress both to get water refills, and to bring the check, and the restaurant wasn't at all crowded. Everybody seems to think it's better for breakfast, so maybe I'll try it for that. It's a shame that the food and service is so terribly mediocre, because it's got a nice ambiance to it, lovely building.... The food and service, not so much. read more

Just awful. I live in Castle Rock. I've been to Pegasus several times, and it has been getting progressively worse. Tonight was the end. The salmon was literally inedible. I've never had fish so bad. Hard, tough, I couldn't cut it with a fork and it tasted really bad, like rotten bad. I think it was very old to begin with and then overcooked to ridiculousness. Even worse was a bread stick served with the meal that had been microwaved for so long it was hard as a rock. I tried to bite it and my husband thought I was exagerating. I handed it to him and he couldn't even tear it with both hands. Our poor waitress, she tried to make it right, but the management would do nothing. That's not true, they offered a free piece of cheesecake, you know the kind you buy at the store in a Jello box and add water. That kind of cheesecake. I tolerate a lot and I don't normally complain, but tonight's $18 meal was truly unforgiveable for ANY restaurant. We will never go back. read more

Terrible experience. We should have known it was going to be terrible dining experience when we walked in to Pegasus with a groups of friends and it took the waitress 20 minutes to come to our table to greet us. It was all downhill from there. We were in no hurry as we were there to visit and have dinner together but when it took 2 hours from the time we were seated to get our salads we were all frustrated. The place was half empty and there were people running around all over the place. When we got our salads one waitress started to bring our meals in the middle of the salads. There was no waiting for us to finish the salad. Then instead of using some of the help running around 1 waitress made 7 trips to our table with 7 meals ( what she couldn't carry 2 meals at a time ). The 8th person at our table never got her meal till the rest of us were done eating. We are at the 3 hour mark now. we asked for the manager a couple of times and she did show up but never said she was the manager. Our meals - 2 of had rib eye both terrible with the worst sauce and fake crab you have ever tasted. They both must have been out of a can. Three of us had the nightly special prime rib which didn't even resemble prime rib and tasted terrible. Bakes potatoes were cold and they couldn't bring us the fixings we ordered correctly. The manager finally shows up and gives us the story that the chef had to leave, she called the owner and he never return her call so they put some runner behind the stove to fix dinners. Terrible service - terrible food lots of excuses and remember the place was half empty. Would never go back. read more
