True, these days, many restaurants have a lot of take-out orders, but that didn't seem to be the case as they prepared only 2 or 3 bags for takeout were prepared while I was there. The food was great and came out nice and hot. There was a good amount of seating inside, which made it comfortable. The service was also good -- our server was very nice and greeted us as soon as we walked in. I would definitely recommend the spicy Korean BBQ steak; that was my favorite! I have not been to pei wei for a few years, basically because the quality of food and portion size decreased and the prices got higher. My wife and I were in the area and needed a quick meal. My mistake.We ordered the bourbon chicken and chicken and broccoli and both were bland and average at best. $7.00 for 6 fried won tons is ridiculous. The guy who took our order was named Michael and had terrible customer service skills. The worst part of this experience was that Michael then went behind counter and was seen handling food WITHOUT GLOVES AND PRECEDED TO SCRATCH HIS BEARD IN FULL VIEW. Completely a turnoff and unsanitary. The lone bright spot was the girl with glasses, didn't get her name, that was handling the orders and just about everything else. If I can give zero stars it would be more truthful. Horrible location! Miserable and rude staff. I've made complaints in the past to the district manager about this location and nothing has been done to fix the on going issues. Either the food is made bad or there's a 45 min wait to pick up a on line order. Tonight 2/13/25 the register staff and the cook were loudly complaining about customers asking for the food and wait time. I haven't been to Pei Wei in a while but decided to get some tonight since it used to be one of my favorite places to eat. Tonight my chicken fried rice has NO flavor. It looks like they just mixed plain white rice with some veggies and boiled chicken. It tastes like nothing. And the sauce packets that came with my rangoons are so cheap they have hardly and sauce in them and hardly any flavor to it. I am so incredibly disappointed with my dinner. read more

I get it partly because I'm tired and lazy and wanted an easy Friday night dinner.The items I ordered were clearly overcooked, to the point where they were burnt. They are on the speedy side for fast casual, for a family of 3 with no drinks and 2 apps we paid almost 50$,, which is dine in prices... They did a good job keeling the restaurant clean. I tried the new honey habenero chicken, and that was really good. What is unfortunate was it only had like 6 pieces of chicken on it, and for like 12-13$ that just isn't enough. My son's kids meal had more food than my wife's and my meal.. which doesn't make sense. For a full service place, I can get what seems to be a pound of chicken for 9.99. Here, it's like 3 ounces. I took another chance at a restaurant that did not have the best reviews. I made my order thur their app and got my order delivered. It was quick and easy to order. They delivered on TIME! The food was fantastic. The cooked white rice was perfect. We got teriyaki chicken, vast pieces of chicken, and a good amount of broccoli, and the sauce was just enough. We got sesame chicken. It's been awhile since we've had Pei Wei so we decided to grab some quick dinner after a long day. I ordered the teriyaki tofu and my husband had the Thai basil cashew chicken. We also ordered the wontons and spring rolls. My husband enjoyed his entree and said it was a good combination. The wontons had a super fishy taste usually the ones we like only have a small taste of the crab. The girl that worked there was super sweet and exchanged them out for another order of spring rolls. The only reason i went to Pei Wei was because i had a coupon. I haven't been there in a while because the food just went from a 10 to a 1 so i figured i'd give it another chance. The only reason why i gave it a 2 star was because of the server who was so nice and accommodating. I placed my order at 430, thinking that i placed it for 4:00. I got there at 3:55 and asked the server if they could go ahead and prepare it while i wait. No problem. Within 7 min, it was done. When i got home, the meat for the lettuce wrap tasted like it had been sitting on the counter. You would think it would be piping hot since i waited for it. The fried rice was not hot either and it was soggy, bland and no flavor. I Tried to add soy sauce to it, nothing. Ended up throwing it away. I tried my grandson's honey seared chicken and that also tasted like it had been sitting on the counter. It wasn't hot at all. No wonder i got my food within 7 min. Never going back again. We used to be regulars here since they first opened until the past couple years. The last 3 times we had came our food just wasn't what it used to be. I had a brand new bag of chicken breast from a local store and you know when they over feed the chickens and the breast is super tough and you can barely cut through it to cook? Well it was one of those nights. I had enough just to fill my husbands stomach so I thought we would give this place a try again. We hadn't been here in over a year. Our toddlers were in need of something yummy. Ordering over the phone was a breeze. We picked out two kid's gluten free sweet and sour chicken bowls for them which came with drinks. Picking up was kind of odd as they had 2 registers but all orders were being taken at the take out register whether dinning in or taking out. Things still went smooth. Service was fast and friendly. Most of the table and chairs have hard non-cushioned surfaces, although there were a couple small booths with cushioned seating. My husband and I ordered Thai curry chicken, orange chicken, and chicken lettuce wraps. I especially liked the lettuce wraps, although all three dishes were good. I would leave zero star if I could.. I placed a to go order and while waiting one lady got chicken instead of shrimp. She said it's not what I ordered and this is how that went: cashier "Well there's a lot of orders and we're short staffed it'll be about 20 minutes for us to fix it." Guest: "just write me a ticket for a free meal and I'll come try again in a few days." Cashier: "Ok, give me that food and I'll write you a coupon for free meal. I can go tell my manager but that will just make everyone wait longer for their food and she's just going to tell you the same thing." Guest: "it's not free if you are taking the food I just paid for away. I'll just eat this." *STORMS OUT* FIRST RED FLAG. Secondly a couple came up to the counter and said "I want to cancel my order because the cook is using the same wok for multiple orders." *CROSS CONTAMINATION* SECOND RED FLAG. Brushed it off, didn't want to wait 48-72 hours for the funds to go back on debit card and have to go somewhere else.. I had to go get my kids from school shortly after. So after 25 minutes I got the food and went to my grandma's to eat lunch with her. Well it was SHIT! Burned, greasy and tasted of vinegar. The girl didn't tell me the noodles were just a bed of spaghetti noodles .. no sauce, no flavor, nothing! Wontons we're way over cooked and they sat there so long while waiting for the other food to be prepared that they were cold and full of grease. The orange chicken tasted like vinegar and over cooked. The teriyaki chicken was the only thing we could eat so we ended up sharing that.
