Worse Chinese Buffet I've ever been to!!! We went here on Saturday night, around 7pm. Their website stated that they close at 10pm. Surprisingly, most of the trays on the buffet are half empty. When it was time to go back, the trays have never been refilled. We waited a while before they even put fresh food and when they did, it was half a tray full. We have been waiting for so long for some egg drop soup and when they finally refilled it, it has no taste!!! Took so long to refill our drinks and take dirty plates. It turned out there were only 2 waitress working on the floor for the whole restaurant! What should've been a good night cap to a great day at the beach turned into a crappy forgetful dinner. If you go to virtually any buffet and expect gourmet meals you will be disappointed. Remember the food is displayed in trays that are warm but not hot. Chinese food on a buffet is usually good under those circumstances and the Peking is even better than most. The variety is large, the food is well prepared and kept plentiful on display. Some may have issues because the food is closer to Chinese than American versions. I personally had a wonderful experience if you consider outrageously violent diarrhea fun, which is what I received after only taking a bite of one of their so called "meals" and to make matters worse their food also gave me a full on seizure in the restaurant. They serve lunch box delivery to nearby Texas universities when there are enough orders. The orders can be placed online or through text messages. The food is tasty and fresh. The lunch box includes two meat dishes and two vegetable dishes and plenty of rice at a price of $10-12. You don't need to bother what to order. They serve only one type of lunch box each day but they change the menu daily. It is fairly cheap comparing to the serving size and the quality of the food. It's decent Chinese food that they serve. Came here with my wife around 8 months ago and I didn't like it before. Saw they changed the name and have new management. I'm eating while I'm writing this, listen when I tell you COME BACK! The decor is amazing, new chefs the hibachi grill is going right as you enter the restaurant, everything is fresh. I watched the chef come out take the old food away and replace it with new food twice while I was here. The staff is very attentive and very quick to get you seated, ribs are great, fried rice is amazing, General Tso chicken, Kung Pao chicken, all amazing. For some crazy reason I tried the crawfish and it was chewy and tasted like if you juiced a dead shrimp. Don't even get me started on the god awful deserts, the little cakes literally just tasted like a cube of flour with no flavor and dry as hell. The sushi was terrible one was just a carrot that they maybe though might look like fish the one with shrimp tasted like sand. Some people next to us were complaining to a waiter and proceeded to grab a piece of the fish that was out to eat and got it against the table as it made a banging sound like a hammer because it was so frozen. One of the cookies that I expected to be crunchy was actually very chewy and the filling tasted like toothpaste. Did I mention it was twenty dollars for one person which was not remotely worth it evacuee I repeatedly threw up in my mouth. Atmosphere is nice and place is clean. They could definitely work on customer service when kindly asked for items that should be available at table. (Soy sauce and siracha). I was rudely told by a staff member "we don't have any!" And proceeded to angrily speak in her language. Another staff member of whom sat us down and was working the register, seen and heard her and asked her in thier language to bring one.
