Instead, when my food finally came back, the shrimp was cold. At that point, I didn't complain again--I just ate a few bites. Afterward, we waited another 20-30 minutes for our check. When the waiter brought the card reader so I could pay, my daughter accidentally dropped one of her AirPods. While I was trying to help her pick it up and tap my card to pay, the waiter said, "Ma'am, please be careful with the machine. If anything happens to it, I have to replace it." I found that comment unnecessary and unprofessional, especially since I was simply helping my daughter while paying. Overall, the experience did not live up to the recommendations I received. Between the incorrect order, the long waits, the cold replacement meal, and the interaction at checkout, I left disappointed. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. The BEST place to eat on the entire island! The food, especially the meats, are incredibly delicious! I personally eat here constantly because of the great price and abundantly appetizing variety of cuisine they provide! Extremely friendly service, and a relaxing atmosphere to eat lunch or dinner. They also have a sushi bar! I would highly recommend this establishment, particularly if you love Chinese food, and a grand amount of it! Peking also offers a variety of different teas to choose from at an additional charge (Saturday & Sunday Only), which are all palatable as well. I really enjoyed this restaurant. I was invited by friend and the drive there, for me, was quite far. But it was worth the distance. Seating was as vast and very comfortable. The food selections left really nothing for the imagination. The presentations were very pleasing and the staff from hostess to servers very attentive. The restaurant is located in Galveston beach. Everytime we go to Galveston to relax or go fishing, we always go to this buffet. Under New Management And the new chef is very consistent. So many good food to choose from. I love love love the hibachi. Add 2 eggs and lots of garlic and chili sauce not to mention the sushi all you want. Then assorted desserts and fruits. This buffet deserve 5 star. I had a good time here for dinner with my boyfriend. The food remains fresh even it was like around 9pm. We did took some other places, but they didn't provide such fresh food as here.
