I had a plumber come out to find out what was causing a slow flush. That plumber could not find…read morethe cause of the clog even after taking the toilet bowl off completely and putting the toilet auger through dry. That plumber also suggested that I purchase a new toilet for which I was quoted about $600 w installation! Well $300 later and the clog still there after the toilet was reattached I called Dan on a recommendation from The Faucet Shoppe on Elston. Dan came out the next day and within 10 to 15 minutes he had pulled the plastic toilet bowl detergent holder which had been flushed down the toilet and restored the flush to perfection. Frank responded to me within an hour and said he would be out today. He and his son came out. They communicated the whole time and asked before they did anything. Turns out our contractor installed a GFI that didn't work and our sump pump was plugged into the bad GFI. While Frank was here, he also fixed our sink. Highly recommend. Reasonably priced. Did a good job and also didn't shame me for not checking the GFI.

And when he put the snake in the sewer it was evident that the plumber who supposedly roded my main line (approximately 1 month ago) deceived me by stating that he had rodded my main line from the catch basin to the street. Chuck pulled wipes and roots, not to mention other junk- Chuck conducted Hydro Jetting and I was very satisfied with his work (Thanking God). The jetting even assisted with clearing of the backed up junk in my catch basin, which had been cleaned a month ago and now had filled up with junk due to the poor rodding from the prior plumber (a month ago). He was recommended to me and I first called him to fix my kitchen sink and replace the leaking faucet. I called on a Sunday, he came out Monday on time and was done in under an hour for a reasonable rate. The next night, Chicago had some torrential rains that caused us to get sewer water and actual solid sewage in the basement. I called him and he came out the next day. He actually said he could come that night but I wasn't going to be home till late. He rodded the main line and catch basin and everything was flowing just fine when he left. That same evening we had another flash flood, and the basement started backing up again (infuriating)...We called and he came back out at 10 o' clock at night on his way back from another job and did not charge because he had just been there! He flushed everything back out the main line and we have not had a problem since. It is very reassuring to deal with someone who is so responsive, and stands by his work. He calls back quickly, he's flexible, will come out evenings and weekends, and he's honest. You can hire him knowing that he's not going to screw you, even if he has to come back out if something goes wrong. Another thing that is good to know for anyone who is looking at major, expensive plumbing repairs (like install new copper lines for X thousands of dollars...) he can take a credit card for big jobs. The only phone call you need to make!!…read more Gave them a call around noon and Pat was out here by 2:30 on a very rainy day, when it's the busiest for them. I cannot even begin to explain what an angel Pat is. Within a few minutes he was able to assess the situation and provide a temporary fix with a referral that could come out the same day. He was even willing to lend us his sump pump until all the water from our French drain was pulled. Since we had borrowed one already, he helped us set that one up. On top of coming out to help, he was explaining everything along the way which is incredibly helpful for when we may run into the same issue in the future. We truly appreciated the fast service and honesty. We had called another local company to come out and they were trying to charge us $49 just to come look at it. Don't be fooled when you're in these desperate situations and call the people that actually want to help and inform you. We're all working really hard for our money and these guys have a lot of respect for that. I can't refer them enough and they'll always be our first call should we ever have any more permanent issues.

The owner of this plumbing service is a crook on multiple levels. They took $500 and in the end…read morefixed nothing and broke something and left our place in shambles. Our basement flooded and instead of trying to identify and resolve the real problem, they tried to scam us for thousands of dollars. Here's how the scheme goes. Pretending like they are trying to fix the real problem (which was actually a faulty pump) and instead created a nightmare situation in our house by removing the toilet and not returning it back in it's place, leaving the place an absolute mess, not resolving the flooding and further damaging the pump with a snake and saying we can't finish today, we need to come back tomorrow. They did this 3 times over 3 days and each time, they tried to convince us that the job would cost more money, claiming in the end that excavation would be necessary and it would cost $7k-$10k+. In the meantime, they kept us "hostage" with a disaster in our home. Then when we got a second opinion, we realized what was going on. When we asked them why didn't you even inspect the pump, they claimed "you said you didn't have a pump." A professional plumber would know that a pump is present somewhere in the home with a basement and not need to ask the homeowner. Now, they won't repair the completely ruined pump (which clearly shows damage from a snake), they won't refund us, nor pay for the further damage sustained to the pump and won't even return to put the toilet back in place. Please be aware that these guys do not have your best interests in mind. All we asked is that they refund us the $500 and put the toilet back on so that a reputable plumbing company can just fix the pump. The additional damage they caused to the pump with the snake is costing us over $1,000. What kind of business charges $500 to create further damage where the real issue is and claim the "real issue" is somewhere else that's going to cost more and try to keep repeating this scenario over and over to squeeze us for more money and not actually resolve anything.
