    Peppers, mushrooms cheesesteak

Small shop that made our cheesesteaks to the order. Very fresh and super delicious. I recommend stopping here if you can to give it a try- I really enjoyed the peppers, mushroom, steak and cheese one.

I got the mushroom steak. I was standing next to a Liscio's bread box, which made me happy. It was raining so I had a car picnic. I was not very excited when I unwrapped my cheesesteak. It was looking a little thin. I was happy when I broke it apart to take my center-cut picture because there was a sneaky good amount of meat in the Liscio's roll. I was even more happy to see that the grill guy got the provolone cheese to melt. I got sweet peppers, they added a nice flavor. Nice place and people. I wish the Cheesesteak was a little bigger.

They posted a picture of their food which had steak fries, I didn't receive steak fries..I received cheap, thin, dry crinkle cut fries which ended up in the trash. As for the onion rings, they are fast food style. The ones in their picture look pretty good, were these the same ? Maybe, I'm not sure so I won't worry about the rings, just know a small box is $5..fast food style, not big breaded ones. As you can see, the cheesesteak was very light on the meat. I feel like I wasted $65 dollars on 3 steaks with little meat, 3 sides of cheap fries and fast food onion rings. The bubble tea was fine, never had it before so I can't compare. Waste of time and money. It's ashame because I received a menu for the sushi place next door in my bag and believe they are related. I love Kasumi sushi and was one of the first to give them a five star review. I'll never come back here though.

2nd half of the jawn. Nickel for reference. Pathetic excuse for a cheesesteak. I want my money back!

Today was the day. I finally decided to give this place a shot. I should've known something was up when I didn't see a line. The gentleman that took my order was very nice and I even tipped a buck - thinking he would hook my cheesesteak up.. But apparently I was wrong as could be. You gotta be kidding me with the skimpiness of the meat. They have the nerve to charge $10.25 for a version of a cheesesteak that should only cost 6 dollars tops! They're getting two stars instead of one because the place was actually clean and the guy was nice. The drink selection was also OK. I'm expecting a FAT mouthwatering cheesesteak.. one that I can eat half now and eat the other half later. I don't think I've been been this disappointed in weeks. This place should definitely be out of business soon, hopefully the family that runs it, loses ALL of their money because they should not even be in business. This was a YUGE misteak! Take your business elsewhere.. anywhere but here!

This is a brand new Cheesesteak shop in South Philadelphia where the bread is very soft and the beef is fresh, especially the Penrose burger. The kids and I love it. If the fries could be better, that would be perfect. And milk tea is also great.highly recommend 。

The only thing that I liked was the roll. I would not return. It tasted like minute steak from the acme.

Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3 Cost to worth it rating: 3 Opentableable: no reservations Return worthiness: yes! Eve awards best cheesesteak of my life--still thinking about it Highlights: - The bread: a soft long roll with sesame seeds was a delight I didn't see coming. - Meat: was lightly seasoned but kept its pure flavor. Most cheesesteaks have such bland meat so this did it right - Cheese: melty coopers cheese was perfectly mixed in. - Onions: just the right soloing if grilled onions mixed in to complement the meat but not overwhelm it. - Size: monstrous! You can easily share (but you may not want to). - Fairly efficient: even with long lines, put your phone number in the kiosk, can pay with credit card, and wait til you are texted to pick it up. - For the whole family: my cranky teen son said it's the best thing he ate on our 23 day summer East Coast trip (including lots of great dining spots around Philly and NYC). Lowlights: - Waits can be long and brutal in heat. We got lucky with a shorter line. - No seating: just an ordering counter inside so many are eating out on the sidewalk.

Yes!!! Hear me out: get pizza or cheesesteaks here, walk and munch on it on your way to John's water ice. Get in line for John's and by the time you get your dessert you'd be done w your pizza. Perfect evening. Now onto the food review. The star is THE BREAD. The pizza's crust was chewy and crispy. We had the white pizza and devoured it. It's also MASSIVE for 2 people. The cheesesteak was loaded (could use more seasoning but maybe they intentionally make it that was as a baseline), the seed roll? PHENOMENAL. The lines are confusing. Lowkey I think they have the opportunity to make their signings better. Dear owner if you see my review, see the 2 perfect rectangles right above the door? Hear me out, one sign per rectangle that says order on the left and pick up on the right. That will solve everyone's confusion and save your team from yelling at customers "ORDER OVER HERE!" Win-win. We asked for a cheesesteak w mushroom and was charged for it but it didn't come with mushrooms :( we do appreciate the speed though and they'll keep your food in a warmer until you pick up (how thoughtful!) There is absolutely no seating inside, definitely a grab and go place!

The important thing though, is that I finally went there today and got a cheesesteak with fried onions. The first thing I did when I got home was weigh it. 2.3 lbs of cheesesteak goodness. Naturally, the enormity of the thing comes at a cost: $19.10 out the door. Being honest, I don't know what started this trend of "more food than you can possibly eat", but it's "a thing" now, so what can you do? Buy it, and share or save half for later. But, back to the steak. I'd say the closest competitor that I'm aware of would be High Steaks in Ambler, but in terms of meat to cheese ratio and flavor, I'm giving Verona the edge. In fact, I'd say it's the best or tied with the best cheesesteak I've ever eaten, and I'm old - so that's saying a lot. So we've got a great a steak that will easily serve two, a friendly staff, and prices within the realm of what you'd expect for August 2026. In addition to those tangible things, I take some joy in seeing that the choke hold once around the wallets of locals by that other place that shares it's name with it's location, has finally been broken. Competition is a great thing, and when you're greeted with a smile and a "thank you" that accompanies your order, that makes a huge difference, and is very refreshing. Overall: Delicious cheesesteak, friendly service, and they seem to appreciate that you're giving them your business. That's an A+ in my book.
