I called at 10:30 and they said they could make an appointment for me at 11:30, I took the car over early and they politely declined squeezing me in early, but it exactly 11:27, they took my car in. I love that they keep their word on the time, and when they said it would take an hour, it didn't even take that long. I got both a full write up on what was good and bad about the car and a generous estimate on what it would take to fix the cars particular problem, and an insurance that if I bought the car, and brought it back, that I could get the repair done for less than what they quoted, then said "but you'll need that to negotiate better.". Thank you! While I was waiting on my car, I watched the chief mechanic bring the keys back to a young man who was there because of a brake issue. The chief mechanic said, it's $150 for the inspection of the brake system but I'm not going to charge you that because I think I already know what's wrong with it. It's a repair that's going to cost somewhere in the realm of $2,500, so I'm not going to charge you for the inspection, and here's your keys, you go on ahead and think about what you can afford to do. Wow. That was a kindness for a young man who probably didn't have all kinds of excess funds. It's nice to know that business owners still keep the big picture in mind.
