Hate to give a bad review, but I went here for an oil change and overall maintenance. Couple Weeks later my check engine light came on and my car said my oil was low. My father checked my oil for me and I was completely empty. Turns out the guy who changed my oil never connected the tube and also left 3 screws out of my oil panel so all the oil that he put in leaked out I was completely empty. I called them and had a talk with one of the front desk guys, he told me he would have the manager call me back and I never heard from them again. Not to mention I knew the guy who was doing my oil was a little off considering my keys flew off the windshield when he brought my car around the parking lot and he didn't even notice. Almost 200$ for nothing Just to need to pay for more oil to replace it. Never again read more

After going to this "service shop" on many occasions to have one of my cars serviced and have my inspection done on many occasions I went today for this years inspection. I ran into the service manager Pedro. He seemed irritated with life! I told him I was due for an inspection and he told me straight up it wasn't going to pass. It seems odd because for the last three years I came here for inspection and it passed with flying colors. Pedro seemed like he wasn't interested in working and doing his job but after convincing him I really needed to get this done today He then finally said okay took my money and my car in the back and 40 mins later came back with a fail notice. I was like wtf is this. He explained that he told me it wasn't going to pass. This service shop is nothing more then a scam. There expensive and they fix nothing. They overbook appointments on their website and when you show up you have to wait forever which wouldn't be bad if the waiting room wasn't standing room only from all the other people waiting on their service. I wish I can give zero star ,I would gladly do that, please stay away from prep boys ,they are rippers amd scammers and that a shame ,I went to get my break fixed and they charged me 1650 ,after bargaining they brought it down to 1154 ,I did it and left, after two weeks I went to mavin autos to enquiry about the breaks just to know if prep boys ripped me off and yes I was ripped of ,mavin said to fix my break would cost me just 700 dollars, I felt really bad and I considered prep boys to be nothing but thieves taking advantage of innocent hard working people. read more

Haven't had a bad experience here yet. I always bring mine or the wife's car here for basic oil changes to tires and brakes. I try and use the same guy when I come here since he knows the cars. The longest I ever waited was probably 2 hours. But you don't have to stay and wait , you can drop off your car and they will call you when it's ready. Or if they have to keep it overnight. Thank God they have free WiFi and a Dunkin' Donuts in the parking lot Lol. But all in all they are pretty professional whenever I come . Not to mention there the only mechanic shop in the area and they have a very good track record. It's always busy here but they try very hard to get to your car so they don't keep you waiting. PLEASE READ Before I posted a 5 star review talking about how amazing everyone is. Although I can't blame everyone in there this store is full of lying money stealing dishonorable people. I spent $4000 fixing every single little thing on my car having a guarantee it was now in tip top shape. 3 months later car shuts down in the middle of the highway with my BABY in it (which they know about) only to be told by other mechanics the car had engine failure from the start and never should have had anything fixed at all. It was a goner. After demanding a refund back and having it taken to their insurance company these boys have the nerve to say I knew about the engine failure but didn't care? LIKE ANYONE WOULD EVER SAY THAT ESPECIALLY WITH A BABY AT RISK! Disgusting and despicable. I am so hurt and upset by these guys because I truly trusted them and liked them. read more

Took my 2020 Mercedes GLE in for a routine inspection this past Saturday. They told me the inspection failed because it needed break pads. Wasn't going to have it done there. I'd feel much more comfortable bringing it to the dealership where it was purchased. When they returned my car to me it was missing the inspection sticker. They just removed it without consulting, or telling me. This was unnecessary of them to do. Horrible people. Will never go here again nether the less recommended anyone to these people. read more

They took over an hour to get this done, after bumping me to take care of another customer who was returning because his vehicle was leaking oil after one of their oil changes. Terrible place. Brought in my car for a simple tire change and left with it making a consistent screeching noise. The car made 0 noise before bringing it to them and after, it was so loud you can hear it even with the windows up and everything. Brought it to them the next day and they told it was something else and said they would charge me to fix it. I told them the noise only started after they changed my tires and the guy called it a "freak coincidence". Not a freak coincidence like they say. Do yourself a favor and take your car to a mechanic or shop that actually knows what it's doing. If I could give it lower than 1 star, trust me I would. Do not recommend. Don't bring your car here. Currently at Pep Boys to get my brand new car inspected. And the worker walks up to us smoking a cigarette. I ask him not to smoke in my car. He says something inaudible as he is speaking with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth. I hate the smell of cigarettes and now I have this man who works for Pep Boys who is smoking on the clock and now his clothing will smell up my vehicle. So unprofessional, on top of that I have bad allergies and seasonal asthma. read more
