I went to this location by mistake but I am so happy I did. I needed a new tire as I had a screw in the side wall of the tire. I walked in and was greeted by Kevin the assistant manager. Explained what I needed and he did not hesitate to help me. Took the car back and started. Now mind you this was 15 min before closing. As luck would have it the tire I needed was not in stock. BUT did Kevin give up and tell me to come back tomorrow? No He did not!!!! he send a very nice young man to go get the tire from the other store. Now mind you this was 730 PM ! after closing. During the time we waited he offered coffee and conversation witch was just amazing. Not once did I feel like I was imposing or a hassle. Kevin is what stores need in this day and age. Terrible customer service from Bryan. Went to take my car in, scheduled an appointment online and saw it was 24.99. When I arrived I was told that I could only put a certain type of oil in my vehicle. And that it was going to be almost $100. When I told him another place was less, he did not price match. Just said oh sorry that's all I can do. He did mention a $20 off coupon, but did not care to what I wanted in my car. Other pepboys have not only price matched, but supply a paper to state that I'm approving to what services I'm requesting. I've never had a bad experience at a pepboys until I went to this store. I came in to simply have a battery replaced. At least 5 technicians were working. 3 vehicles were being worked on. I was here for over 2 and a half hours. I was also charged $167 for a battery. High prices and POOR service! This was my first time here and CERTAINLY MY LAST!!!! They claim express service for oil changes, battery replacement, tire repairs..... I visited the Jefferson St. Pep Boys on Thursday March 7th at approximately 7:20 am to ask about tires. I was told the tires for my vehicle were not in stock but were available. I asked to make an appointment for Saturday am and was told the tires should be there by then. I was told that someone would call me when the tires arrived. After recieving no phone calls all day Friday, I called at approximately 4 pm to see if perhaps the tires arrived. I was told "no" but they may still be on their way. On Saturday am, I called to check on the tires and (Kevin) said the tires were at their sister store on Winchester and that he would call me when they arrived. Today is Thursday March 14th and I have recieved no call that the tires made it from the sister-store to the Jefferson St. store. Amazing that no employee had taken the initiative to drive to the sister-store to pick up the tires for my vehicle or that a phone call from the Jefferson St. store manager to his/ her counterpart at the Winchester Ave. store was made to facilitate the service. Sal over here at Pep Boys is the genuine article. He went above and beyond to try to help us out when our car broke down during our weekend getaway to Temecula. The problem ended up being an electrical issue and they were not equipped to fix the problem at this facility, but it wasn't for a lack of trying. Sal and his crew tried all day, while my wife and I were out having fun wine tasting, to get our car to start. They were under no obligation to go to that length to try to help us, but Sal genuinely wanted to do everything he could to not let our car trouble get in the way of our vacation. I have mixed feelings about Pep Boys in Temecula. First the negatives, parking is a problem. Many of the spaces are right in front of the bays and I always feel like I am going to collide with cars going in and out of bays. I have also had a problem with getting my car back with grease stains on the mats. I also do not like they charge to diagnose your problem and the diagnosis charge is not applied to the repair. What I like are often the prices are good. The sales people and most of the employees are very friendly. I like that they have a very well stocked store next to where repairs are done. I came here last Saturday for an oil change appointment and also for them to diagnose my car because it has a weird noise in it that I suspect it's either from my power steering or maybe the transmission. Jesse was very kind and accommodating. He went through all the services he was going to provide with my car that day in detail and told me that his crew are going to get my oil change done as well as have a test drive on my car to see what's going on. An hour later, they told me they could not pin point what's wrong with my car. One of the technicians/mechanics escorted me to the back area where they try to figure out what's going on with my car, and asked me if the noise I'm hearing is the same noise I was talking about earlier. The background alone is already very noisy in the shop and I had a hard time telling them if it was really the noise I'm hearing. An hour later, they all told me it's something that they could not pin point what's really wrong. Jesse told me it's not even the power steering nor my transmission. He assured me that I can still drive safely. I came home. Not really satisfied knowing that I can still hear the annoying noise when I accelerate and make turns. 2 days later, the noise has gotten worse, even my coworkers said my car sounds like a monster. It sounds horrible. I am thinking, maybe they didn't try hard enough to see what's really going on. I had the same problem last year and the other Pep boys were able to fix it. That being said, I think I will just have to go back there and maybe they can assist me better. Overall, the facility is clean and staff are very friendly and accommodating. Top notch customer service and quality of work!! Thanks Bryan (the rep/manager at the front) and Luis (the service tech). I went there today to do a troubleshoot on my clutch system. I was assuming it was air in the clutch system, and also was told by a buddy that it can be a leak in the clutch master cylinder. Pep Boys checked it out and said it was due to air in the system. They could have easily fibbed and said was due to a leak, which would have cost about $350-$400 to fix. Instead, they were honest, unlike other shops I've experienced and "profit hungry" dealerships. Pep Boys here on Jefferson St. made me feel very comfortable and felt at ease that they will get it done right with superb customer service. I have been going to this location for the past few years when it used to be a Discount Tires and Service. It was great back then, and didn't realize the great service and quality carried over to the new staff when it was bought out by this current Pep Boys. I will definitely continue to return to Pep Boys on Jefferson St. for every service need for my vehicles. Just got my car back not even 10 minutes ago and had to write a review next. I am so glad I didn't listen to all of the horrible feedback people gave me about Pep Boys. Jesse and Bryan out here in Temecula are seriously awesome and did everything they could to help me for the most minimal price, seeing the situation I was in. The guy who did the work on my car for two separate days, Luis Galvan, apparently has early his right as the top tech at 21 years old. He proved that. One day he stayed an extra hour late fixing my car. Unfortunately I did have to come back the next day, but who cares. I came back the next day and he had the new starter in my car in maybe 30 minutes, if that. These guys are awesome. I was an Autozone chick, now I've changed my mind. I went to the Temecula Pep Boys on 8/23 for a set of front brake pads and upon arriving home realized I was given a box with four inner pads. The return went well and I decided to give my 1997 Wrangler TJ to them for the brake work. I had an appt at 9am on 8/26 and dropped it off right at 9. At 316pm I was paid for and driving back to Murrieta until I realized the Jeep was pulling to the right upon braking. I turned around, stated the issue, and the Service Dept took it back in. They stated they made adjustments to the rear drums and drove it around the lot. At this time, the Service Rep told me that, "it drives like a Jeep". Granted, it's a Jeep, but it drove very well upon dropping it off with the exception of the mushy brake pedal. For $158.00, I was provided with Front OE brake service labor, $46.99 was Wagner QS front pads, $63.40 was Brake fluid change labor, $6.59 was 32oz of brake fluid, $26.67 was the Dorman rear drum hardware kit, $26.05 was the Dorman rear wheel cylinder, $120.00 was labor for the rear, $00.00 was the Brake system inspection, and $4.79 was the CRC 14oz N-CHL BRKLN(?). I walked out of there AGAIN with the same problem I walked in with after repairs were made. My Jeep is pulling to the right and the experts that repaired my brakes and completed a BRAKE SYSTEM INSPECTION were now telling me to drive it for 150 miles to see if it gets better. $462.21 was my total for the day. Once home, I decided to pull up the stores website and price the part numbers used on my repairs. #ZD712 was $39.99 and I was charged $46.99. #HW7265 was $9.99 and I was charged $26.67. #W610166 was $10.99 and I was charged $26.05. #05054 is the Brake Cleaner, 14oz, that runs $3.83 in the store but $4.79 on my bill. That was the whole can? Now being overcharged $39.70 for parts may not seem like a big deal but if that gets down to each customer with repair work I'd imagine it adds up pretty quickly. If my repairs were conducted properly and I felt safe driving my Jeep I may not have even addressed this but I am compelled to write this based on my customer service today. read more

These guys did an awesome job taking care of me and my vehicle. I am not from this area and was a little lost. I looked up Pep Boys, because they are my number one shop in my neighborhood, and happy to say I found this shop. I needed a new starter, that would not be in till the next day and my family and I were on our way up to Los Angeles. They suggested the Enterprise right down the street (I think they called ahead and got me a better rate), They even gave me a ride down to the rental place to pick up the rental (who does that?, these guys, that who). I was so excited about getting on here to write a review because of the EXCELLENT service I received from Salvatore, Kevin and Bryan, not to forget to mention those hard working guys in the back. Got my car back and it was working perfectly, the price was exactly what we discussed and it came with a lifetime warranty, very happy from start to finish. I don't give a lot of praise to most, but these guys went above and beyond my expectations and my family and I are very appreciative of all that they did for me last Tuesday. I do and always will be a loyal Pep Boys customer. This place was awesome (I think, even better than my local one), this place really isn't like any other I have been to. The Temecula, CA Pep Boys at 40605 Winchester Rd. has the most dishonest service department ever! Every customer is told they need additional services regardless of why they brought the car in. I believe they even damage parts on purpose and then show the customer the need for repairs. I believe they cut a very good tire (had only 13,000 miles on it) so they could sell me a tire while the car was in for an oil change. I will never go into this store again! He told me what im going to need done, he explained what they was gone do it the price of each thing and the approximate time wait. The technician wasn't in the day that I came I made an appointment to come back that morning and drop my car off and they did a diagnost on it . He called me and told me what it was and if it was okay if they can fix it and I said yes and they called me when it was ready.
