Hit or miss. They always F up to go orders every time. I wouldn't call this place authentic Mexican by any means, but the food can be tasty. To go: I order the fish burrito, grilled; not authentic mexican, but tasty. The California burrito is insulting. When I eat inside I get the tacos. somedays the lengua, carnitas and barbacoa can be good. I recommend ordering just meat, onions cilantro and salsa. But you have to ask for the other salsas, the carrot one they give you with chips is TRASH! But either way best thing in west tatnuk. They didn't follow protocols and we noticed a guy that wasn't wearing a mask walking through the kitchen. I am at high risk because of pregnancy and this did not make me feel comfortable. Two other employees had their masks barely over their mouth and not covering their nose. We paid for food but had to leave because we were not sure if was safe to eat there. There were indoor tables as well and people cannot wear masks while they are chewing on their foods so the whole mask requirement is a sham. read more

Seems like Pepe's has been going downhill lately. My last few experiences in particular been very disappointing. Last night my friend and I went to Pepe's and our waitress would not stop interrupting our conversation. I appreciate the serving staff checking on us but asking me 5 about desert five times within 20 mins is excessive.Also, if you can see me eating my food don't ask me 3 different times if I want a box. If food is in my mouth clearly I'm eating. All in all the experience felt very rushed and unpleasant. Attentiveness is fine but bugging your customers in suggestive ways is not. read more

In Worcestershire to move my daughter into her first apartment I offered to buy lunch. Pepe's taqueria delivered! Delicious beef tongue tacos, huge burritos, abundant and flavorful rice bowls. The star for flavor in my fat guy opinion is the pork skin tacos. Have you ever had the crispy skin from a roasted pork shoulder? Imagine this skin in a taco. Crispy with a porky rich flavor combined with the fresh crispy vegetables. Can't beat it. Fat guy heaven!! Try one. Tell me I'm wrong. This was all takeout. We also ordered guacamole with chips and the carne asada entree. I had to drop a star for lack of fresh slice of lime for tacos and lack of salt for the guacamole. Everything else was spot on. It's no secret there isn't good Mexican in New England.... We've lived here 17 years, born and raised in California, so we MISS good Mexican food. Tonight we found it! Delicious, authentic, amazing! We tried the barbacoa l, carnitas and adobo tacos, all fantastic. The hit of the night was the birra plate. We also had the Chiriqueso app, so good! Homemade green hot sausage was very tasty too! Only thing we didn't care for was the free salsa. Way too thin w/shredded carrots, taste was fine, but will pass on that next time. The sister restaurant to el patron near Kelley square, has the same authentic vibes and meals. The interior is decorated with skeletons, kinda reminds me of the Disney movie Coco. They restaurant contains affordable tacos of different meats, pork, steak, ground beef. Honestly the tacos are my go to, along with their huge margaritas! Pepe's left me very disappointed. The food was impressively underwhelming. The chips and salsa and guacamole were quite frankly worse than if I had bought this for myself from the grocery store. I ordered the Trio Enchiladas (1 roja, 1 mole, and 1 verde enchilda). They were fine, but lacking in any real spice and flavor and too salty for my taste. The margaritas were fine. It's fun that they offer so many different flavors to choose from. Aside from the food, the inside is quite festive and fun. However, the night we came here it was very cold outside (below 20degrF) and the inside of the restaurant was absolutely FREEZING! Everyone was wearing their coats while eating dinner. I was bitterly cold during the entire meal - did they ever turn the heat on??? Not so sure... Overall, a perfectly okay place to get mexican food but certainly nothing that will wow. We've gone here twice and honestly the food is just mediocre.. I gave it three stars because our waitress was really nice and attentive. Wey, aquí es que es. The only mexican place that's worth it's (margarita rim) salt in Worcester. The portions are huge and the prices are low, and this goes for both food AND drink. Seriously, $13 for a large margarita that's easily the amount of 2 or even 3 margaritas anywhere else (especially Boston). My favorite is the Jalapeño, just the right balance of spicy so that it has a respectable kick but won't give you an ulcer. I've only been here twice but both times I've gone for the carnitas quesadillas because they have sent me to Nirvana both times. And from what I can see for the other dishes, they are all big big portions and very fairly priced for the portions. The burritos are the size of newborn babies, I kid you not. Also, if it happens to be your birthday, the staff will sing for you and bring you a fun sombrero for you to wear (you don't get to keep it though, no matter how many margaritas try to convince you otherwise). My husband and daughters have always raved about this place. Anytime I've attempted to go, the place is packed. I was finally able to try it this last Friday. We went for lunch, only a handful of people in there. I got a carne asada burrito, something I haven't had in over 10 years, since leaving CA. OMG! This thing was massive, delicious, and just the way I like it. I wasn't able to finish it but I gave it my best effort. Service was great! He was very prompt and polite. The tomatillo salsa was a bit salty, but still excellent. My only complaint was in the packing of my order. Atmosphere is great, it seems a little less hectic as it is spread out with the bar in its own room and tables in the next room. Decor is simple and nice. Margs and food were excellent. Still can get the large margaritas you find at El Patron. I ordered the enchiladas and they were fantasic. Chicken was moist and i couldn't clear my plate. Boyfriend ordered the Asadas plate and was content. There is a parking area in the rear of the building which is a huge benefit. Waiter was awesome as well. I stopped in with a friend Thursday afternoon. Our waitress Daniela was super sweet, attentive, and knew the menu. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated, great atmosphere. It's the perfect place for after work drinks or a night out with friends! Try the pineapple chili margarita!! I got chorizo tacos and tres leches cake for dessert. First time I've been to this place, my wife felt like having Mexican food so using Yelp I found peppes and honestly it's a hidden gem. We were seated almost immediately and chips and salsa were complimentary upon sitting down. The food is great huge portions, my waiter recommended the fish tacos grilled and they were amazing my wife had the chicken fajita and I think it will feed three people. The funny thing is i sat down and me and my wife were watching people just order huge burritos again amazing. The mood of the restaurant is very nice friendly fast service.
