This place has the best tofu in the Denver Metro Area! I always order a dish with tofu and fried rice. I love how it's crispy and golden. Some other places have tofu and it's soggy when in combination. Pepper Asian's tofu is always firm and has the perfect texture. I love how close it is to my house as well. They quickly accommodated our last-minute reservation for eight over the phone on a busy Saturday night and were genuinely hospitable from the start. The food quality and portion sizes were spot on, and all dietary needs were met with grace and care. Service was excellent, attentive with drink refills, respectful of our conversation, and thoughtful with their timing of bring takeout containers when it was clear we weren't ready to be rushed out. Curry noodles were fine. Flavor was good, but definitely could've used more beef, since you pay extra for it. Also leaves strong yellow residue on your tongue, which isn't the restaurant's fault, but I'm just tossing it out there. Food came out quickly, and waitress was nice. read more

This is a great spot for Asian-American food. Every plate I've had has always hit the spot and been so delicious. I've never gotten her name, but there is one waitress here that is always infectious with her friendly demeanor, is prompt, helpful, and super accommodating. Every time I've gone, the restaurant is always clean and organized. We've gotten delivery twice over the last month or so and think we may have a new favorite in the area. The sesame tofu had a nice chew and crunch to it, unlike others I've had. We also tried the pad see ew and it's delicious! The delivery times took about an hour, which was less than the website says it'll take on a weekend. She was very attentive, quick and was always there to get us refills. The food has such great flavor and comes out nice and hot! We ordered the hot and sour and egg drop soup which came out nice and hot with some green onions on top. Next, chicken fried rice, chicken lo mein and sesame chicken . It's incredibly savory and rich that compliments the crispy Calamari. The crab cheese wontons are the best I've had in a while. These are full of crab cheese and the skin is so crispy it just brings everything together. The texture is smooth and tastes rich in cheese but not overwhelming. You need to get either one of these when you come here. THE ORANGE CHICKEN: Hey call me basic but this orange chicken is literally one of the best I've ever had. Fantastic find! We arrived on a Friday night and were not disappointed at all. At first, the restaurant did seem a little unorganized as we were waiting by the door for a few minutes without being acknowledged, but once they sat us down, everything fell into place. Not only was the staff attentive, they were very quick to get us waters, menus, and get our orders out. We ordered 5 entrées to share, and we were not disappointed. Ok im gonna start off by saying Denver has a panhandling problem and we need to stop it. We are the ones responsible because we give and give. With that being said - this place was a great lunch spot until a man came in and walked up to my table and as i had my wallet out asked me for $5. I understand that since it was a seat yourself restaurant that they didn't stop him from entering. After i told him no he went to another table and started harassing them for money and yelling at them about their heritage. I advised the man at register that the man shouldnt have been allowed to be in here. Now for the food, Food was fresh tasting and delicious. The service here is amazing. Even on a busy night, they were so kind to get my group seated quickly. I was with a group of 6 and it took 10 minutes for all of our food to come out! They are so fast, very attentive and the food is well worth it. They have large portions, big enough to be able to share or have some extra to take home. We've tried a few different dishes like the Panang curry and the Pad Thai in the past but our most recent order consisted of Pepper steak and peanut curry both with fried rice. My favorite part about this place is that they actually serve good fried rice unlike that mildly seasoned, pale ass rice that some Asian food spots around the area serve. The curry was phenomenal! Perfectly flavored and creamy with a hint of spicy. The Pad Thai was not my favorite although It is usually my to go dish. To me, theirs lacked a lot of flavor and the noodles where over cooked. I am always in need of a good Asian food and found this to have a mixture of Thai and Chinese-American dishes. We have ordered about 5-6 times in the last 2 months alone and have been able to sample a decent variety. Most has been take-out so I can not speak as to their service. I have used UberEats for most of the takeout and noticed around a $4 difference per dish between the UberEats menu versus the restaurant menu. Mango Chicken - 4 stars in that it was great flavor and tender chicken but very few piece of mango that were limp and overcooked. I did love the crunch of the water chestnut. General Tso's Chicken - 5 stars - perfect rendition of the dish with the guise of eating healthy with the broccoli and peppers Pad Thai - 5 stars consistently. Very well flavored with all of the right textures. Basil Chicken - 5 stars with perfectly tender chicken and fragrant basil Chicken Coconut curry - 4 stars - well flavored dish but very little "gravy". I was hoping that this would be more of a hearty soup Orange Chicken - 5 stars - great fresh flavor, not the typical concentrated orange flavor Sweet and Sour Chicken - 1 star - the only dish I hated. I would not recommend this for take-out at least. We were presented with a dish of batter fried chicken. We were given a second container of cloyingly sweet sauce that was #1 no where near enough for the chicken and #2 contained about 4 measly pieces of pineapple and about the same amount of bell pepper. This place has been around for a few years and has always looked intriguing to me with its elegant, black awnings and large, tinted windows. I walk past it constantly (on my way to the local Starbucks!), but have never chosen to stop in. My friend was dying for a noodle dish and it's right in our neighborhood, so this seemed like the perfect time to give it a try. The first room is cute with a tiny bar, a striking stone wall, and a few tables. The larger, second room is pretty drab with tables on one side and booths on the other. I was hoping for a little more elegance, but we were seated in a large booth that was comfortable and reasonably private. We started with the potstickers. These came out almost instantly--within 30 seconds of ordering. The sauce was good and the dumplings were very flavorful, but whatever scheme the kitchen used to keep them at temperature did have an effect. The dough was a little tough and lacked the unctuous mouth feel of a cooked-from-scratch product. A little disappointing. I then had a cup of wonton soup. This was delicious. Full of flavor and full of the little dumplings, more than I've ever seen in a bowl of this soup. It was great. My friend ordered the Lo Mein combo which came with a mix of proteins, I believe beef, chicken, and shrimp. I had the Happy Family which is, I confess, an Americanized "Chinese" dish featuring chicken, beef, shrimp, and scallops in a brown sauce with a variety of vegetables. Well, I like it, even if it's not at all authentic. The main dishes arrived barely warm. It was a chilly night and the restaurant was not that warm, either, nor had the plates been heated, so the food was cold pretty quickly. So was my tepid "hot" tea which I sent back. The second cup was much warmer, which I appreciated. You are apparently allotted only one cup of tea per meal at this restaurant as my (generous) cup came out without an accompanying pot and I was never offered a refill. My friend enjoyed her noodle dish and the proteins were nicely prepared. I was not as happy with my Happy (?) Family. Again, the proteins were generous and well-cooked, but all of the vegetables were extremely al dente. The green beans were totally raw and very hard to eat. The other components were beyond crunchy. I took most of the dish home and re-cooked the vegetables before eating the leftovers. This place has a lot of promise, but the decor and execution leave much to be desired. read more
