She was super friendly from the start, explained everything clearly, and had such a warm, welcoming energy. You can tell she genuinely cares about the customers and isn't just doing her job, she goes out of her way to make sure you're comfortable and enjoying everything. She checked in at just the right times, was really attentive without being overwhelming, and just had the sweetest attitude. It made such a difference. Shrinkflation or Straight up F U to me. Let me start off by saying I could count how many Veggies I had in my dish with both hands. That's including my corn. They really cheap out on my meal for sure. Also ONE puny slice of tofu. Even the rice portion was half the size Pepper Lunch normally serves. I felt like I had a kids meal for a second. We were welcomed right away and the energy was super friendly. KHAYA patiently answered all our first-timer questions, gave us honest food suggestions that slapped, and treated us with so much kindness. His humor, positivity, and customer service were top-tier. Thank you for being so chill even though we probably asked the most basic things imaginable. After standing for over 10 hours at our jobs, we finally sat down and Nate came through with water, with ice. That might not sound like much, but our work fridge was broken and we hadn't had ice all day. I almost shed a tear. #Lifesaver. The food came out quickly (we were the only ones there but more people showed up AYYEE) the portions were solid, and everything tasted way better than we expected. Like actually good. The food came out pretty dang quick and the service was top notch. Which was perfect because we can sit comfortably with the kids without worrying about being too loud. Date night at Spectrum got to stop by Pepper Lunch before our movie. Wow! Melissa the store manager is warm and friendly. She helps us navigate the various protein options and provides excellent recommendations. I highly recommend the beef jumbo. FOOD/SERVICE: Our food came way after the other tables around us but i was ok with it cuz i understand that opening days are always chaotic and disorganized. What I do not tolerate however is receiving a completed different side order from what i paid for. I ordered a sweet potato fries and my friend ordered regular potato fries. We received 2 sweet potato fries. Told the server we actually ordered regular potato fries for one of the orders. She says "yeah but we're out of regular potatoes. this is all we have" and walked away. i was a little taken aback at how the server just confidently said that as if that was ok and we ended up just letting it go. Would've saved $5 if we know that regular fries were not available. My friend didn't even touch the sweet potato fries cuz she doesn't like them. Side order of RED onions came to our table as raw WHITE onions. and WAY after we've already received our hot plate so the onions were not even able to cook so it was RAW. it was so spicy it was very hard to finish. I also understand that this was a BOGO meal so maybe you guys decided to put a little less in the plates but come on..... i got scraps of beef on my plate.... Overall, even with the coupons, I highly doubt I'll ever be back. I'm surprised by the amount of 5 stars in here and maybe we were just a one off experience. read more
