Always a family favorite for any of our birthdays!! The kids love the entertainment and the food is great.

Found this place on here and decided to come out for a weekday dinner. We made a reservation and were able to be seated early which was great. Parking out front, could see it getting hectic when it is busy on the weekends. Our chef was a delight, really felt the energy and was super engaging. He threw rice for us to watch in our mouth, first try by the way. Food was delicious as well, I got the shrimp and salmon which were both delicious. They were cooked to perfection and seasoned generously. Fried rice was great as well, always worth the upgrade from regular rice. Veggies were delicious as well, one of the few times that veggies taste just as good as the entree. Really solid meal overall and decently priced. Could definitely see myself back here soon!

This review is so long overdue! We have been going to Koki's for years! It's a super fun place to dine. The food is absolutely amazing and servers are all so sweet with unbelievable chefs. It's rare going to a place where you feel like family. They definitely have the special sauce where the owners know who you are and are so gracious, hospitable and thankful that you are dining at Koki's. If you're going there for your birthday, they make it extra special. You get a hat, jingle song and a picture. Tonight was a bit different for us. We wanted to stay home, chill, not cook yet have an amazing meal...so we ordered Koki's to go! It was the same amazing food with all the sauces and all the big portions so highly recommend dining in or if you feel like chilling then order it to go. Thank you Koki's for being one of our absolute favorite restaurants!

I've always enjoyed dinner being made in front of me especially performing some kitchen tricks like the fiery volcano or tossing food into our mouths. Pure entertainment while eating some good food! During my visit, it was my girlfriend's mother's birthday and it was all of our first time attending! We had the dinner special which offers beef onion soup, salad, shrimp appetizers, choice of meat and rice (or fried rice as an upgrade) FOOD Beef Onion Soup Not bad as a small soup. Pretty straight to the points in what it is, contains some mushrooms but has a nice taste to it. House Salad Nice refresher to get things started before the main entree arrives. 7 Piece Gyoza These were delicious, the sauce just added more to it! There's a peanut sauce that they had, HIGHLY recommend dipping your gyoza into that! Shrimp Appetizer Enjoyable and prepared with entertainment. From what I remember these were pretty decent sized shrimp! Fried Rice We opted in for the fried rice and I'm glad we did. I've always been a fried rice guy and highly recommend this if you're even thinking about it. Filet Mignon Quite delicious, cooked to perfection! I'm glad I selected this as my choice of meat. OVERALL It was a great birthday dinner and everyone at our table seem to be enjoying themselves! Friendly staff, very entertained and left full. We had to take ours home as it was a good amount of food. Quality AND quantity! Compliments to our Chef, Jon for making a great dinner. We'll be visiting soon!

Great food, even greater service. We recently tried another Hibachi restaurant and this one beat it by miles. Our chef was very entertaining and accommodating. He made sure the food was to everyone's liking and got us all to catch rice in our mouths- a Hibachi staple in my book. We loved it here and can't wait to come back!

Wife and I got to experience Koki's last night and it was our first teppanyaki experience with a show. We had a fun time. The chef (Venn?) was engaging and skilled. Loved to see that this place seems to be a tradition for many people who come to celebrate birthdays. We ordered the Special #3 - the wagyu was delicious, and we really liked the shrimp. Thankful for Rita and her family's hospitality. Highly recommended!

Ask the Community - Koki's Teppanyaki Grille

Do they charge a sharing fee?

Yes they do, it's a bit high too.

Would it be possible to bring our own tamari (gluten free soy sauce) for the chef to use? We have a party of 8 that would like to celebrate a birthday, but one of our members cannot have gluten which is in soy sauce

Yes you can provide your own Tamari Sauce as long as it hasn’t been opened. You can use that for the whole table too. If you wanted to use your own oil or butter you can also provide that too as long as it’s brand new.…

Is there no way to order online for pickup? The website claims to have that function, but just leads you to a number to call.

Right now, they only do phone orders.

    Do you still serve lunch?

    Yes, 11:30 am-2:00pm Monday - Friday

Do you have Wagyu Teppanyaki Set in dinner?

    No I’m sorry, not anymore.

Can you accommodate 10 around the grill? Looking at the photos, looks like it's limited to 8?

Hello Rick, Yes we have 4 tables that are built to have 10. You will need to call the restaurant to reserve it and if we don’t answer, you could leave us a message or make it on yelp for 8 and write in the notes you’d like to make it for 10. Thank…

I'm looking for a place to celebrate my birthday in November. How can I make a reservation for a larger group than 8 and what is the maximum?

Hello, how many people were you thinking? We have tables for up to 10 guest or if you have more, we can have the tables next to each other for a larger group.

Are you guys fully booked for 10/31/22 or are you guys closed that day? I would like to make a reservation for 8. I also am taking a baby but idk if you guys would count baby if baby will not be eating.

Hello, I’m sorry to let you know we are closed on Halloween, would you like to come the day before or after? And yes we do count the baby. I would say 8 plus a baby.

I plan on taking my mom tomorrow for a bday lunch, what time do you recommend to avoid rush time?

11:30am and I would make a reservation because we are still understaff.

Can I reserve thru yelp for party of 12?

No I’m sorry, you’ll have to call the restaurant to book any group that’s larger than 8 people.

    Do you have gift cards?

    Yes we do!

Is every dinner a show or is that something you have to request?

    Every dinner :)

If there's only two of us, do we have to sit with other people or can it just be us?

You can call for reservations and ask. 4 of us had a table to ourselves. It appears that they are doing very well with distancing groups, so it's a possibility you'll get a table to yourselves. Benihana isn't distancing (they are cramming different…

Are they good for birthday parties, 12-14 people will be coming ? Do hey have a separate room or anything for birthday parties ? Also do you allow decor, balloons, cake, etc.?

They have lots of birthdays. 12 ppl can sit around a table with a bridge but with more you'll need two tables. No separate room. No cakes or outside food because of covid.

Do you have vegan dish on the menu?

Only 1 dish called Vegetable delight

Do they have sushi as well?

Not that I am aware of but great teppan!!

Once the whole party was seated & our order was taken, we received our delicious ginger salad and miso soup quickly. When our chef arrived he was ready to put on a show! He was so fun, engaging and very genuine. All of the food was amazing. I got the filet mignon steak w/ fried rice and my husband gets the sumo steak. The filet mignon is definitely worth it but if you prefer more meat, the sumo steak is the way to go. The drinks are affordable and compared to other teppanyaki places, the food is affordable and absolutely worth it. They also offer a happy hour in the dining room only - does not include the teppanyaki grill area. Truly one of our favorite places!!

3.5/5 Stars - Nice Experience, But Some Service and Timing Issues…read more We visited Tabi-Ji Teppanyaki for my husband's birthday and had an overall decent experience, though there were a few things that would make us think twice before returning. We chose the dining room seating rather than the teppanyaki tables. The staff did offer us the teppanyaki experience, but since we don't eat red meat or chicken from certain places and weren't sure how the food preparation process worked with mixed ingredients, we opted for a regular table instead. One downside was the seating arrangement. We were seated away from most of the other guests, and it often felt like the staff forgot we were there. Our original host/server was attentive and friendly, but once they were busy with other tasks, it became difficult to get assistance. It was also not busy for a Tuesday evening. We found ourselves waiting for long periods or having to wave someone down, which wasn't ideal, especially for a birthday dinner. As for the food: * Crunchy Spicy Tuna Roll (4/5): Fresh, good quality fish, and a generous portion. A solid sushi roll. * Garlic Edamame (4/5): Flavorful and exactly what you'd expect from a good appetizer. * Lobster Duo with Miso Soup, Salad, and Fried Rice (3/5): Unfortunately, the lobster was quite chewy and seemed overcooked. The miso soup and fried rice were both enjoyable and helped make up for it. * Unagi Donburi (4/5): My husband's meal came with white rice, miso soup, salad, and fried rice. It was his first time trying eel, and he really enjoyed the soft texture and flavor. He said he'd definitely order it again. Our biggest disappointment was the timing of the food. The Unagi Donburi arrived significantly later than everything else. By the time it came out, we had already eaten most of the appetizers and other dishes and were pretty full. It's unfortunate because it seemed like a dish that would have been much better enjoyed fresh, but we ended up taking most of it home. Overall, the food ranged from good to very good, and being able to reserve through Resy and use our Amex dining benefit definitely helped offset the cost. However, considering the price point, we expected more attentive service and better pacing of the meal.

I didn't know it at the time, but this would end up being the best dish of the night. The mushrooms were perfectly sautéed and the truffle took everything to another level. An incredible way to kick off dinner. Next came the potato salad, which was a refreshing, chilled dish that balanced everything else we ordered. Then the beef tataki arrived. Thin slices of tender, perfectly seared beef served cold. It was simple, clean, and absolutely delicious. Our first round of skewers came alongside the Gindara (sweet miso black cod). I started with the miso pork belly skewer, and the flavor was unlike anything I've had before. Rich, savory, and incredibly satisfying. Now, I'm still on my journey of learning to enjoy seafood. My girlfriend has made it her mission to expand my palate, so she insisted we order the Gindara. She told me it was non-negotiable. I gave it an honest shot and managed a few bites, but the fishy flavor is still something I'm working on. She absolutely loved it though, so I know it was a great recommendation for seafood fans. After that I moved on to the Japanese beef skewers, which were incredibly tender and practically slid right off the stick. Just when we thought we were done, I made one last audible and ordered two more skewers: the chicken breast with yuzu pepper and the pork cheek. Best decision of the night. The chicken surprised me with an awesome kick from the yuzu pepper. Juicy, flavorful, and much spicier than I expected. In the best way possible. Then came the pork cheek. That single skewer became my favorite bite of the entire evening. The crispy edges, the savory saltiness, and the tenderness instantly reminded me of the pork chops my dad used to make when I was a kid. Food doesn't often bring back memories that vividly, but this one did. That nostalgic feeling made it the perfect ending to an already fantastic meal. If you're looking for a place where you can order a variety of small plates and experience new flavors, Honda-Ya is absolutely worth a visit. I'll definitely be back. Especially for those mushrooms and that pork cheek.
