The best place for hot sauces. They my brother and cousin bring in their own food to try the hottest pepper in the world.

We ordered several appetizers from the dumplings to the egg rolls to the wings and to the Bao buns. Everything was amazing! I ordered the red curry with chicken and shrimp for my entrée and it was absolutely delicious. For my drink, I had the Japanese old-fashioned, which was amazing as well. Overall experience was 10 out of 10. The ambience was great. The staff was friendly and attentive, and we had an amazing time. I would definitely recommend coming here.

However, this place was honestly quite good, along with excellent service and wonderful decor. Two of us started with some Edamame and Tom Kha Soup, which were both just alright. Where the meal started to shine was they brought the perfectly Seared Scallops w/ Vermicelli. I have been to Michelin starred restaurants that didn't have such a beautiful sear on their scallops. What a tasty treat! As for the entrees, the Braised Beef Short Rib was another spectacular dish. Falling off the bone tender and a rich savory sauce. However, the Bibimbap was nowhere near the quality we have in NYC. I honestly didn't expect to like this restaurant, but I really did enjoy the meal way more than anticipated. I will gladly return for those Seared Scallops and Braised Beef Short Rib again.

Where can I find it in Charlotte? I pinged them on their website chat this week and asked where it is for sale. They suggested Savory Spice and since I haven't been there (another review!), I made it this morning at opening time. Yes, they're open on Christmas Eve. Other than the honey, lots of spices organized by region. Grilling spices. Baking spices. Cocktail spices. Prices clearly marked and everything displayed for easy browsing. Pretty much everything you need to add flavor to whatever you're cooking. And yes, Cloister Honey! Savory Spice is on the north side of Atherton Mill, next to O-Ku. They also have free water if you aren't interested in their drinks on menu. My dad likes the same but he prefers the coconut rice. I like how they allow you to sample the items on the line and even suggest combinations that you might enjoy. I also like how they have both non spicy and spicy items. The only thing that stands out as odd to me is my sister stopped by one day and picked up an order for me. She noticed a worker or someone associated with the restaurant come in and start eating off the hot food line. Not sure if they washed their hands or not but she was alarmed by this behavior. This p/$$÷d me off. My husband and I both ordered beef. He ordered pad see ew ($17). I ordered…read moredrunken noodles ($17). The restaurant gave us BOTH mostly chicken to save on cost and there was barely any beef. See hubby's order and it is ALL chicken (WHICH SHOULDN'T EVEN BE IN THERE !) and just a couple of pieces of beef. In fact, when they brought it to the table, even the waitress thought it was chicken until the (manager?) pointed to some beef under the noodles. One: this should be on the menu as beef & chicken if they are going to do this. Two: this is deception. For this reason I took off a star from my last visit (which was 3 stars because their curry was like a soup instead of an entree - I didn't like it either.) The fried pork pot stickers ($9) were very good. Their chicken wings appetizer with Thai BBQ Sauce ($12) were very good. The Thai tea was good and served in a cute mug. We sat in a booth, which was nice. However, the table next to us had a huge hole in the seat of the material in that booth. My opinion is that the owner does not put effort into the food or the restaurant trying to save money. In my opinion, they are participating in deceptive practices by the substitution of chicken for beef dishes due to cost (see photos for evidence). The waitress was nice. I recommend going elsewhere for Thai food.

I wish I would've ordered something different than the Jhol Momo - Vegetable (Nepali dumplings in…read moresauce) because they gave me chicken instead. If ordering takeout, that's a dish that you won't be able to check until you're home and cut it open or pop the whole thing in your mouth. And that means if you're a vegetarian, you will be really disappointed because you will either not be able to eat your meal, or you will have to drive out again, meaning that you won't be able to eat with your friends and family by the time you get back. (And if they wait for you, their dishes will be cold.) My friend enjoyed their Aloo Ghobi (potato and cauliflower curry dish). The restaurant smelled fragrant with Indian spices and the staff is immediately inviting and nice! The restaurant appears clean and well-maintained. For those reasons, I'm giving them 2 Stars. However, it is a BIG mistake to switch a vegetarian dish with a meat dish, leaving one person in the group with nothing to eat, so I really cannot justify giving more than that.
