An out of the way delight! Located off Cook's Corner this superb restaurant was a wonderful surprise. It was raining so we opted to eat inside but outside seating is available. We only ordered lunch and it was delicious. Fried clam dinner with yummy fries and coleslaw and a fried shrimp basket with house made potato chips and coleslaw. The clams were plentiful as were the shrimp. Most important to note the shrimp were good sized almost like a cocktail shrimp! Our server (female) was very pleasant, personable and attentive. The beer and wine list was good and the house specialty cocktails sounded amazing! We had two raspberry ice teas! Was disappointing experience. Had heard great things about this place but didn't live up to expectations. Went early and it was a bit busy but wasn't super busy. Food took about 40 minutes to arrive, nothing fancy either. Grilled cheese overstuffed with tomatoes so couldn't taste lobster. When disassembled not much lobster. :-( Chowder meh. Mac and cheese was good. Salad meh. Service so so. Waters not kept filled but not a super big deal. Maybe give it one more shot for lunch? read more

Just moved to Bath and was hoping for some amazing fresh seafood. Maybe it was just a bad day, but we ordered some fairly expensive fried clams and they were awful. Dried out and old, pretty much inedible. The fish was alright, flavorful once you got past the chewy outer old crust. The scallops and shrimp were amazing fresh and delicious. Again, may have hit them too late in the evening and someone got lazy, but what a disappointment. read more

My husband and I visited Pepper's Landing on 5/15/19 and were disappointed. I'm leaving 3 stars food the food, which was decent, but the service receives one star from us, which is being kind. We walked in and were seated almost immediately, which isn't surprising since the place was nearly empty except for two tables. More then 15 minutes later no one had come to take our order, even though our menus were closed and laying on the table and we were just looking around at the new space. A server came and took the order from a table beside ours and when I told her we had been waiting for almost 20 minutes and that the table she was serving had come in 10 minutes after us, she said someone else was our waitress and she'd go find her. Waited another 5 minutes and someone finally came over to take our order. It took about 20 minutes to get our meal. Our drinks were never refilled and no one checked to see if we needed anything. When we were finished, the waitress showed up and dropped the check off abruptly without saying a word, then returned to take my credit card, again without a word. Wait staff needs training ASAP. The restaurant was new and clean, but there was nothing to look at except bare gray and blue walls, and no music was playing so it was like sitting in an empty shell of a room while waiting for service and food. The restaurant is new so perhaps they're just working out the kinks but we weren't wowed and likely won't return any time soon. Varied menu with lots of seafood options and prices were decent. read more

Just had dinner at Pepper's Landing. The place was quite busy but not swamped-no waiting to be seated. Service started out great. Waitress took drink orders, delivered them quickly, then took food order, and checked on us during appetizer. My hubby got his meal delivered in a paper-lined metal basket, so he asked the waitress if he could get a small plate. She said she would bring one right over, but did not. After we were 3/4 through our meal, my husband asked our waitress as she was passing by if he could get a refill on his soda. She said she would bring that right over, but did not. After we had finished our meals and sat waiting for our waitress to bring the check, another waitress going by noticed us and asked if I needed a to-go box. She brought it back immediately after I said yes. We continued to wait for the check for another 5-7 minutes. I started to tap my debit card on the table, at which time the manager came over and asked if we were ready for our check. I answered that we were, as I handed her my debit card, but that our waitress had forgotten us. She responded in a slightly annoyed tone that our waitress did not forget us. Because of the slight attitude, I responded that the waitress did, in fact, forget us. We had asked for a plate that we did not receive as well as a drink that we did not receive and had been waiting quite awhile for the check. The manager then stated with a bit more annoyance in her response that our waitress would have brought us those things had we let her know. I reiterated that we had let her know and we just want to pay our check if we could. She handed me back my debit card and said the meal was comped. I told her that the food was absolutely amazing and that I had no problem paying for our meals. She refused our payment but held strong to the opinion that waitress would have served us if we had let her know. Had the manager not blamed us for the poor service that her waitress provided, I would have kept the focus on how truly wonderful the meal was. I will definitely return with the hope that the waitress was having an off night and the manager comes down from her high horse! read more

I have been here twice and will be back. First time was a spur of moment after a busy day with more errands to run. We were very pleasantly surprised! My fish tacos were so good I got an order to take home for my husband's dinner. My mom had the steak tips- which were perfectly cooked. The portions almost guarantee a take home box. The prices also guarantee a return to try out other items. Very reasonably priced- even better value after you taste it! Glad we got to go boxes so we could share the cheese cake. I am a cheese cake snob and I'm giving this one 5/5. Was so impressed, my husband and I went for dinner last Saturday. Very happy to see the place fill up and stay full. There was live music on the patio- we had our dessert out there - very pleasant. Doesn't feel like you are in a parking lot- great use of space inside and out. The inside decor is nice- needs a picture or two on the walls, but glad they had music playing on my second visit. Overall a great new place that serves fresh, delicious food, friendly staff and a nice variety of menu items. A great and needed addition to the Brunswick area dining scene. read more

Very popular with attentive waitstaff and tasty entrees - at very reasonable prices. My wife had the mussel appetizer as her entree - which was a very generous portion. Went for the first time for lunch on Monday. Had a haddock sandwich and fried clam basket, two coast of Maine restaurant staples, in order to judge the quality. Haddock sandwich was very good, light on the batter, a good hunk of fresh fish, house made chips were very good as was cole slaw. Fried clams were a bit over cooked, looked like something you used to get at Howard Johnson's and, I thought, portion was a bit small but my wife (who knows her clams) said it was tasty. We are so happy to have Peppers in our area. The food is wonderful and the staff make you feel welcome. My favorite is fried oysters they are to die for. I cannot say enough nice things about this great new seafood restaurant! The ambiance is pleasant and trendy. It has an industrial feel to it. The seafood is absolutely fresh and prepared with a delicate hand. The fried food is lightly battered and not at all greasy. The steamed mussels are beautifully clean and flavorful. They offer several variations of lobster rolls, some with avocado, some with spicy mayo, all very original and Fun! They make their own potato chips that are crispy and crunchy. Their coleslaw is vinegar based, not mayo based, and it is tangy and delicious. They have a full bar. The wait staff is energetic and polite and friendly. The owner was there the night I was there with my husband, and he is working hard to see things are done right. Great place. Highly recommend! read more

Lobster Mac and cheese was to die for!! Came in on Father's Day so it was pretty busy so service was a little slower but the food was worth the wait. Very good service, new restaurant so there are kinks that still need to be worked out but all of the staff were very nice and trying their best to make everyone in the building happy. One recommendation that i have for the restaurant is to have the drink and dessert menu on the table, some people do not think to get dessert or drinks until they have looked through the pages. It is a lot easier to pass up a dessert or a mixed drink if you do not know what's on the menu. read more

I visited with friends on Memorial Day. Had a fabulous sweet and sour shrimp and haddock bowl. It really was enough food for two people. Loved it. I thought the whole menu was reasonably priced. We ate here for the first time a few weeks ago.We had not been "out to eat" since Nov.17,2019 We had a great waitress,Lindsey.She was professional,pleasant and attentive. However,our food was a real disappointment.My husband had the lobster mac & cheese,i had the fish sandwich on a GF roll,with fries & coleslaw.I tried my husband`s mac & cheese because he is not fussy and said it had no taste,it did not! The lobster did,but the sauce? on the pasta had no taste whatsoever!My fish was breaded,and so dry that i gave up on the roll,hoping that would make it better,it did not! The fries were fine,but really,if you cain`t cook fries,forget it! Coleslaw was bland.Other than a great waitress,and the coffee was good,we were both very disappointed with our lunch.We ate out on the deck,which was nice. read more

The first time was very good. We had fried clams, onion rings and baked haddock, very good portions. All very good except the close slaw. It was bitter and dry. Second time not so good. Food wasn't as tasty and the portions were significantly smaller and we had the same thing. Service was good but the restaurant has an unpleasant odor that comes from frying seafood. They need to do something about that. I contacted the manager about the strange discrepancy in the portions sizes and he said that wasn't possible but it was so we won't return. read more

Yesterday was my first visit to Pepper's Landing for a Mother's Day curb-side delivery because of COVID-19. From the beginning I was surprised by the way they had all the deliveries organized. The most impressive thing was the "speed" in which the nicely dressed gentleman worked as he raced from car to the restaurant. He was also very pleasant and complimentary to me despite the pressure he must have felt. The food was simply perfect! My sister & Mother shared the fisherman's platter. Everything was nice and hot, the fries were seasoned, just right and they had plenty of leftovers. I had the Lobster Caeser Salad. The lettuce was crisp and the Lobster was plentiful. Well done under difficult times. We will be returning! read more

Went back again and two of our four dinners could not be finished. Drowned in sauce and could not eat. Waitress Saturday Sept 28 a bit surly rushing us to take our order and when we were ready she said 'guess third times a charm'. Nice attitude. Lastly do not let them put you in the table by the kitchen unless you enjoy hearing some grinding machine, pots dropping and occasional loud laughter from staff as they gather there waiting. read more

There are many attributes that added to the great experience I had here! Aesthetically, the building is very open, clean and comfortable. I thoroughly enjoyed all of the food I tried. Also- the price of food is more than reasonable given the shockingly large portions. Last but certainly not least the service I received was amazing- the bartender and waitresses (Gia and Callie!) I encountered went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. Overall- this is an exciting addition to the small Brunswick area and I'm so happy to have a place to go for a meal or a quick drink. read more

I am from out of state so when I come to Maine I come for seafood. It's disappointing when the prices are so outrageous and it's right on the coast. I get cheaper seafood back home. The food was good I wouldn't say it was amazing. The service was extremely slow and it wasn't very busy. My soda was never filled we were done eating for about 10 minutes before somebody came over and even asked us for boxes or started the process for the check. It then took about 10 more minutes for us to get out of there. My husband ordered a cocktail and waited 10-15 minutes for that. Also we were told we could not sit in a booth because those were for bigger parties which is fine but an elderly couple asked for a booth and were turned away from it. To me that's rude. There were two open booths and no big parties came in. There are several places in Maine I always return to this will not be one of them. read more
