A decent sandwich experience. Grilled Pastrami is rich indulgence (almost too rich); decent stack of meat on rye w/ mustard & Swiss, buttery grilled. Corned Beef Rachel has Swiss, Thousand Island, & coleslaw. Didn't love dressing- it was more runny/tangy like French (I prefer a creamier mayonnaise version). Slaw dressing also a little off from my liking, but neither preference harmed enjoyment of the sandwich. Empanadas are large & enjoyable- stuffed pretty good w/ beef & bubbly-crisp. Onion rings decent w/ a good crunch. Both served w/ what seemed like a spicy version of the Thousand Island I just complained about LOL The atmosphere is what it is. A bit dated, loud colors, narrow space, but an eat-in experience can be had if things aren't too busy. The less than enthusiastic staff still executed decent food. Prices were reasonable. read more

Oh my gosh! I was not prepared! Ms. Pickles is a Jewish deli with a Latin vibe. Piles of corned beef home-cooked to perfection! Tots come with a fantastic nacho cheese sauce, they have assorted fridge drinks including Jarritos, Gatorade, water, etc. They have Reuben's, Rachel's, New Yorkers, and Empanadas. Not super cheap, but Totally worth Every penny! Open on Sundays-- practically the only place open in downtown Pottstown that is. Clean, fast, quaint, heavy on delicious-ness!! I don't frequent the area, but sometimes float through for work. I stopped by Ms. Pickles on one of those days, and it did not disappoint! While usually a corned beef gal, I saw a negative review about the grilled pastrami sandwich and decided I was going to have to try it for myself. Others had also raved about the empanadas, so I added them to the order, too (just in case the review about the sandwich was wrong). Boy, am I glad I gave the pastrami sandwich a go - it was perfect. By the time I got back to work with my takeout order (about a 15 min drive), it was still warm, and the bread was still perfectly crispy. The hint of mustard was just enough, and the meat was sliced super thin and piled high. I regret not taking a picture because the only current photo on Yelp does it no justice. Some may consider it to be a bit pricey for just a sandwich, but personally, I still found it to be totally worth it. It is hard to come by a GOOD pastrami sandwich these days. I had ordered 1 each of the beef and cheese and chicken and cheese empanadas. They notified me promptly that they were out of the beef and replaced it with cheese, which wound up being totally fine because the chicken was delicious, and I could only eat one anyway! Their empanadas were almost the size of the sandwich I got, so I was glad that I was sharing. Mario was SO welcoming and accommodating, even going out of his way to overcompensate for something that was completely not his fault. The other gentleman and young lady were also super helpful. I have had their sandwiches on four different occasions there and delivered. The quality is superb - approaching the best NY Deli's have to offer and better than anything in the suburbs. My wife had the Turkey Reuben and was surprised how good the turkey was. I have sent three other couples there and all have raved. I have always found the staff friendly and cooperative but note - it's a small place and at a rush hour, eating in, anticipate slower service as would occur anywhere. We had delivery on one occasion and frankly it was the best packaging I had ever seen and came warm! Given the parking difficulty, depending on the day and hour, delivery may be better. Had to try this new sandwich shop. Decided to grab an early dinner, as I don't think this place stays open late. Went in for sandwiches, but had to try an empanada while there. You get a deal if you purchase two, so figured why not. Service wasn't as quick as a fast food restaurant, nor would I expect it to be. We waited maybe 15 minutes or so after ordering before getting our food, but it was all made fresh, so no complaints. Everything tasted amazing. The empanadas were huge and were packed with meat and cheese. Tasted like I was eating a cheesesteak. Sandwich was great too. I figured I wouldn't get full from a sandwich and empanada, but I'm hurting right now from all the food. Overall friendly people working there, and the place was bright and clean. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. I look forward to stopping by while visiting the outdoor bars in this area. read more

The service was horrendous. Upon entering the place, nobody acknowledged there was a customer wanting to order except a friend of an employee who stated, I don't work here but I can take your order. After 3 unsuccessful attempts to log on to the computer, an employee came out and took my order. I stood in the pickup area for about 8 minutes and then was told, I'll bring it to you. Her family came in and apparently you can't make a sandwich and talk at the same time and my order was delayed at least 3 minutes. The corned beef was microwaved to heat it up. I didn't even have a chance to taste the food yet! I stop in twice during lunch hours, between 11:33-12:33, and each time was not helped or served. The small narrow establishment was not at all busy. Each time maybe 1 or 2 people ahead of me. The first attempt, I was not greeted and I waited at the ordering window for about 15 mins. My time is limited, so I walked out. The second attempt, because I do believe in second chances, was the same result. I came in, 2 people were ahead of me. I was greeted this time, but no one ever took my order after standing there for approximately 15 mins. I am not exaggerating. They say 3rd times a charm and I am constantly seeing rave reviews for this new place, but I am on the fence about giving them a 3rd try attempt. They wasted my precious time twice already! Tried Ms. Pickles for the first time today, ordered a Rueben and honestly I am a little disappointed. I was looking forward to a grilled sandwich iwith warm sauerkraut, not what I got. Who doesn't like a good grilled Reuben....on the grill, NOT bread in a toaster oven that is barely toasted. I will give them another try with a different sandwich that doesn't require a grill, and maybe ask for extra toasted....we will see. read more

Got a couple of corned beef sandwiches, O-Rings, tots & slaw. The sandwiches were great. Nice size, great taste. Some places the tots are soggy. Not these tots...they had near perfect crunch. Same for the O-Rings...nice & crunchy on the outside with the actual onion cooked very well. You were able to bite thru the onion instead of getting all of the onion pulled out on the first bite. The slaw was also very good. Transaction was easy too with credit card acceptance...& no surcharge (which they probably smartly built into the price). I got it to-go. But I would not have minded eating there. It was very clean and was decorated with bright colors. Since its in town, parking was on-street...with a municipal lot within 50-100 feet. The woman working there today had zero customer service skills. I ordered the last nesquick and was told, 'You can't have that'. No explanation. Seemed annoyed as soon as we walked in, but there weren't even any customers. The food is good, but bot worth the poor treatment. Won't be returning. read more

I came for the pastrami and was unfortunately disappointed. For the price they charge I had much higher expectations. Pastrami was thinly sliced and cold and the Bread was blah. However , the empanadas were delicious and would definitely go back for them. I had the beef and cheese that was cooked To order and sauce it came with perfect match . read more

A restaurant like Ms. Pickles has been needed in Pottstown for a very long time. The prices are a little high, but it is worth it. Very friendly staff and good service. It is definitely a must try. read more
