I originally booked another company but they were very slow in replying to my emails so I got a bit tired of the waiting and googled to see if theres a similar company out there. I found them so decided to give it a go. I'm so glad I did! from the email enquiry to finishing the furniture assembly, everything was so smooth they are a life saver. I recently moved to a new apartment and had no furniture so have a long list to buy from IKEA, they got everything except a chair that's out of stock at that day and I was impressed straight away. Dennis assembled all the furniture for me including a queen bed, a dresser, a mirror, a desk, a shelving unit and a night stand in just under 5 hours, he's very professional and extremely polite, was a pleasure to deal with like the other guys from the company. I got the delivery and assembly done at the same day so got an 15% off extra off the assembly too! overall I would highly recommend this company, I was a bit hesitate because they don't have many reviews here but I just went ahead and it turned out to be a great experience overall, no hassle and so much cheaper than either IKEA or the other company I was looking at. very happy customer here thank you guys! read more

I hired Perfect Assembly to help furnish my room in a shared apartment and highly recommend them! For 5 items - two twin mattresses, one daybed, a toilet paper holder, and a small shelf unit - it cost me about $150 for delivery and $190 for assembly on top of the item prices. When I expressed a concern the day before my delivery that my mattresses might not be in stock, Perfect Assembly was very accommodating and helped me come up with a backup plan that worked for me, even though we didn't end up needing it. a few things to note: - I wish I'd set it up earlier than I did! I was able to get an appointment about 5 days out from when I reached out to them, but if I'd planned earlier I could've skipped sleeping on the couch! - in my case, it would've taken longer to get my stuff just delivered by PA than it took for them to deliver and assemble it (~5 days with assembly, ~8 days for just delivery)! I'm not sure why their scheduling is set up that way, but it's something to be aware of. That's all I can come up with! Great service, fair cost. read more

Great service! They were very responsive when I called for a quote and were able to come the next day. Guy from Perfect Assembly arrived on time and was professional and courteous. He assembled some IKEA dressers for me and tweaked some other pieces I had assembled myself. I will definitely use him again in the future and would recommend him without hesitation. It was by far a much better experience using Perfect Assembly, rather than ikea's subcontractors (wish I knew it earlier)! They are reliable and effective in handling of the most complex pieces of furniture (it was a PAX wardrobe they assembled for me). Easily reachable and do not leave anything unfinished. The assembly was done very well, and they did it very efficiently. They did a good job and helped me to save so much time and energy. Two gentlemen from perfect assembly came after working hours, as I asked for, and put together a tv-stand and a sofabed in under one hour. Eugene, the guy that assembled my furniture, was VERY good. He was fast, solved problems, kept the apartment clean, built all the furniture exactly to specifications, removed/deconstructed all trash, moved all the massive cardboard boxes to the basement trash area, and even helped me open my new mattress (which wasn't a part of the Ikea order)! I also had to do a conference call in the middle of construction, and he paused to make sure he didn't make too much noise each time I had to say something. In a town of easily the worst service in the world, Perfect Assembly was surprisingly good. Arrived 15 min early to the window they said they would be at the apartment, and happily waited to come up when I was ready. Fyi, I researched about 5 Ikea delivery/assembly services in this town before choosing Perfect Assembly, and I'm glad I did. read more

Like the rest of the reviews, I can confirm that this is a good company. The staff were very polite, diligent, and their one-fee included 5 flights of stairs (walkup) at no extra charge. The lead even apologized for being late, but they were actually spot on. Appointment time was for 2:00-3:00 and they arrived 2:15. Happy to tip them considering my order was very large/heavy. I would definitely choose these guys again over the regular Ikea delivery option which was a lot less professional. HINT: If you know that your order items might be low on stock, be sure to check your email. I got a notice in the morning that one of my items wasn't available. A quick reply with instructions on how to proceed and they were off on their way. Pretty much no hitch. read more

This company is fantastic! We recently had numerous large and small items from Ikea delivered on Friday, 9/30. The delivery was exactly on time (arrived exactly at 3:30pm as scheduled). They also gave us a call upon arrival. All items on our list were delivered and nothing was damaged. We considered having Ikea deliver our items, however, Ikea's first delivery date was over a week later than Perfect Assembly. In addition, we had an unfortunate issue with our payment due to a bank oversight and the company was beyond accommodating and understanding. I do not think most companies would have been as understanding as Perfect Assembly. They turned a very stressful situation into a manageable situation. Would recommend 100% to friends. read more

I rarely post online reviews, but wanted to write one about Perfect Assembly, because my experience was so great. I wanted to furnish an office in Manhattan, but coordinating the logistics felt daunting. I decided to use Ikea furniture, and stumbled across Perfect Assembly. All I had to do was create a shopping list on Ikea.com, send a PDF of the list to PA, and they took care of the rest. They did the shopping at Ikea, delivered the furntiture to my office (Manhattan), assembled it, and cleaned up all of the empty boxes. They also provided a certificate of insurance to my building. This company is amazing for folks living in NYC who don't own a car! These guys go to Ikea and buy the goods for you, and deliver at a specific time YOU choose. All this, with no payment upfront, and with a delivery cost less than Ikea itself. It's a really simple service to use. I emailed them for a quote, and set up an appointment at a time that worked for me, all with the minimum of fuss. The delivery arrived bang on time (actually 5 minutes early!). Two gents brought up our king-size bed to our 3rd floor walk-up, took payment, petted the dog and were super-pleasant. It was an extremely smooth process dealing with these guys. From liaising with them about the list of items, getting a quote to arranging a certificate of insurance for my building management and finalizing delivery timing, it was a breeze. What was really impressive was when Tim and his colleague showed up at my apartment with all the furniture, my two year old was asleep in the next room. Both of them understood the need for quiet and stealthily shifted the furniture in. Tim then proceeded to assemble the tables, bench, shelves and sofa without waking my child, who is a light sleeper. Best assembly service in NYC!!! Their worker is professional, honest and diligent in his work! He assembled an intricate wall mounted IKEA Besta entertainment center, including background lighting, in 1 1/2 days. Came well equipped with all the necessary tools and got right to work! Excellent service. Requested delivery and assembly, and they came exactly at the appointed time and finished assembly within the time frame they said it would be completed. It was also much less expensive than another Ikea delivery and assembly service I've used before (the other place had higher delivery fee and added NYC sales tax to the delivery and assembly fee unlike Perfect Assembly, which did not tax their services). Seemed more organized too as they had a receipt ready with explanation of the itemizations. Appreciated that. Polite and professional with reasonable cost. I'm very impressed. My experience with Perfect Assembly was seamless. They responded to my emails within 30 minutes during their business hours (if not less!), and when some of the items on my shopping list were not available they contacted me immediately to ask how to proceed. They arrived right on time for the assembly appointment. The assembly man was extremely efficient, organized and helpful - he even helped me rearrange the furniture several times in the room! Just had a really great experience with Perfect Assembly. I went from quote, to adjusted quote, to delivery, in around 3 business days. Was really easy and they were good to work with. I also had them assemble a couch, bed, dresser, and night stand. They had the delivery and assembly done in about and hour and half which I think is completely reasonable. The guys were quick, efficient, and polite. Can get a bit noisy so make sure to do it within your building/landlord's allowable hours. Not the guys' fault, assembly just means tools and banging and things. Definitely recommended, I'll use them again myself! read more

I have a studio in NYC, and when I needed new furniture, I went to Ikea instead of spending hundreds. They had a great selection of bedroom items and I found everything I needed quickly. I contacted this company about picking up the items since I didn't have a vehicle. Initially I was going to assemble them myself, but this business gave me a great quote for the pickup and assembly, so I ended up doing that. I'm so glad I did. This site is a one-stop shop for everything Ikea! I sent them my shopping list through their online form, and sat back and watched as they did the rest. This experience was much different than the first time I bought from Ikea. Going to their store, carrying the heavy boxes, and trying to set up the furniture by yourself is a nightmare. This company offers affordable rates to do all that for you. They accept credit cards too, which is a plus. Their assembly is top notch and they work very quickly. These guys were AMAZING! Communication was extremely prompt and thorough and they showed up when they said they would and finished the job ahead of schedule. I only requested the quote on Saturday and today (Tuesday) I have all the furniture pieces delivered and assembled already! They packed up all the packaging material and took all the garbage, so I'm only left with a beautifully furnished room. Even though I`m a man and am supposed to love "building things", I absolutely hate the time it takes to assemble furniture. When my girlfriend wanted to redecorate our bedroom, we shopped together on Ikea, and then I contacted this company about pickup and assembly. They were great.
