Do not go here, THEY ARE RACIST! I've been going to this place for about 3 years now and I just now finally accepted that they're racist. At first they appear to be very friendly and professional so that you come back which I did. However, I noticed that they started to treat me different because one I never really gave tip and two because I'm a Latina women. I became a regular and I noticed that every time I would go in they would not acknowledge me or even respond to my greetings (They have seen my face multiple times, in a consistent matter) even when they are not attending a customer. BUT, whenever they see a non person of color (Hispanic and/or Black) all of the sudden they're happy, remember how to give eye contact and what a smile is. During my service, they tend to rush and do exactly the opposite of what you asked for even if you show them a picture (I feel like they purposely do this) When they ask you to hold your eyelid they say it with an attitude like they're forced to do it even though you're paying for it. BUT, to the rest they happen to know how to take their time and actually interact with their clients. I wouldn't be taking the time to write this if I wasn't sure about my statements. Ive watched other women of color get services done by the staff and I noticed that it wasn't just me who was being treated like that. Also, I would walk into the salon 15-20 minutes before closing to a white lady BY HERSELF WITH NO STAFF WATCHING OVER HER but when I'm the last customer all of the sudden the staff wants to make sure they're supervising their little business. When you ask to use the bathroom, they wait for you near the bathroom and watch you until you leave the store completely. Did not like this place at all. This place is as cheap as its price. Don't do waxing here. Horrible at it. The lady that did it for me ripped my skin and left so many stray hairs that could have easily been waxed off. As for threading, they are okay at it. The worst part was their service. I felt like they were trying to rush me out.. The lady began by trimming my eyebrow and then she put the scissor on my chest with the sharp point facing my neck! When I told her to not put it there, she rolled her eyes! I'm never going back there again. It's a small place and they get through customers quickly which is nice. However, the person that did my eyebrows pushed the thread so hard that she actually ripped out some skin and caused abrasions above and below my right eyebrow. Also, my eyebrows are uneven. They made one of my eyebrows noticeably thinner than the other. I really wanted to like this place since it is so close to home and is cheap but I've come here twice and they were rude to me both times and each time they did it so hard that it damaged my skin. read more

I have been going to this small shop for years to get my eyebrows threaded. It is definitely a hole in the wall. However, I am very particular about my brows and I have never had any real complaints. They do sometimes miss some hairs. This really doesn't bother me because I come here for the perfect shape. I like that I can come to a place where I know my brows are in good hands. read more

I bought a livingsocial deal for full leg waxing for Perfect Brows and chose this out of a number of their other locations due to its easy 6 train access (right across the street!). Any way, the place is tiny, so the room they use for waxing is tiny as well. The lady got right down to business, and finished the job in no more than 20 minutes. As far a sanitary conditions, roll-on wax was used (don't know if they're reused), and although the bed has a disposable paper covering, the towels lining the bed underneath did have some wax stains. Didn't bother me, as the paper covered enough. The place otherwise seemed really clean. Haven't done eyebrow threading here (or ever), but will definitely revisit the place for that. read more

Tried out this place since it is close to my apartment.The price is affordable and the work is quick, eyebrows shape was well done. Those are the only good things I can say. The waxing room is very cramped, hardly any place to change clothes, and I'm a small person. Staff is grumpy and borderline unprofessional. The lady was very rough while waxing the inner side of my arm, and when it developed a red area almost immediately, she said "Oh, that always happens with the left hand for all my customers". She didn't seem to care that she was hurting me, I had to tell her twice to do it slower. Three days later, I have little bumps everywhere, especially on my upper lip area. If you can afford UniK they are far less traumatic and more professional. Only reason I'm giving two stars is the cheap price and convenient location. read more

First of all i came in around 9:45 one of the Indian women were doing eyebrows so i had to wait... 9:55 comes and she finally takes me, just to tell me she starts doing eyelashes at 10am!!!! Really? I bought a voucher on Living Social for a Brazilian and full leg wax at any of their 8 locations. I chose the 96th street location. I stepped out of the train and got one look at this place from the outside, and I immediately thought, "Oh no, a nasty whole in the wall. I should have expected this for such a great price on a Brazilian." I should have turned back then. But no, I went inside only to confirm my suspicion, and they lead me into their 3 by 5 foot room. They had the paper rolled out on top of dirty towels covered in wax stains, which covered a small bed pushed up against a wall. There was no room for me to change out of my clothes, let alone for the girl to do the job. The girl asked me if I wanted all of the hair removed. She seemed confused when I told her I wanted a diamond shape left. She got right to work with her bare hands (no gloves???), and used the materials that were stashed in the corner of the room. I tried not to think about the uncleanliness of it all. It at least seemed like she had done this before, but that was before she got into the very intimate area. While I laid there enduring the pain of each pull, I looked at the tacky walls, painted in pink, and bubbld from some kind of leak. There was this black and white check wall paper (actually it was more like contact paper) that was slapped up there carelessly, with more bubbles behind that. What a lovely view for the ensuing excruciating experience. She was using some kind of thick chocolate wax for the bikin area, and I assumed she would use the special peel off wax for the very sensitive vaginal area. But no, she just kept going with the strips and the pulls and then suddenly I felt a rip. And that's just what it was. My inner labia ripped open. I told her that something was wrong, and I asked her how bad it was. She said there was just a little blood as she doused the gaping wound with baby powder. She covered it up and continued on as if nothing had happened. I tried to look and see but she brushed my hand away and told me it was fine. read more

Do not go here. I left with a terrible burn on my face from wax. First of all the place is quite unsanitary. They do not sterizile the scissors they use to trim the brown or the tweezers. I now have a horrible scar on my face. As she was waxing I told her the wax was too hot, but she did not listen. There are two woman who are always there. Once younger one who claims her Uncle is the owner and another one with a hooped nose ring. They both are nice, but do not listen to the customers. There are a few other threading salons in the area. i went last week to get my eyebrows threaded and dyed a little darker, and they look AWESOME. she did a really nice job shaping them and the dye is perfect. i just moved from SF where i would regularly pay $25 for eyebrow shaping and $30 for the tinting, and i got both done better for $22 here. the ladies were really nice and work quickly. read more

This is a no-frills place with 3 chairs. I was in and out in 5 minutes and the lady did a nice job. She was also very polite with a soft voice. She just cleaned my eyebrows, kept them thick and enhanced the arch that I was beginning to lose. read more

I have just started to go to this location for my brows and decided to stick with them now on just because of lovely staff Bini. Bini does such a wonderful job with my eyebrows, and she does perfectly what I ask for. She has such a smooth way of doing where I don't feel any pain.
