Not everybody has the balls to name their business "perfect" but in this donut shop's case, they are pretty close. It's one of several, not-related, donut shops going by "Perfect" and offers a lot more than just donuts. But let's talk about their donuts, simple, fresh, not greasy and almost always delicious. No designer donuts here, just simple donuts and croissants that seldom fail to please. And there's so much more here, sandwiches, Boba drinks (if you're into that sort of thing) and a whole host of other beverages that makes Perfect Donuts really more of a small restaurant. I can only take credit for the donuts, I have yet to eat anything else from here, but if the rest of their fare is as good as their donuts, maybe it's time I did. Perfect Donuts is in what some might call a transitional neighbourhood, you have to take the good with the bad sometimes. Visil, the donutender extraordinaire, explained to me that he doesn't worry if some kids come in and steal his tip jar, it's "just that kind of a neighbourhood sometimes." That kind of shop karma combined with the quality of their product really helps them live up to the hubris of their name. They may not be absolutely perfect, but they're doing a great job in the location they are in. Highly recommended. read more

I really like this place. I came here a while back to grab a dozen donuts for a client meeting and I have been a fan since. Its a small shop but they have everything you need. All they donuts and croissants are super fresh. However, the real reason for my review are the CRONUTS!!! Holly molly donut shop are they GOOOOD. I am so upset I like them so much. Now I have to run twice (maybe even three times as hard) :( lol. But seriously great Cronuts. They don't have a huge selection, but who cares they HAVE them!! They have a cinnamon one, a chocolate drizzle one, and a chocolate drizzle covered in bacon bits!. Oi. I have had the cinnamon and chocolate drizzle and they were amazing. I preferred the chocolate one and so did my husband but the cinnamon one was good too. Also, their apple fritters are super yummy. I always grab a couple of pastries for my office on Fridays and everyone in my office always asks me where I get them from. Super yummy. Also, the girl who is usually behind the checkout is super sweet. She is so bubbly and happy. I really like this place because their donuts are fresh, they have Cronuts, and everyone is just so happy and jolly. Have not had a bad experience yet. Be careful tho- the sign doesn't say "Perfect Donuts." It says "Cafe Donuts." Also, there is parking right in front of it. One thing I kind of don't like but I get, is that they charge you a 1.50 cc charge if you purchase anything under $15. Otherwise totally happy with this place. This place is fantastic. I picked up 2 dozen donuts recently, and they are one of the few places that take credit cards. The fine print is that you need to have a minimum purchase of $15. The young gal helping me out was super friendly and was clearing familiar with a lot of her regulars. I also saw that they have their own version of the 'oh so elusive' cronut. I mean, I didn't literally SEE them, but I saw that they had a card indicating that they had them in stock at some point in the morning. Logic tells me that they're probably good enough to sell out before 8am. Now, I love me a good maple bar. This place had a REALLY REALLY good maple bar. Nice and deliciously soft on the inside, sweet, maple goodness on top that melts in your mouth. My only gripe about this place is the tininess of their parking lot. They're located on a pretty busy street corner, so getting out of this place can take some time. read more

My favorite donuts were the maple old fashioned and the cinnamon sugar. The reason I only gave this place 4 stars is because they were a bit overpriced for donuts. This is it. The hidden gem you've literally overlooked maybe bc of the tiny strip mall it's hidden in. But don't be fooled into thinking anything other than the perfection this family has mastered at making their doughnuts. Good Donuts....But I have been going here for years....and love this place Monday thru Thursday. But recently on Friday's there is a young woman there who has no idea to the concept of customer service. I usually come in to find her putting on makeup and ignoring me until I am standing there waiting to pay for my coffee. She plays music from her phone and last week upon asking if the pot of coffee on the brewer was ready she told me no and waited until I was walking out the door to pour it into the serving pot. Walked in and clearly made eye contact with the young lady behind the counter who aside from this made no effort to acknowledge me and carried on a conversation. When I asked for one she rudely says, " Oh you took the card out too soon. You didn't finish the process." Actually no... I love this place! My bf frequents this shop whenever he's doing his laundry. They've been around a long time and are super nice. If you plan to eat your donuts quickly, I highly recommend getting the cronut with whipped cream! The cronuts here are more crispy, similar to brioughnuts at Confexions rather than "donut" donuts like at Kettle Glazed - so it depends what you prefer! Also the cronuts here are fairly inexpensive! There is a credit card minimum of $15 (otherwise they add at $.75 charge). The only complaint is that the opening hours seem to be unclear, as this is a mom and pop joint. I was surprised to see the lack of selection of doughnuts at 7:30 am. They didn't have the "regular" one's like chocolate bar, maple bar..etc. I took the last of a few ones so I hope people after me didn't want too many cause they didn't have much.
