Perfect Moving was an excellent service for my move. They were extremely responsive in the months leading up to the move, their team was on time and took extreme care with my belongings, and were very efficient. They packed my belongings, loaded the truck, and dropped everything off at my new apartment within 3 hours total. Plus, they disassembled by bed, couch, and other furniture and reassembled it all at the new location. They were also super friendly and respectful. I'd recommend them to anyone moving in the city! My only note was that the rate was a bit high for the scale of my move, which was rather small. I did have to reschedule the date several times, and the rate increased each time I did which was unfortunate, but I was understanding that some days are busier than others and they have a minimum to hit during the summer months. Perfect Moving caused over $6,000 in property damage during my move due to clear and documented negligence. The damage was not "minor wear and tear" or a "misunderstanding," but severe enough to require professional repair. I have photos and invoices to prove it. When confronted, the company immediately fell back on the claim that their insurance "doesn't cover damage inside apartments." That excuse is not only irrelevant but also absurd. By that logic, their employees could have caused unlimited damage to my apartment without responsibility. Insurance exclusions also do not erase responsibility. A business is accountable for the harm caused by its employees -- period. Attempting to dodge liability through fine print only makes matters worse. Based on the owner's replies to other reviews, I fully expect them to post a defensive response here as well -- perhaps suggesting that I am "misrepresenting facts," or that this was a "communication issue." Let me be clear: there is no miscommunication when over $6,000 in damage is left behind. The facts are simple: their movers caused it, they admitted insurance wouldn't cover it, and then they refused to take responsibility. Looking at other reviews, it's obvious this is a pattern. Every time something goes wrong, the company blames customers, downplays the situation, or hides behind insurance loopholes. That is not professionalism -- it's avoidance. They seamlessly handled the logistics of a challenging move, with a slow elevator on one end and a narrow staircase on the other, so that the whole process was fast and efficient. I used Perfect Moving for a recent move between two apartments in the same borough. I chose them because they were the most inexpensive option. They were very flexible which I appreciated since I kept adding items to my quote and also switched the date. My movers were quick and experienced. Two things that did bother me a little bit: 1. One of the movers asked to use the bathroom- which was not a concern at all. After he used the bathroom, he didn't leave the toilet seat down which was the original state of the bathroom. 2. After the job was complete, the mover will have you call with someone from the office and have them tell you how the service was. My service was great but I just felt like it was a lot of pressure. read more

We've used Perfect a handful of times - to move out of a house, to move some of the household into storage, some to another location. Thereafter, we've moved stuff out of storage to two locations. The moves themselves were timely and the people involved very helpful. A TV broke during one of the moves, and Perfect gave me a certain amount towards it that they did not have to, as I didn't buy separate insurance. That was thoughtful. There was miscommunication during one of the moves, where the moving team told us that we needed to pay more for part of the service than we had originally agreed, but it was cleared up after some tense back & forth. We ended up paying the cap on the estimate previously provided. I guess the lesson is to make sure every part of the conversation you have should be fully documented on the order form, to avoid this siutation. They packaged items that I had forgotten about, and came at the beginning of their agreed upon window of time. They even navigated a highly unpredictable situation in which the police closed access to my delivery address. To top it off, their prices were among the best. DOS: 03/04/2025 11PM Perfect Moving NYC broke my thirteen thousand dollar treadmill by dragging it on its side without dolly multiple times (evidenced by video). Tread no longer rotates. They also did not complete the move. They did not bring sufficient strong men to lift the 400 pound treadmill up the storage unit ladder and therefore abandoned my treadmill it in the public hallway adjacent to storage unit and went home. The size of my storage unit was 4x8 feet and was sufficient to fit the aforementioned treadmill. They did not bring the proper tools to reassemble the treadmill after damaging it. I always had a stigma around movers, aka that they were expensive and not worth it. If you don't have too much stuff anyway why not just rent a car and pack it up yourself? Well after this experience, I can confidently say that you should hire movers, especially Perfect Moving. I will say that they arrived half an hour late after the end of my session when on the phone they mentioned that they would come in the beginning so that was a bit frustrating. Other than that, I have nothing to say but positives. Here's the best parts of the experience: - I didn't have to deal with any of the parking as I was a bit worried at first since being a big truck in NYC is not it. - The 2 movers wrapped up my entire house in less than 30 minutes and unloaded everything in 20 minutes. It was incredibly efficient and all I did was sit there and watch them. - I feel like their attention to detail is amazing. I had a bag where I just had a bunch of kitchen foods and when they dropped off my stuff, they actually placed that bag in the kitchen which is above and beyond what I had expected. - It was incredibly affordable... let's just say my total was less than $300 which went above and beyond my expectations. Perfect Moving is PERFECT. Total transparency - I have never used movers before and for the longest time all I would pack up was a suitcase and throw everything into bags and be on my way to the next spot. Well after 7 years, getting married and alllll the wedding gifts, furniture etc. I looked at my space and thought heck no am I moving this myself. We were also in a 3 flight walk up with unusually steep stairs and we had moved up there so no way were we moving back down. I checked around - IE chatted with Perfect Moving as well as another 'cake' like spot and Perfect Moving gave me the best price so I put the deposit in and was ready to go. Brad was great about adding the random items I would find in the back closet to the list and ensuring everything was according to plan. Let me tell you the night before I was SO anxious. I was worried that we had too many things that the price was too good to be true that something was going to happen that my boxes were too big or too heavy or they would arrive late and throw off the day (we had a LOT to do). My Mind went WILD (againn never used movers before so had no idea what to expect). The morning of I woke up early to wrap up the last few things and got a text from Rolando saying Good Morning we'll be there in an hour. This was at 6:52 AM and they were due between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Instantly, I was feeling a sense of relief! They were on time thank goodness!! They came in, took a look around and got to WOOOORK. Let me tell you I have never seen anyone move the way they do. Within about 30 minutes more than half of the boxes were gone and in the truck. All the random items were picked up and added. My mind was at complete ease. They started wrapping up the VIP items - I have never seen such tape artistry - it was incredibly impressive. Another thing I was worried about was our couch and our bed frame. They made it look like taking apart the couch was as easy as a walk in the park and then they tossed it around, wrapped it up and it was gone just like that. Same thing with the bed, and bed frame. Just Poof! Into the truck! The whole move out of the apartment took less then 2 hours. I couldn't believe it! Needless to say, my husband and I were both SO impressed and SO thankful for how incredibly easy they made this big life changing move for us. Additionally, my mother in law met them at our new house on Long Island and she told them where things go and this n that. But, it absolutely is the right word choice in the case of Perfect Moving because our move from Queens to Manhattan was absolutely perfect and flawless on every possible level. I have very high expectations of people and places. And I did not expect our move to go as smoothly or incredibly well as it did. Honestly, I was a little apprehensive and nervous going into the morning of our move, despite taking weeks to choose a moving company, and really researching them. I even started analyzing all the top reviews on the Yelp pages of all the movers I was considering. What ultimately pushed me to choose Perfect Moving was the number of "elite" member Yelp reviews, as well as the number of reviews of Yelpers with substantial reviews and photos on their page. A few standout points: 1) Their rates and quote was more than reasonable and fair, especially compared to others. Very competitive. 2) Their rates are for the full job, not by the hour. 3) They were very (VERY) easy to communicate with, fast to respond to questions and continually in touch going into the move. In fact a day or two before, they reached out to not only confirm but to go over what to expect, to review all the items I said I was moving in case there were changes (and thus save us from any unexpected or costly day of added costs) and to see if I had any questions. 4) There was a genuine and honest desire to provide the best, stress-free (or as stress free as any move can be) and easy move as possible. 5) They followed all the COVID protocols to ensure a safe move. On the day of the move, the team leader of the Perfect Moving crew on our move was Rush. He called ahead to let us know they were on their way. They arrived on time (actually a few minutes early). What was awesome was that from the minute we met Rush, he was so calming and polite and really put us at ease within minutes of arriving. I knew right then and there that our move was in good (and safe) and capable hands. Rush and his crew were very careful with all of our boxes and items. And regularly he checked in with us to make sure we were happy and comfortable with what they were doing. Clearly, customer service, care and attention were the top priority. They wrapped all of our furniture, paintings, mirrors and bedding protectively, so that nothing risked getting damaged. They took their time to do it right. Despite his name, Rush never rushed the job. They did what they needed to do to ensure that all of our belonging arrived safe and sound. When they arrived at our new building we were stuck in traffic. Rather than start yelling at us or getting annoyed, they were very understandable and didn't charge us extra. And we finally did arrive, they were fast and efficient and moved us in so effortlessly and flawlessly. I can't believe I'm saying this, but there wasn't a single error. Nothing broke. Nothing was scratched. There were no marks on the wall. Everything arrived in the condition it was packed. Rush and his team put everything exactly where we wanted. Again, Rush and his crew of two continually checked in with us to make sure we were at ease and happy with the way they were doing things. And when the job was over, Rush checked in a few days later to see how we did. BTW, there were NO extra or hidden charges. What they quoted us is what they charged us, not a dollar more. I can't say enough amazing things about Perfect Moving Company. This is my 2nd time I used them (3rd if you count my boyfriend), and everything went flawlessly. John Caricic helped me coordinate the move and was extremely responsive via email. Dzensis and his crew of men were extraordinary. They were punctual and fast beyond words. I mean they have this down to a science, and it felt like an assembly line where there was always someone packing things up while the other men were running the boxes down so there was no downtime. All of my stuff was protected and nothing was damaged. I also recommend them to other people irl. They are that good. Just be aware of the time range for your appointment. If your time range is, for example 10 am to 2 pm, that means they might show up at 2pm to start the move. So keep that in mind.
