I went for mani and pedi today. Its better and relaxing experience here. I almost dread going to nail salons when the technicians talk in their language always giggling, rude or talking loud. But this salon is relaxing Nikki and Vivian are amazing. Respectful, kind and provided me a relaxing experience. I prefer them next time. also I asked for cuticle oil recommendations and owner kindly gave me a small bottle. Overall amazing experience read more

It's disappointing that every time I come here, I get cut -- this is the second time I came to this salon because it's conveniently close to my house. However, the technician cut me so much she had to place a powder on me to stop the bleeding. As you can tell, the nail polish application was also streaky and uneven as well. It's unfortunate because some of the technicians seem really nice but given this is the second time this happened, I've just accepted I need to find another place read more

Was able to get an appointment same day around 6PM here on a weekday which I really appreciated. The parking lot is fairly small and they shared a building with an another store, but you don't really tell as they're both separated. The staff was really warm and welcoming when I walked in and the lady who did my nails was very friendly and kind. She suggested that I get the cat eye for my nails after asking for chrome, which ended up looking really pretty in the first time I've tried this design. I would say a few of my cuticles felt a little raw. So next time I would just ask them to be a little bit gentler but overall I think pricing was fair. The location was clean and I'm really big about the experience so it was nice to chat while getting my nails done. read more

I decided to try out this nail salon for a change of pace, and I'm happy I did. It's a small shop that shares space with a watch repair store (which is great too). I didn't have an appointment, but they happily accommodated me. They sat me in a soothing massage chair and offered me a beverage and some candy. Helen approached with a welcoming smile, introduced herself, and began work on my glorious pedicure experience. From the sugar scrub to the hot stone leg massage, richly scented moisturizing cream, paraffin wax (my fave part), to the expertly executed polish, this pedicure was a pampering treat. Helen did an excellent job and was so sweet. Bonus: they have free WiFi and free parking (although only a limited amount of spaces so street parking would be the alternative). I found it to be clean and well-run. I'm so happy I tried this nail salon, and I'll definitely be back. read more

Had a great experience here. I got a full set with builder gel and a design by Helen, with Ann helping bring the design together. Both had great attention to detail and very steady hands. I also had a gel pedicure with callus removal by Tina, which was excellent. This was my first visit and the salon was very clean and comfortable. I appreciated the small touches, like a stand for my phone while they worked, being greeted with coffee from a custom machine where you can choose your drink, and they even offered me a complimentary cuticle oil at the end. There's also a huge selection of colors to choose from on the wall. I'll definitely be back. The pricing was very reasonable. read more

Found this place on Yelp while I was working in the area and decided to give it a try. I can absolutely see why they have such great reviews. The nail techs are very nice and friendly. The nail salon is really clean and orderly. I got a gel mani and gel pedi there yesterday and I'm really happy with how both services went. The lady that did my nails shaped and painted them perfectly. The lady that did my toes did an amazing job too. Their prices are reasonable and their work is immaculate. What a lovely place. I've been on the hunt for a nail salon that is a pleasant experience for what seems like years. Goose chase all over the bay area. I'm definitely hard to please. I'm aware. Anyways I like that it's a one stop shop. I had all my services done here and it was great. I had my lashes done first then came out for a pedicure and gel manicure. Anne who did my manicure was very talented in nail art. I would return here! The ladies were very nice and they work hard. They gave me little gifts and tea. Great service, beautiful salon. They also have a table you can put across your lap during your nail service. I like touches like that so I can put my phone or computer there. Prices were reasonable so I left a good tip. From the moment I arrived I was greeted with a smile. I initially wanted both a manicure and pedicure but didn't think I'd have time for both. When they asked if I wanted both services I was surprised to hear they could do both simultaneously. The ladies were in for some work unfortunately since I had not been taking care of my feet and hands are pretty dry. They did an incredible job at getting everything turned from ashes to beautiful hands and feet. I chose the #5 for pedicure because I love parrafin. The leg massage was fantastic. I went with #2 for manicure which also had parrafin. Today's beauty treatments were a reward for me that I thoroughly soaked in the entire time I was being served. Very good experience! read more

My first impression was that the shop is very clean and organized. I like that all the floors and chairs are white so you could see dirt or stains. I came in on a Tuesday afternoon so it was pretty much empty. I had requested a mani/pedi and since they weren't busy I had 2 ladies working on my nails. I noticed that the woman working on my hands was moving quite quickly and 2 days later her lack of attention to detail showed. I got gel and a few of my nails are already peeling, barely 2 days later!!! Idk why she rushed because they're weren't busy at all. But I'm pretty disappointed as I don't get my nails done often so to treat myself and have it be terrible quality is frustrating. My lady who worked on my feet did a much better job. Her name was Kathy. She was super sweet and definitely took her time. I only got regular polish on my toes and that's lasting longer than the gel. read more

This building appears to be a family combo business with the men running a watch repair shop on the left side and the women running a nail salon on the right. It's a combined entrance. I was wowed the moment I walked in by how immaculate and organized the place is -- both sides. Very tight ship they're running, impressive. I initially came here to see if I could get a replacement pin for an Apple watch band. The young man was super helpful, and gave me a pin free of charge! Because of that positive experience, I came back the next week for a pedicure. No wait on a Saturday afternoon. The nail salon's one of the cleanest and most well maintained I've seen. Elegant, uncluttered, very relaxing. Tina did my pedicure -- she's a thorough professional, very efficient and fast, while still staying gentle. They offered water and coffee. The building is a little tucked back there, I'd never have gone there for nails if I hadn't gone for the watch. Glad I did though. Highly recommend. Will definitely return!! read more

This has been a delayed review that I meant to post. After my initial bad experience and review, the manager had kindly offered me another regular manicure free of charge. My second experience went quite well; the lady who did my manicure was friendly and took her time with the nails as well as ensure some time at the end for it to dry. The end results turned out well and was not messy like the first. The color also lasted a bit longer compared to my first experience. I came in at noon during the weekday, so there was no wait. Came back for new nails. Bella was sick, so Wendy did my mani and Helen did my pedi. They were both so sweet and helped me pick out the colors. They just got cat eye gel paints and pictured is one of the pinkish-brown hues. Loved how they turned out! I've been to Perfect Nail & Spa a few times- I actually drive from Santa Cruz for the pedicure services. Definitely recommend due to the cleanliness and attentiveness. I had scheduled my partner and I to come for our pedi services, that time I also booked acrylic nail service (consulted with the gal that is usually at check out). They recommended I do the dip nail, so that's what I asked for. Specifically I wanted the Hailey Bieber nails. The said they could do it on the dip nail, but that it was $45 for the dip and $25 for the chrome effect. Because of the events I was getting ready for I accepted. I was disappointed with the outcome since the chrome effect did not last more than a few hours. I'm not sure if I did something wrong. The team only used a clear/glittery dip powder in my nails. When I was asking for the chrome I was told that it was the style I wanted (which it wasn't). I ended up just paying for it because I didn't feel understood, even with a reference photo. I will say, I've kept the nails for now 3 weeks and there is no lifting or sign of them coming off. That is huge! I think it speaks to the quality. That day I paid for $195 for my nails, one gel pedicure, and another reg polish pedicure. I'm bummed since I was enjoying being at a nail salon where it was clean. I am going to try this salon again in the future since I think there was a misunderstanding. read more

I came in for a regular pedicure ($35 / $30 cash) with a gel polish add on ($15). My technician Tina also recommended a callus scrub too (I think it was an extra $15?) so I went ahead and did that as well since my heels were looking a tad rough from all the running I have been doing lately. Tina was really sweet and informed me of every little thing she was doing so I felt really comfortable and relaxed. She was extremely meticulous about the shaping and I truly appreciated that a lot. The salon is cute and spacious with LED lights on the walls. When you walk in, you'll see a table of refreshments such a tea, coffee, and water. I believe the owner(?) was also walking around offering all the customers beverages (water or sparkling water) and hi chew candy. I've found my nail home at Perfect Nails in San Jose! This was my second visit, and I plan on making it my regular spot. From the moment I walked in, the manager, Linh, was incredibly welcoming and efficient. She got me checked in and paired with a nail tech right away, which I really appreciate when I'm on a schedule. I was so happy to see that I got Anne again! She is an absolute artist. Anne is incredibly detailed-oriented and takes her time to make sure every nail is perfect. She doesn't rush through the process, and you can really tell she takes pride in her work. I've gotten so many compliments on my nails both times I've seen her. The shop is very clean, and the ambiance is peaceful. Anne did my pedicure & Lori did my manicure. Both did phenomenal! The massage was amazing. Neither of them rushed. Nikki was really nice and attentive, she's skilled and knows what she's doing. I felt comfortable letting her know what I didn't like throughout the service. I told them it was my birthday this upcoming week, and they sent me home with a small gift(cuticle oil). I was here with my friend and although mine came out nice, hers not so much, but the salon owner asked her to come back and re do it. She loved the outcome. This is my second time here and the service is always incredible. Today I got a set and a deluxe pedicure. Helen gives the best massages and my feet are baby soft. Helen also does brows and she's great at that too. Kathy did an amazing job on my nails and is a very creative nail tech. This will now be my regular nail spot. My friends and I had reservations to get mani pedis done at the same time with different technicians. When we walked in, the owner/manager greeted us rudely and asked if we had any reservations (as no one was available). We in fact did have reservations so they all sat us down. One person began on their pedicure first, finished & went to do their manicure before myself and my other friend even got started on. The owner began working on my friend's pedicure while I waited. I waited about an hour before someone began working on me. It was then obvious that they were rushing on me as two regulars came in for their appointment. They finished my manicure and pedicure at the same time as my friend who was only getting a pedicure. My first friend finished long before we were done. However, her job was also rushed & she ended up getting everything redone the following week somewhere else. I'm not sure what went wrong here. Did they take in walk-ins without realizing they had appointments? I'm not sure. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be back. read more

This was my first time at Perfect Nail & Spa, so naturally I went in a little nervous, but I had a wonderful experience getting my nails done by Niki! She knew exactly what I wanted, and even made suggestions to make my nails even better. She was very gracious and welcoming of any adjustments or tweaks I asked for, and made me feel comfortable speaking up about exactly how I wanted my nails. We had a great conversation during the appointment, so I enjoyed the process, and I also left really happy and satisfied with my nails! They're perfect for the winter holidays and so cute! As for the salon itself, it's very clean, smells amazing, has super relaxing music in the background, and all the staff are very friendly. I noticed many sweet interactions between other nail artists and their regulars. Before we left, the owner himself even offered us drinks from the complimentary coffee and tea bar! Came to only getting acrylic nails removed and it was the worst ever. instead of doing soak offs they literally filled them off with the nail drill and left my nails so thin. You can see how the middle nail is the only nail that wasn't filled so thin. You can see how thin they are by the thumb being cracked, i had to trim because the crack kept spreading from my nails bending when doing regular activities. read more

She was very very quick, whole process only taking 10 minutes, and she's a lot more affordable than other places but it was so so painful. I had major bruising like other people have commented, and a burning sensation long after the appointment.

This time, I didn't realize I had been assigned to Emillee again. During the waxing, I repeatedly asked her to be gentler because the pain was unbearable, but she continued anyway. The experience was extremely painful, and afterward my skin developed blisters. I've had waxing done many times before, including by other staff at this location, and I've never experienced anything like this. Throughout the appointment, she repeatedly commented that I had darker skin and darker hair. Those comments made me feel very uncomfortable and singled out. I also noticed her adding something to the wax during the appointment, although I wasn't told what it was. In addition, wax was spilled on both the floor and the table, making the entire appointment feel disorganized and unprofessional. During the service, I told her how much pain I was in and warned that I would consider taking legal action if my skin was injured because I felt my concerns were being ignored. Despite that, the service continued without any noticeable adjustment. Overall, this was one of the worst waxing experiences I've ever had. Based on my experience, I would not book with Emillee again.

A few minutes into the wax, she begins to ask me how often I exfoliate. From there, she goes on to say that I don't exfoliate enough, how important exfoliation is, and how she can tell that I don't exfoliate enough (I guess from my hair, idk). She then asks what products I use and how often I use them. I forgot the name of the exfoliant I use in the shower and when stating that, Marianahi just laughs. The comments about exfoliation continued for half of my waxing time. It was extremely repetitive and honestly left me feeling odd. I didn't know what to say after a certain point of her continuing to talk about how important exfoliation is. Aside from that, she stated that she could not get all of the hairs on my legs due to lack of exfoliation. I wasn't aware of how much hair was remaining that she couldn't get as I couldn't see my legs, but she continuously stated that my lack of exfoliating was the reason she could not take out all of my hairs. It wasn't until I went home that I noticed a majority of my hair still there, and I found it hard to believe that not exfoliating as much as Marianahi prefers is why my legs still have most of the hair still on it. I had to shave my legs and felt like I wasted so much money on my wax. In addition to this experience, when I checked out, the lady at the front desk was really trying to sell me on a wax package stating that I would save a lot of money and get a few free waxes. Even after I stated no several times, she still continued to try to sell me on the packages, to which I still said no. When she finally was able to accept that I wasn't interested, she wanted to rebook my next appointment to which I stated I only wanted to rebook for 1 service since my hair doesn't grow back that often in other places. She seemed as though she didn't understand what I was saying and was in disbelief. All in all, I'm not sure if this is a universal experience at European Wax or just this location, but I absolutely will not be back. I might go to another location one day, but I'm skeptical of even doing that from my experience here.

They are always very friendly and accommodating for a walk-in appointment. The salon is hygienic and clean. They also have a very nice selection of gel polish colors, especially cateye colors. I recently had an ingrown toenail (my first ever in 33 years) after my latest visit but the owner was quick to help communicate this with the nail tech doing my pedicure so it doesn't happen again. This made me feel very understood and respected as a regular customer here. The owner also tries to remember the regulars at the salon and always offer a warm welcoming, which is very nice of her. They offer a discount for cash payments, but also accept Venmo (even for tips) while credit card has a small charge. I think their prices are very reasonable and definitely cheaper than the last salon I went to before switching to Pedi Nail Lounge. There is a large shared parking lot in front so plenty of parking nearby.
