First off, the food was great. My wife and I had the tender bowl, hers with saffron rice, mine with brown rice. Her chicken was seasoned with the flavorful flame mine with the Caribbean jerk crush. The flavor was great, the portions we adequate, and my wife loved the flame dip. Since it was our first time, the person behind the counter was considerate and helpful. I had questions about whether the sauces had gluten or dairy, and if they didn't know the answer, they found the answer. They even inquired once we were done on how we enjoyed our meal and we were able to share that with them which means they were not afraid to receive feedback which is always something you want a restaurant to do. The ambience was just ok. I feel like the restaurant is trying to be a higher and fast casual, but didn't quite pull it off. The bowls, the glasses, and the silverware were all nice and not plastic but the feel of the restaurant didn't quite match the food. With that said, please don't let that keep you from trying this place. I say that because they pride themselves on serving free range chicken that is fresh and we appreciate having restaurants that go that extra step. Some may feel the pricing is a bit high, but to get the quality of food that they are serving the cost will be higher and that to me is certainly acceptable. I would give this a 4 1/2 star if I could but sadly high I can't round up to five for this review so I can only gove ot a 4. .
