    Iced badass
    Genesis C.

New to the area and I love this place! I've been multiple times and have never been disappointed. The banana bread is so yummy, and the breakfast croissant doesn't have wimpy servings of bacon. I like how there are rotating cupcakes in the summer and unique pastry choices. I wish you guys were open later, that's my only beef! Big fan of the Mexican mocha, matcha latte, and iced badass. Everyone here is so nice as well, service is great and fast. I especially like how there is a section to purchase locally-made items. Definitely recommend this place to everyone who lives nearby, or is a coffee fan looking for cool new spots.

Industrial Grind strikes a great balance between humble local cafe and hip cool coffee spot. Their menu is simple. Pick a coffee preparation, and then pick a flavor to go in it. Many of the options have sugar free versions which is awesome! Service is friendly and I love looking at the cool products they carry in store. I've got to swing by to try their cupcakes, which are only available Saturdays and feature a different creative flavor each time. I've gotten the mocha and sugar free jasmine iced lattes before, and I've gotten them with both regular and oat milk. These coffees are pricy but taste way better than some of the big chains. I am no coffee connoisseur but even I can appreciate the smooth, roasted flavor that really shines in the drinks I've had here! All in all this is definitely a great option for my morning caffeine fix, any time I'm in the area!

I love the Iced Badass. One of my favorite drinks to get anywhere but their other coffee is also good. The breakfast food is pretty good too, the Acai bowl in particular is really yummy. The staff is always super friendly and the service is usually quick. Their seating are inside is nice but I prefer the plentiful outside tables.

Cute hole in the wall coffee spot for locals. Looks like they have creative bakery options on the weekend . They also have a cute "gift shop" area. We came on a Monday so we missed any creative bakery items as they are served on Saturdays. They do have a small regular menu of food and bakery items available. The item I had was small but ok. One member of the staff seemed passionate about coffee and regular customers. Coffee was average. My cousin had the frittata and was disappointed as it was simply a badly microwaved item (she returned it for a refund). So if you're looking for a neighborhoody place to meet a friend snd have a reasonable cup of coffee this is your spot. (Updated review to reflect frittata and not quiche).

Very welcoming environment with a lovely local vibe. We stopped in to grab coffee after a walk with our dog, and it was populated but not busy inside. The owner greeted us and we let her know it was our first time in. She did a quick tour of the menu, and we both ordered the iced badass, with oat milk. Christmas in a cup is the only way to describe it. A note: their iced drinks are served in the same cups as hot drinks :) We'll be back, frequently!

I've been here a couple times and I didn't write a review. Why? Because I have a huge bias for desserts and this place makes them in spades. I didn't want to just drop a high rated review based on one visit. Today, was a day for coincidences. I was meeting classmates to go study and they suggested Industrial Grind and then I saw on Facebook their post for carrot cake cupcakes. I new today was going to be a good day. On Saturdays they regularly post dessert items they are making for that day and I use to always be at a soul sucking job when they did this. I was late to the study session but just in time to get the last 2 cupcakes. The service was really good and friendly every time I've visited. If you are looking for a neighborhood coffee place or a great place for some outdoor studying then Industrial Grind is the place for you.

    Turkey sandwich on wheat bread
    Melissa P.

I love this coffee shop. Has a simple small town feel unlike other coffee chains like Starbucks. Regulars cycling in and out of the store. They have many flavors for their lattes and a good selection of sandwiches. I tried the turkey sandwich on wheat bread and enjoyed it. Everything is made fresh. The staff is kind and helpful. They have a cute area where they sell merch, and other goods like maple syrup, sauces. I ordered an iced peppermint mocha latte. A bit premature for the season but I was happy they had the flavors available now because it made me really happy!

    Chai
    Lisa W.

At first I was not into their chai because of the sweetness but as I drank it more it grew on me. Yes the chai is very sweet but next time I will ask them to reduce the sugar. It was creamy and didn't have a spicy or fake taste to it. It's not a premade liquid like Starbucks. Inside was way too hot, they need to cool it down a bit.

    Cappuccino
    Arnold T.

Cappuccino was too sweet. I thought I was over sugar loading after Halloween but this drink didn't help. I asked honey as a sweetener and I thought it would be on the side. But it was already mixed in. The self service ordering system wasn't easy to use. In most places, you would just select the drink and customize it after...as an option. In their system, you are forced to make customized selections.

So good. The pumpkin spice is delicious here.
    Curt T.

We ordered from the self service machine and it was a little confusing at first but the girl making the coffee was super helpful and professional. Loved my coffee. The pumpkin spice was very pronounced and delicious. Much more so than other places. Even way better than Starbucks!! All the employees super friendly and helpful. Totally would come back here again and again Best service I had received in a long time. Line was fairly long but they were super fast and didn't have to I wait long at all

It's an absolute staple of what makes exploring the Village so special. It's packed with unique home goods, chic trinkets, and aesthetic lifestyle items. Be sure to wander all the way to the back shelves--there are so many hidden gems worth taking home! Whether you're stopping in to shop for home decor, grab a top-tier espresso, or just soak in the slow, luxurious rhythm of La Jolla, this place is perfection.
