The main building is a lovely and spacious modern inn that balances comfort and traditional elements with open and wide modern floor plans and bright spaces in a pleasing way while retaining the cozy fireplace experiences of more traditional settings. A first floor outdoor veranda opposite the main entrance stretches the length of the main building overlooking the well groomed hillside vineyards and a stocked, picturesque fishing pond. The hillside stretches up the horizon and with the westward facing veranda, offers stunning sunset views along with wine service. Below is a patio off the main restaurant and bar offering even more seating around fire pits with couches and Adirondack chairs with appetizer and drinks available for the bar/restaurant. We toured a king 2 room suite with a large sitting area separated from an equally large and well appointed sleeping area with a private large balcony that also faced the western sunset over the vineyards. The rooms were described as more akin to an apartment whereas the 9 onsite yurts accommodations were described more akin to a condo, described as pet friendly and a quiet community. Behind the yurts is a large barn structure that serves as a tasting room with an outdoor seating area with Edison lights strung around the overhang creating a warm space to enjoy the vineyards end production, currently nine wine vintages. Beside the main building are two much larger shaped yurt structures housing a full fitness center and a spa as will as an outdoor pool. We dined at Hickory for dinner and enjoyed their farm to table, Appalachia oriented menus. That will be a separate review but it hits 10/10 for hospitality, service, presentation and food excellence. We plan a fall trip for an overnight stay when the vineyards come in just before harvest to get the full experience! Also, we initially had a glass of their Chardonnay and being pleased with this, we opted to enjoy a bottle with dinner even though the wine list had equally excellent choices from familiar vineyards. This is highly recommended!

The place has its own desserts as well, but if you've seen a dessert by Anthony you'll have trouble turning that down. Which unfortunately, I did turn down; I did buy several of them, but I let other people eat all of them and didn't get any myself. I hear they were fantastic. All three Greeko's locations are presently offering these top quality desserts, for which I am very happy. Maybe there will be an independent dessert shop again someday, but I'm happy for another reason to come here. As to the actual Greek food, it is also well worth coming for. I got a sampler platter and enjoyed mixing my grape leaves and falafel in hummus and tzatziki. A few whole chickpeas and some spices definitely elevate the hummus. There are a few options I would like to try if I had more room or more time, as the menu has plenty of labeled offerings for special dietary needs and you can really get some nice variety. The interior is quite large, and although drive-through and takeout business seemed good, there were plenty of people here as well, and I expect continued success for them.

BBQ tends to blend together after a while, but theirs stood out, good flavor without being overpowering, something for everybody. I got the smoked turkey sandwich and the turkey was so tender and juicy I almost ordered a second one, even though the first was plenty filling. I'd be back here in a heartbeat if I'm ever down this direction again.

Bristol, Va. We checked into the adjoining Sessions Hotel…read moreand decided to have dinner here, why not? It is close and everyone working there was extraordinary friendly. Our waiter was really cool with his Southern Hospitality and acquired accent (Not From the South, but Accents Can be Contagious). We ordered our food and it came out quickly. Right away I saw that the ribs were charred. I ordered a whole rack as I am able to eat that many when the ribs are moist and tender. Unfortunately, the char was not limited to the glaze like some styles I've had. These baby backs were burnt well into the meat and the carbon was difficult to avoid. This also contributed to a very dry meat. It's a shame because the meat around the bones was quite tender and fall off the bone consistency. I find it hard to believe the pit master was even in the kitchen. Ribs are typically a signature dish in BBQ, and any one with pride in their profession would not allow these ribs to be served. How many times have these ribs be reheated under a flame or heat lamp anyway? Burnt Ends (The Actual Name of the Dish): These are actually pretty good, the flavor kind of hints at a wine sauce. They are way too dry to get through the entire serving though. Fried Green Tomatoes: not bad, just basic. Red Skin Potato Salad: Good, not anything special. Sweet Potato Soufflé: Very tasty, I did eat all of this. Pork Belly Collard Greens: The first few bites were interesting, but absolutely no empirical evidence by taste of pork belly. I soon tired of the vinegar and abandoned the dish. Tomato & Cucumber Salad: OK at first but too much vinegar. I boxed up my ribs thinking they may be salvageable for dinner the next day. Nope. The microwave just dried them out further and also destroyed what was left of the "Burnt Ends". What finally made me certain I would never spend another dollar here was our waiter returned to our table to spread the Gospel. I respect another's right to believe in what ever religion or belief system they want. However, this is a place of business and you work here. It is not the time or place to be proselytizing to a captive audience of customers. I had thought Southern Craft would be our go to place for breakfast, lunch or dinner during our week in Bristol, but I never set foot inside again.

My grandchildren loved it so much that they wanted to return the following day for dinner. This visit did not go as expected. Food came out cold . Had been sitting out for a while. We barely ate our food as it was nothing like the previous evening. Seemed to be very short staffed , but our server did the best she could under the circumstances. I ordered fried okra as one of my vegetables and I never received it until we were ready to leave. Server said she put the order in 3 separate times , so it sounds like they were also short staffed in the kitchen. I had decided I would never return again or go to my local restaurant very close to my house in NC. As I was paying , the cashier asked me how our food was and I told the truth. She said the store manager would want to talk to me and make things right because they pride themselves on the quality of their food and their service. I was absolutely not trying to get free food but hoped by sharing our experience that this would help the restaurant. Everyone was so friendly and kind and I had no intention of posting a bad review giving the store the benefit of the doubt that maybe this was not the usual. I had eaten there a couple of times before on visits when I was staying at the Hilton Garden next door and everything was wonderful. I have had their dinners and breakfast in the past without any complaints. This trip I was staying at a Marriott near a lot of recommended restaurants, but I chose to drive to the other side of town to go there again after I ate there the night before with my cousins and everything was great. This store has an excellent manager who seemed very upset about what we experienced. I told him what happened and he was very apologetic and insisted on comping our food. I said that was not necessary and I did not expect that , but shared my concerns to hopefully help other customers have a better experience and to be sure this location in my hometown where locals work , would do better in the future. I had no plans to post a negative review, but after this manager went above and beyond and restored my faith in Cracker Barrel, I felt it was necessary to post a good review as any restaurant can have an "off night " due to unforeseen circumstances.

Not edible at all. Waitress brought another piece but never bothered to ask if that was better or how everything was. My grilled chicken tenders were pretty good, however, the sides (corn and green beans) were fair at best. Cracker Barrel has switched to the cheapest available canned vegetables. So sad, because I used to love their green beans. Corporate will never read or listen to complaints because all that matters is money, not quality. Honestly, done with CB unless I am desperate and there is no where else nearby.
