Wife and I went on a Saturday morning. She had the strawberry pancake special, and said it was wonderful. I ordered the French toast platter, eggs over medium, with a side of hash browns. The French toast tasted like they had barely dipped it in egg at all. Slightly brown with no crust at all. Eggs might have qualified of over easy, if they had another minute or two on the grill. The hash browns... I love potatoes... someone should be beaten for what they served... although some of the potatoes were browned, the insides of the potatoes were pretty raw. I've been trapped in the house for 2 weeks after knee surgery, so my mother decided to take me to Perkins to get me out. First we stood at the hosted stand for at least 10 minutes waiting for someone to greet us. Mom has to go search the restaurant for the hostess. Based on appearances, pretty sure the hostess is a crack head. The. We get to the table and order. We ordered 1 club sandwich with fries to share. It took more than an hour to get that. When my mom asked how much longer it would be for a single sandwich we got that the kitchen got busy. Not an answer. This was an hour in. Based on the fact that the waitress hadn't brought out any food to any tables in our section for at least 30 minutes, ALL the tables I could see were at the end of their meals or leaving, and the fact that food came 12 min later, I have determined that the waitress forgot to enter the order and because she hadn't checked on us since bringing sodas out she didn't realize it. Then the sandwich itself was dry, had next to no mayo on it, and the bacon was barely cooked. It took about an hour and 15 min to get a single unremarkable sandwich, but the check came literally 3 minutes after the food. All in all, one of the 40 people dining there over the age of 80 would have taken better care of us and served us faster than our 30 something year old waitress. Save yourself and just go to the Taco Bell across the street!!!! read more

Oh boy, where do I begin? Stopped here for a late breakfast, early lunch. The decor is amazingly bad, immediately making us feel like we had walked in to a 1960's nursing home cafeteria. That was an early "turn off" that made the rest of the dining experience painful. Food was standard Perkins fare, not bad but nothing spectacular. Service was friendly but excruciatingly SLOW. They definitely need more table servers. And they ABSOLUTELY need to spruce the place up to make it a more comfortable place to eat. read more

Went to lunch at around 11:30. Myself and my two guests thought we would give it a try as it's the only Perkins close to Colorado. We used to go pretty regularly to the one in North Denver on 120th. Wasn't impressed with the food. I think they called it bacon, two pieces of it on our plate. Our plate of food looked absolutely nothing like the picture on the menu. COVID-19 has changed every thing. Every other table can be seated, do you want coffee with cream and sugar, You have to order it that way, coffee with cream and sugar. The day of condiments on the table has long gone. You need to ask for salt, pepper, a sweater, ketchup, hot sauce, extra napkin, syrup, jelly. Pretty disappointing experience today, went to celebrate my partner's new job, and the host was lovely but our server looked at us twice and never returned for boxes, just dropping of the check without a single word. tonight at 1630 my wife and i went to perkins on dell range. We have gone there every tuesday night since we moved back to cheyenne. We have always had a good experience with this place and wanted to make it our tuesday night dinner get together. We were sat next to a woman coughing her head off, so i asked for another place to sit in the back. The seating lady acted like i was putting her out. Ok no problem. We sat down and the waitress said to wait a minute because she had to help someone move something outside. Ok no problem. We sat down and the patrons in the middle of the room were listening to something on their mobile devices loudly, so loudly in fact that i asked to be seated on the other side of the partition. The woman who told us to wait said it was closed, the back was closed and the other side of the partition was closed. My wife and i decided to go somewhere else and spend our money at another place. Perkins, i understand you are rich enough and dont need our business, but at least take a look at who you hire, also the rude patrons should not be watching TV at the dinner table, not everyone wants to listen to their garbage. I will say the service was laid back, but extremely friendly. The food was borderline perfect. We got 2 breakfast dishes and a lunch dish and everything was prepared perfectly (even taking into the account my dietary restrictions). If we drive through Cheyenne again we will be stopping. read more

Lunchtime during Frontier days can always be a hit or miss situation., unfortunately, I will say this time was a miss for me. Our lunches all included a slice of complimentary pie, so I thought this was gonna be an automatic great lunch, wrong. Our server was not very attentive though her section was not very busy. Many times did we have to ask for re-fills on drinks and those were usually wrong, we had to remind her what we actually ordered then when we did get our food, our meals were just average at best. Breakfast was delicious before I saw the hairs in my food, I'm really sad it was so good! But I got freaked out and lost my appetite. All the staff was so nice, our server was mark ( super friendly) and the manager Cindi and Shay the hostess were also super nice. Just sad about my food, this happened last time we came too :( 5 minutes later update: Shay was super hostile when we tried to pay, we told her the receipt is going to be wrong so she wasn't confused when she opened it on her register. Perkins has contacted me regarding the recent problem with customer service. They were up front about the problem and I accept their explanation of what went wrong. I acknowledge everyone makes mistakes and they are doing the best they can to make it right. I have upgraded my 1 star rating to a 4 star rating. The problem was never about the quality of their food and for me they have a variety of healthy choices that I can eat with my strict diet. 4 stars for friendly staff, 1 star for food, so two stars overall. Although staff was wearing masks there was no social distancing in the restaurant. Booths on both sides taken and all but two tables in the room were full. The audience seemed pretty high risk based on age. At one time a guy a few booths down started coughing rather badly, I almost ran for the emergency exit. We ordered a Denver omelet and a chicken salad croissant with fries. The omelet came with three pancakes but did not look like the picture on the menu. My partner shared he could not figure out the cheese and realized later it reminded him of Kraft Singles. My chicken salad on a flaky croissant looked great in the menu picture. What ended up on my plate was meh at best. The croissant was not flaky, just chewy. There was no mayo or tomato to moisten up the sandwich, just a scoop of the chicken salad. The fries though were good. With two sodas and $5 tip the meal came to $29 and a few cents. Had not gone to a Perkins in 25 years and that memory was good. Perhaps it should have stayed a good memory, or perhaps my tastebuds have grown up. Ample parking though. read more

Solid coffee shop. Its one of the places where the locals eat breakfast and so do the airmen at the adjacent AFB. Reasonable prices with good quality, quick service. The skillet specials are great meals and the biscuits and gravy are well executed. Eat here, don't waste time driving to Johnson's corner. It's faster, better, cheaper and not a tourist-trap, like JC. The good 'ol boys at the register are so polite and yet funny as hell. They give the airmen a bit of fun. My husband and I stopped here while traveling back home on vacation. He loves their peanut butter pie. I've been to a couple other Perkins Restaurants and I must say this one is the least favorite. The waitress was nice and provided good service but I just couldn't get past her dirty uniform. It was rather early in the day so I must assume she came to work looking a mess. If that's not the case, it was still a turn off. On to the food; it was just okay. We both ordered the broiled fish and shrimp entree over rice. My husband requested fried shrimp as well. You had the option of lemon pepper, and one or two other seasonings. My husband asked for light lemon pepper seasoning and it was still over-powering. I requested one of the other seasonings. I honestly can't recall what it was because I couldn't taste anything. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything to rave about either. The asparagus was okay. The rice was moist but bland as well. The moment I walked in I was reminded of my Grandma's home in South Carolina! It is that classic old lady smell, welcoming and familiar. After being seated and looking around - I started to get the picture. Everyone was over the age of 60, at least. This is definitely Cheyenne's old people hangout! And totally nothing wrong with that. Everyone seemed to know each other, it was pretty cute. Side note, if you wear your ABU here, you will be thanked for your service and chatted up numerous times by the older Vets eating here.
