I was very disappointed from the moment I walked in. It was very DIRTY un run down. We were seated and given menus, to which I could feel and see that the menus had not been wiped clean in a very long time! Everything, tables, ladies room, CARPET, everything was disgustingly dirty and neglected. I was telling my dinner guest that they need to close the place and completely overhaul it. Pull the carpet out put in a tile floor which is more hygienic and easily to keep clean in a restaurant. Carpet withholds bugs crumbs and every other disgusting thing you can think of. It's not suitable for a restaurant of that nature. They need to start at the top and work their way to the bottom and scrub every inch of that place. The food was just ok, I was suspect of it after seeing the public areas I can't imagine what the kitchen area looks like. And yes I worked in the restaurant industry so I do speak from experience. I will not be back there and I will not tell anyone to go there until I know that that place has been cleaned up. What wonderful service. Our server Ashley was awesome. The manager John was super as well as the hostess. This place is extremely clean. They gave it a facelift inside and out. They got new people so it's very welcoming. Food is delicious. Cannot complain! So very happy to give a wonderful review we had one of their specials. We had six for $7.99. We really enjoyed them. This Perkins has come a long way in the 4 yrs we have been going here. The service is okay, a hit or miss. They have great specials. Husband like their prime rib when available. My experience here was pretty good. The service to get sat was a little slow they may have been understaffed. The breakfast was decent had bacon, sausage, and eggs. It had two types of sausage one was the smaller breakfast links and then a bigger breakfast sausage more like ham. Everything was cooked well and tasted good. So it was lunch time and I was looking for comfort food. So chicken tenders, mac-cheese and salad was calling! So I ordered take out from Perkins. The food came quick and I was ready. I went to eat my salad first and was setting up and the first thing I noticed was, NO Utensils! Ok, luckily I was home, so grabbed what I needed to eat my lunch. Opened my side salad to just lettuce! Where was my tomatoes, onion, cheese and crouton. No where in sight. After eating my green, I went onto the main plate of chicken tenders and mac and cheese. The mac/cheese was actually very good. I was pleased with fact that it didn't need any seasoning and hit the spot. The chicken tenders were a little over cooked, but in the areas that were a little more meatier, the tender was good. I have not been to a Perkins in quite some time. Came to LeHigh Acres to visit the in-laws and they suggested eating here. I am usually a breakfast guy with these kind of places since they offer a variety of choices from traditional eggs and bacon to omelettes and skillets. My wife went with lunch and when I saw the trio lunch, I ventured over to the "dark side" with her. I chose... wisely... The duo and trio options have soups, salads and sandwiches. The portions are generous and the flavor of my food was very good. I chose the tomato basil soup -- it was THICK, not watery whatsoever. It comes with crackers, but I would suggest you ask for a pice if toast if you venture into dipping-- no skinny on the flavor, very good. Next was the salad. I chose the... Southwest Avocado Blackened chicken, black bean corn relish, American cheese and fresh avocado on fresh garden greens. Garnished with crunchy tortilla straws and served with Chipotle Ranch dressing. 480 cal You can change your dressing. I asked for the vinaigrette. Plating-- I think the bowl is too cramped and hard for you to mix it, but taste was great. On to the sandwich.... So this Perkins used to be pretty decent, good place to sneak off an grab some breakfast or dinner depending on the time. But in the last few years the place has gone down hill. From the smell of mildew, the unclean tables and menus, to the poor service and sorry excuse of a cook in the kitchen I would suggest you run not walk from this particular Perkins. The place was not busy when we arrived and it still took a bit of time before we got our order in and our drinks. The food when it finally did come, had been microwaved from sitting for so long and my daughters pancakes were over cooked and charred on the under side. Our waitress walked past our table many times promising to bring refills that never came. She shyly placed the check for our meal on the table and went straight to the kitchen announcing that she needed to leave. Take out orders and paying tables were left waiting for over 15mins by the counter when there was for once enough waitress working that someone should have been by the counter. I know the cost of gas is crazy high right now but it's worth the couple gallons of gas going to fort Myers to a much better Perkins and not feeling like you need to shower from the experience and schedule a test for COVID read more

Entered an empty restaurant,the manager took two menus walked towards back where I know the bathroom is located I refused the seating he then put the menus down at the second table near the bathroom I can still smell pure urine. I asked him why would you put paying customers by the the bathroom? I handed him his menus and this is where he promptly told me to leave. This has to be the worst service around... if I could give a 0 star I would. From the start we were told 5 min wait, 30 min later we finally get a table. After another 15min we finally get to see our waitress. When the drinks come the coffee cup has lipstick left on it from previous use. The waitress doesn't seem to think this is an issue but replaces the cup. When the food comes it is completely wrong. I would not recommend it's sad to say the service industry in some restaurants is suffering terribly. This is a prime example. read more

The food isn't bad but I'll give this place a two star because the experience that I had while eating there a couple of nights ago. The server (a young lady that I can't remember her name) forgot one of the plates that we ordered and gave another one to the table next to us and when the other customer told her that that wasn't what she ordered she took the plate out of that tables and gave it to me while saying "I know you wanted french toast and these are pancakes but do you want it?" to which I replied "of course not" to be honest, I don't know if the other customer had a taste of it or anything like that and I think that is not the right way to deal with a situation like that. She then mentioned that the plate she had forgotten to send in to the kitchen was going to take just a little longer (but it actually took way over half an hour) and the place wasn't even busy, I think there were only about 4 other tables in total. In addition, when we were ready to leave we had to remind her to take off the french toast that I never got and she never offered an apology nor a discount for the inconvenience. I would love to give this place another chance because the little amount of food that I was able to try was good, but I do not want to have her as my server ever again. read more

I've eaten at this Perkins (regretfully) many times over the years. It's to be expected that they will take a lifetime to take your order, then another lifetime to make the food. But today, they outdid themselves. We were seated at 1pm and it took about 15-20 minutes for a waitress to show up and ask us what we wanted to drink. We put our order in at 1:30pm. The food came out a little after 2pm. By this time I'm ready to eat my napkin... I ordered a Belgium waffle. I could tell by the color of it, I was in for a bad time. Everyone told me to send it back. Considering the time it took for it to come out, felt it was easier to just suck it up an deal with the consequences later. Now, I'm no cook, but I'm pretty sure you shouldn't bust a sweat & get an arm workout when trying to cut into the waffle. I took a bite out of it. Pretty sure they made it with cement mix. It was like eating a bunch of rocks. Cut up the inside of my mouth with every chew. It was more of a Boulder than a waffle. Like, it very well could of been the stone that covered Jesus's tomb. Now it's going to be the stone that covers my tomb, if you know what I mean. If they change the name in the menu to the "Belgium Boulder" I would give it a 10/10 review. Pretty sure ima have internal bleeding after this thing. If you have a day to spend at a restaurant and want to have a year or 2 knocked off your lifespan, you might like this Perkins. read more

I haven't been to Perkins in a very long time because of the service and how long it took to get the food to our table. Well, let me explain something. The Perkins in Lehigh acres has done a 360° turn. From when I last went there. Which is been a very long time because I was disappointed in the service. But now they are under new management. And the past couple of times that I have been in there there has been a male manager which seats you almost immediately when you walk in the door and the server takes care of you immediately. And also your food comes out very quickly. The food has always been a great. And I'm happy that this new manager has really taken initiative. To turn around this restaurant that has so much potential. And he personally comes to your table and checks on you to make sure everything is well your food taste great and your service is doing good. And the server also checked on you several times to make sure you have enough to drink and if the food is good they're definitely going to start seeing more of me and my family. I had even called the manager over. To personally tell him what a great job he has been doing. You know sometimes all we want to do is complain about something. But you know what having the manager come over and explain to him. What a great job he is doing and how well his staff is doing. And how great the restaurant is now that he is taking it over. To see you smile on his face and tell him thank you for noticing. It doesn't take but a couple of minutes. Do appreciate people for their hard work. And great service. We went out to Lehigh Acres, the city that New Yorker Magazine has called the slum of the future. Like all Perkins, it's easy to find because it flies a super-sized humongous stupendously gargantuan American flag. I assume this is to reassure seniors and mid-westerners that the premises are safe for Republicans. Nevertheless, we entered and dined. We had a coupon. Our service was pleasant, almost cheerful. The place was clean and the ambiance was precisely what you'd expect, because it it identical to all other Perkins. The corporate cookie-cutter syndrome. The food was good and reasonably priced. I had the grilled Mushroom Swiss Chicken sandwich with a side salad and was quite happy with it. My wife had the Treasure of the Sea - tilapia with shrimp & rice, which she liked. If you're in the area, give the place a try and see what you think. It doesn't seem to be quite as busy as other Perkins, due to the location. read more

if I could give this one star for the way I was just ignored I would. walked in to have breakfast on a Saturday morning and the gentleman at front who I assume is the manager completely ignored me. he saw me walk in and continued to fix menus walked back and forth glancing at me but not once asking if I needed to be seated. he quickly attended to the white people sitting behind me and even went to the back to enjoy some cold water. We enjoy family restaurants and Perkins is one of our favorites. Their dinners are plentiful and delicious. We especially enjoy turkey, pot roast and homemade meatloaf. Our visit this evening was no exception. This restaurant was short-staffed as all businesses are in the crazy time we live in BUT the staff was extraordinaire.
