My husband and I absolutely love DC Steakhouse -- it's our go-to spot for anniversaries, birthdays, and special date nights. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and perfect for an evening out, and the service is always consistently great. We especially love starting every meal with their truffle fries -- they're our favorite and never disappoint. The food here is always outstanding, and one of the things that keeps us coming back is that they offer different specials each time we visit, in addition to their regular menu. It makes every experience feel unique instead of the same standard selections you see at a lot of formal dining restaurants. Another thing we love is the location. It's right across from the distillery, so we enjoy dinner here and then walk over to go dancing afterward -- it makes for the perfect night out. We came on NYE with an Open Table reservation at 4:00pm. We checked in just before 4 and asked the hostess if it would be okay for us to sit at the bar if it was available. She said that was fine, we easily found two seats and my husband let her know. I'm giving three stars because she "cancelled" the reservation on Open Table which is incorrect because we were there so we did not get credit for it. Now on to the good points. Austin, our bartender was so fantastic! He made great recommendations to us. We started with the Spicy Peach Margarita and Ketel Dirty Martini, both awesome. The Cajun Scallop Appetizer was a perfect way to start our evening. I opted for the Shrimp Cocktail and Tomato & Mozzarella Salad. Both light and excellent! Went for a birthday celebration and had a good time! I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a nicer option in downtown Chandler. I started with a lychee martini, which had a great sweet and sour flavor. I ordered a medium new york strip, and it was pleasantly juicy. The mushrooms and grilled pepper that come standard with the steak were a nicw complement to the rich meal. The baked potato was pretty much what you would expect however, and if I wasn't trying to save room for dessert I would've regretted not going for the loaded option. Since it was for a birthday there was also a free dessert. For those who don't like being the center of attention I am pleased to report the wait staff did kindly honor our request not to sing when it came out. As high end steakhouses go, DC is a solid option. The ambiance is right, with nice decor. I do find the seating can get a but crowded but its not bad. The food is good, and as I have been here several times, the different steaks are very good. Service here has always been impeccable. Ive never had problems with the staff. Superb experience! I decided to dine in here recently for dinner. I am subscribed to their email and every summer they send a dining perk. I missed using it last year before it expired, so I was determined to use the one for this year and I'm so happy I did. My server Chloe exhibited amazing hospitality. She smiled the entire time and was very pleasant. She checked on my table frequently to make sure we were good. I ordered the Blackened Steak Bites and Lobster Mashed Potatoes because I wasn't very hungry. I had planned to order off the happy hour menu but the email promotion excludes happy hour items. The food came out fairly quickly. Hot and ready to be eaten. When I tell you the food was delectable. Not one bite disappointed. I ordered the calamari for the appetizer. I have never had such a full portion of calamari before. And they were cooked just right. The batter on them was so good, I didn't need the marinara sauce that came with it. The steak bites were cooked to perfection so tender they melted in ny mouth as easy as butter. They were well seasoned with so much flavor but not in an overwhelming way. I am not a big fan of lobster, but those lobster mashed potatoes almost made me start singing at the table. Really the potatoes were the star and the lobster added the extra shine. I was very pleased with my meal and shared it with Jeff, the manager on shift. He shared some fun facts about the history of the retirement. How they came to be at the current location and how in the evening the restaurant takes on a different personality with he sunset. The chocolate cake dessert set off the whole meal. I ordered the Blue Cheese Wedge Salad, Blackened Steak Tips, Lobster Mashed Potatoes, Calamari, and the Layered Chocolate Cake, and every single bite was delicious. The steak tips were perfectly seasoned, the lobster mash was rich and indulgent, and the calamari had that ideal crisp without being greasy, very good portions too. But let's talk dessert: if you're a chocolate lover like me, do not leave without trying the Layered Chocolate Cake. It's decadent, beautifully presented, and worth every forkful. Made a reservation on open table and we were sat right away once arriving. Love the outside and inside. We got the bread as an appetizer and the bread basket wasn't that good. My husband got the 1 lb ribeye and a baked potato, comes with a salad too. I got the ny strip, broccoli and comes with a salad too but I can't eat salad so asked if I can sub for anything and that wasn't an option. The steaks were good along with the sides. Years later, they moved to a swanky, modern spot around the corner complete with an enlarged outdoor patio and deluxe fire feature. Food: 2 stars Even though I love the physical improvements, my two stars are for the taste and value of the food. With many quality steakhouses around, the taste of my Mother's Day rib eye here lacked the rich and savory flavors that one expects from high end steakhouse. Their salad dressing was delicious but the "loaded potato" fell flat. The chocolate layer cake was also below average. Service: 5 stars Our server, Paige provided courteous and attentive service during our 90 min stay. Ambiance: 4 stars An elegant white table cloth but comfortable fine dining setting. Sadly my experience wasn't the best.... The service was exceptional! The drinks were delish, and It was cozy and elegant! The food was not what I hoped it would be. My $65 scallops were cooked perfectly but sadly VERY fishy. I ate one half and had others at my table taste pieces. So,1.5 of the 5 were gone. I was comped for a desert to make up for it, which I couldn't eat because I have food sensitivities. The steaks were good, but not cooked medium, more medium well. First time at the new location although it's been here for several years. Food was amazing, I enjoyed the most delicious fresh swordfish. The salad was fresh and delicious as well as accompaniments. Little week on the bread, like frozen as opposed to freshly made. The service both at the bar and our table, excellent. I would call this a medium size restaurant which makes it warm and inviting. What a disappointing meal. We decided to go here for my friend's birthday. We all ordered seafood scallops in pasta and the salmon. First of all the salmon was horrible over cooked and dry and cold the side of potato was small dry and like warm. The scallops with the pasta were tasteless and the pasta was just normal spaghetti noodles that I could get at fry's with butter no taste. It was horrible. All "Steakhouses" are different but the no flexibility with the sides had me scratching my head. I was disappointed as I was told no flexibility in terms of the side which in return made my desired steak meal "subpar". The complement to the steak is a Baked Potato. I get it, but when you have many sides, there should be a way to blend the two and create the ideal meal. Celebrating a group party I decided to go with the 8-ounce fillet, house salad & as a shared side, the Lobster Mac & Cheese. Initially, I requested no baked potato however, it still came out with my meal (maybe so my steak could have some company on the plate). My steak was cooked just right, medium as requested. It was the best part of the dinner. Unfortunately, the lobster mac & cheese was bland and despite having some crumbled breading to complement it, it only changed the texture & not the flavor. Very bland and smelled more fishy than expected. For my cocktail, started with the Mezcal smoky cocktail, and that also was extremely good. All other meals were spot on except for one where the request for the steak was to be medium and it seemed more on the well-done spectrum. We did have the option to send it back, but given the fact that everyone was eating, they decided to just keep what they had. I do like the location and the settings however, the experience with the group that night didn't really stand out for me. Our waitress, Diana (blonde hair and glasses) I believe that was her name, was wonderful. Great customer service, super sweet, and checked up on us many times. Loved how they still had holiday decor and when my boyfriend and as the night went on my boyfriend and I were basically the only ones in the restaurant. It was nice! Went to DC Steakhouse with friends on a Sunday night. To say the least, we were underwhelmed from start to finish. We had a reservation and were sat promptly and someone brought us waters. From there, everything went south. We sat for 20 minutes without being acknowledged. We finally asked the hostess about our server. When someone came out, we placed our order for everything - drinks, apps, entrees. It took another 10 minutes to get our drinks, and 10 more minutes for our calamari and salads. The calamari was fine, but nothing special. Our steaks came out. It was fine, but again, nothing special. I got the sweet potato fries as my side. They were limp, lukewarm, and unseasoned. We also ordered a side of sautéed spinach to share. They brought that out long after our steaks came out. The spinach had zero seasoning, not even salt, no garlic. Just wilted spinach. Our server stopped by only to perfunctorily ask if everything was ok. For a steakhouse, the service was inattentive and the food was average. If you're in DTC, go to Elliot's. We went here last Saturday night on Valentine's Day as a party 4 with a reservation. Check-in process was fairly straightforward and simple. They walked us outside and sat us at a black plastic folding table with a tablecloth on it and cheap plastic chairs. The rest of the restaurant has nice table tables and chair chairs and we got sat at the black plastic table with folding chairs. Their menu was a paper menu like literally a Xerox paper menu. The service was not bad, but it was mid at best. From what I could gather the server had a section inside and was assigned us as her only outside table. We asked for the patio heater to be turned on and this never happened, so I got up and turned it on. It had a piece of ducked tape to hold the valve open/on. All this meant was everything came to us a lot later and a lot slower. Drink refills were painfully slow. The food was mid at Best. The service was mid. The four of us were extremely disappointed at the overall experience. I have had worse service and food at other places that I would return to. At a place like DC steakhouse, I would expect more. Had a terrible experience here, was waiting for dinner to come out and a waitress dropped a huge thing of BBQ sauce on the ground and it flew all over me, ruined my brand new white shoes, jeans, shirt, and hat, even got on my face lol. But having sauce all over me just ruined the night, then the manager came over and said they would take care of any dessert I wanted lol. It was just a awful experience overall, had to ask for silverware when we got appetizer, had to ask for a fork when we got our steaks, had to ask for napkins during dinner, then the manager didn't even take the $8 dessert off on my bill when I got it, so was just beyond annoyed and had a terrible experience, the manager didn't remember anything when it came to helping our table but he sure did remember to pick a girl up who straddled him while grabbing and holding her up by her butt, what a strange environment and terrible overall night. My wife and I are foodies and have been meaning to try this place for some time, but have held off as it's obviously a pricey restaurant. We started, by recommendation, with the cheese curds, which were quite good and unique. They used a fairly sharp cheese which added flavor and then gave them the lightest breading I've ever seen. For the main course, I had lamb chops, maybe the best I've ever had! They were seared crispy on the outside and warm and juicy on the inside. My wife had the salmon, which she reported as very good, but not the best she's ever had. We also had a side of cream corn which was also very good. The deserts, while good, where nothing special. I want to emphasize that they were good, just disappointing relative to the rest of the meal. (It's hard to be superior in every category! lol) Drinks were good. We split a brandy Alexander as part of desert. It was huge (could have been desert for both of us) and it also classified as maybe one of the best "milkshakes" I've ever had. If you only have one drink during your visit there I recommend that one. Ambiance was upscale, older dark steakhouse. Service was a bit slow, but slow in the "we're not going to rush you" sort of way. The lighting was low enough that was finding the bones in my lamb-chops by "feel" rather than sight. :) It is a bit pricey but lower than we expected. We went in Oct 2025 (for future reference). We had an appetizer, two main dishes, a side dish, two deserts and 5 drinks for slightly under $200. I believe that when we're given the chance to do good, we should -- and recently, I was fortunate to help a dear friend who's been ill. Her family, who live out of town, insisted on thanking me with a generous gesture: a gift certificate to DC Steakhouse in Chandler, a restaurant that holds sentimental meaning for them. It arrived at just the right time -- near my wife's birthday -- and gave me the chance to treat her to a special dinner I otherwise couldn't have afforded. That, to me, is the beauty of a gift like this: it allows kindness to extend a little further. Unfortunately, the experience didn't match that spirit. The gift certificate was more than enough to cover our meal and a 20% gratuity. When the check came, we placed the certificate and a small amount of cash to cover the tip. Our server, polite but unmoving, explained that gratuity could not be paid with a gift certificate. Instead, they would issue the small remaining balance -- not even enough for an appetizer -- as a new certificate, requiring us to dine there again. I want to be clear: I would never tell the family who gave us this gift what happened. Their gesture came from gratitude and love, and I won't let the restaurant's policy tarnish that. But I was disappointed to find that what was meant to be a complete, generous experience instead left us having to pay out of pocket and carry home a token we'll never use. If I were in a position to dine here freely, I would choose not to. I hope DC Steakhouse considers what such rigid policies do to the spirit of giving -- and to the people they might never have known, if not for someone's kindness. read more

Came with a side salad that was huge and a baked potato. Steak was cooked to perfection with just the right amount of seasoning. Perfect grill marks and char. I will definitely be back again. It's not an every week kinda place. It's a bit pricey but if you're looking for a cut of meat worth it, this is your place. Unfortunately this restaurant has really gone downhill in quality. We had noticed it heading that way for awhile so we waited almost a year before trying it again. Last night it was just bad. The service was really bad. They were super nice when they did come and check on the table but that was far and few between. The walleye was extremely dry and no one came around to ask if we needed anything when I really needed lemon. Needless to say it wasn't eaten, and no one asked if everything was okay. We had a larger party and most were not pleased with the quality of their food, especially for the price. Things are obviously pricey these days, but what's being charged for Applebees type steak isn't acceptable. We do love the atmosphere and the place is always clean and welcoming.
