Went here THREE different times while in Jackson Hole. Ordered multiple items, multiple times. Tried coffee, lemonade, and lunch items. The first day and first thing I ordered was an iced mocha made with oat milk. It was $8.22 plus tip. Quite a hefty charge. I looked closer at my receipt and noticed the breakdown: (they will ALWAYS charge you the highest/large price on the menu if you do not specify. So they charged me for a large, plus $1.00 to make it iced, plus another $1.75 for oat milk, plus tax = $8.22) I then ordered the chocolate chocolate chip walnut cookie, very good and chewy, meringue-like, thick, chocolatey, well-balanced, but rich. I'd order it again! The next day we ordered an iced latte. Again they charged the highest/large price. Plus $1 for iced plus $1.75 for oat milk! $$$ The chocolate chip cookie was thick, chewy, and delicious! The next day we ordered the green goddess bowl, the panzanella salad, the chocolate cake, an espresso, seasonal lemonade, and a cold brew. The food was unique which we SO APPRECIATE!!! Not just the same ol same ol, but a little over priced for the portion size. The thing that stands out most though is that the menu says a cold brew is $4 and they charged us $5. When we brought it to their attention, they said "oh it's $5 in our computer so the menu must be wrong" ok well that's false advertising and there was zero attempt to change it. Obviously we went here three days in a row, and spent over $100, so $1 wasn't going to break the bank, but it's the principle behind it and ZERO EFFORT to make it right. I will still come back again despite this. I saw a cute kitchen apron, but looked at the price... $90 for a kitchen apron, and $62 for a bowl, I don't understand how this Wyoming town charges such high prices. I do wonder if someone will actually pay $90 for an apron. Just a curiosity I guess. I live in Southern California and am used to things being pricey, but that seems a little absurd. Of course it's your choice to purchase or not so I did not and that's the beauty of free enterprise! I hope someone finds this review helpful. I waited in line for breakfast pastries at 0730 while my kids and wife slept at the hotel. Boy we're they happy to not eat the complimentary hotel breakfast! We at chocolate croissants, brioche buns and scones over a couple of days. Flaky, fresh, buttery, melt-in-your-mouth goodness. Not a good place to go if you're on a diet . A cute café and case laden with pastries, to which I had several questions. I was slightly off-put by the young lady's attitude that stood behind the case. Attitude... hmm, may not be the right word - when I inquired about the products, she wasn't able to provide answers and I kinda felt stupid for asking. It was almost as if, I should have known or something. Luckily, our conversation was overheard by a male staffer, who stepped in, to provide detail on their pastries. It's always nice to find a great French-style bakery in any town and Persephone is one of those. They were already sold out of their pumpkin bread by the time we got there and it wasn't even 10:00 am yet. But no problem. The Cinnamon Brioche was fantastic, and so were the ham and cheese croissant, the blueberry muffin and the amazing apple croissant. The croissant dough that they used in several of these pastries tasted delicious and excellent and was baked beautifully - with crispy exteriors and soft, slightly chewy interiors. It's easy to see why the line to order was so long. These baked goods were well worth the wait. read more

This place is so lovely and charming! There were tasty options for our whole family, including dairy/gluten free. The only negative review I have is in regards to the employees, not all of them, but in the two separate occasions we visited most were pretty darn grouchy, and rude. Many of us have worked in the service industry at some point in our lives and understand how difficult it can be, however standing behind a counter taking a coffee and muffin order doesn't warrant the odd attitude we received. At least it was a good learning experience for our young kids....try to spread a little kindness when you can. read more

We had the Scone skillet and seeded avocado bowl and both were SO full of flavor and by far one of the best places we've had while visiting this small town. If you're visiting Yellowstone, or Jackson Hole, or just Wyoming, this bakery is a MUST VISIT. I dragged my family here one morning during our Yellowstone trip, and we've been back every morning since. First of all, Persephone Bakery is a bright, French-style local bakery that's very much a part of the Jackson Hole community. The interior is small but quaint, and the outside seating area looks like a mini picnic area. Bakers are very friendly, and the displays looked absolutely scrumptious. We ordered so much bread and tea-- almond pastries, kouign amanns, cinnamon brioche bread, white chocolate pistachio scones-- as well as made to order treats like their croissant egg sandwich, berry bread pudding, and croque madame. Now, my family normally only eats Asian food, and will ultimately turn away food from most other cuisines. And they *loved* this bakery. Each pastry was light and airy, especially the kouign amann and brioche. The white chocolate pistachio scone was just the right amount of crumbly, and I couldn't get enough of the croissant egg sandwich and croque madame. Warm, savory, with fried egg whites and egg yolk just runny enough. Nothing here short of perfect. We placed online order, it takes forever to get ready. Just two cup of coffees and three pastries which they can just grab and put into the bag. (I see them through the glass) Said ready by 10:00am, told us to wait for a bit, asked again, now 10:10 told me another 5 minutes. Coffee time wrote on the cup shows it was ready 8 minutes ago..... thank you for the warm coffee while I'm still waiting for the pastries..... ok, the iced coffee with cream, tastes horrible, not much creams in there. Super cute little downtown cafe and bakery. It's a great spot to relax with a drink and/or food whether indoors or out as they have good seating in both places. Also seemed very crowded, which was a good sign. Great selection of drinks and food and other little gift/food items (candles, chocolate, mugs, and misc. treats). I was a tad disappointed in their pastry selection when I was there (wish there were some scones or more savory items), but did get a very delicious oatmeal cookie with my latte. Absolutely loved this place. My boyfriend and I went for coffee early in the morning and got lattes and an assortment of pastries. They were pricey but well worth it after we tried them! They also had an assortment of Halloween themed cookies that we got. We came back the same day for lunch because we thought it was so tasty from breakfast and I got the grilled cheese. Inside the sandwich it had brussel sprouts in it and almost a sweet jam...SO YUMMY! I got an iced tea that was super refreshing. And of course another pastry. The apple croissant tasted like apple pie- absolutely delicious! If you're in the Jackson hole area this is a must try! This place is so adorable and their drinks are delicious. They make homemade marshmallows with your hot chocolate-- choice of vanilla or peppermint. So sweet and melts in the hot coco, mmm. The line was long when we arrived, but it moved fairly quickly and we were able to find a table. The staff were all very nice and the pastries looked amazing-- including some gluten free cake and gluten free muffins. In the week we were here, we ate at the bakery 3 times and picked up food to go twice. The baked goods are yeasty goodness and the sandwiches are delicious. Their website says they are open until 5/7 but their kitchen closes at 3. This time I had to wait over 30 minutes for a cold sandwich that wasn't supposed to be cold. It also tasted like it sat a while before it was delivered. Very disappointed. At least the huckleberry croissant which I had planned on saving for later left me with a good taste back in my mouth. I was in Jackson for a half month in 15 below zero weather for work and having this cafe to get a good cup of coffee and breakfast in made a huge difference! The Lattes are delicious, and they had oatmilk as an option. The breakfast and pastries are always fresh here. The details of the silverware and decor are wonderful and quaint. One small drawback was that our table was quite wobbly. We shared a ham and cheese croissant which was flakey and buttery and delicious. I got a cappuccino which was fresh and good. The best food and the cutest ambience! I need to recreate the grilled cheese because I dream about it. The service is spectacular!

We ate breakfast twice here during our stay in Jackson. Our group of 10 people tried just about every item on the menu. Everybody was pleased with the food, including the egg sandwich, the bacon quiche, the omelette, the pastries. The expansive patio provides plenty of room, even for groups as large as ours to enjoy themselves. There are a couple of downsides. When you order coffee or some other drink that they need to prepare, the pick up system is quite awkward with large numbers of people standing near the door waiting for their name to be called. There must be a better system (such as the number they give you when you order food). Also if you want to avoid a long line, try showing up at 7 AM, opening time--then you'll only have to wait 10 or 15 minutes to place your order and another 10-15 to get the food. If patience is your virtue, this could be your spot. read more
