Amazing place. In order French Toast, one egg scrambled and bacon. Rebecca's was my waitress. The 2 pieces of FT filled the plate to overflow. My eggs were done just the way I asked for them, but the one egg looked more like 6 scrambled eggs. Delishous. Bacon was crisp without being greasy. I ate as much as I could, and the plates looked like they hadn't been touched. God bless Rebecca. Attentive and so very pleasant. Pretty great place, I don't really come here too often but when I do I never have any complaints, the food is good and the portions are pretty large so I end up taking some food home. So my wife are on vacation from work and decided to have breakfast out. We showed up to the restaurant 9:15am got seated right away in the last table under ac unit. Then we proceeded to wait for twenty minutes while others sat after us were being waited on, before I had to go up to the hostess station and ask if anyone was going to take care of our table. They responded by saying they were not sure who's table that was assigned to( hostess's responsibility). Afterwards they came directly to our table to take our drink and meal orders. I ask for coffee with cream and Splenda, a large cranberry juice, 4 eggs over medium chourico home fries rye toast. My wife tea four eggs over easy turkey bacon cottage cheese pumpernickel toast. So after we ordered our waitress forgot my cream and Splenda, proceeded to clear another table and seat three gentlemen and take their order serve their drinks. Then I had to ask another waitress for my cream. Our waitress instead of taking a opportunity to turn our experience into a positive, it continued to get worse. We ate our breakfast and waited again to get our check, the tip should've been the minimum or none, instead because we did not have the right change to leave $35(check+10%)minimum, we left $40(check+25%) just so we could leave. A great breakfast shop if you want something unique and tasty to light up your morning. They take tables relatively quick, our "25 minute" wait on a Saturday morning really wasn't that bad. Service was good, it always has been! Ordered the Chorizo Benedict, California Benedict, and California Burrito, which were all pretty tasty! Complaints are with the obnoxiously chlorinated water that could easily come from a swimming pool, a dirty water cup and a big long dark hair in the Chorizo Benedict. Also, if you want to order a burrito, make sure you are sharing it with someone else, it is WAY too much food for one person for breakfast. Stopped by Percy's for a late Sunday breakfast. Restaurant wasn't very busy at noontime and I was alone, a party of one. It took a few minutes to be seated, was served coffee almost immediately. After the quick coffee service things got SLOW. I drank an entire coffee before my server took my order. When my meal was brought to the table it was unfortunately very cold. I feel as if the meal was a great quality but was most likely not brought to the tablle in a timely manner. I'll most likely give this place another try. read more

This is the kind of breakfast food one would eat if one were not terribly picky about the quality and flavour of their breakfast but still loved huge quantities. To begin with the beginning, the decor. Country hideous, but clean. Norman Rockwell your thing? Awesome! Come on in! The waitress was great. Prompt and polite, or else this would be a two star review. I really liked her even though I don't think the feeling was mutual. The food? Mixed bag. Coffee was disgusting. Had one small cup, couldn't finish it, and switched to cranberry juice. It wasn't coffee, it was dirt flavoured water I think. I shudder thinking about it now. Now, the menu is awesome. Huge! It has a small lunch menu so you can get a brunch if you choose. And choose I did, ordering a grilled cheese, shredded potatoes (home fries? hash browns? I honestly always thought they were hash browns but now I'm not so sure-ya know what? For this review they will be called hash browns) and a grilled bagel with cream cheese. Leave my carb fest alone! "P" got a western omelette with an english muffin and the "famous" corn bread on the side. So the deal was that I COULD have ordered the corn bread because I wanted to try it. BUT she got two sides and corn bread could have been one of them, so why pay for it? Wellll...(and this is no way affects the review-this is just something that made me cranky) I couldn't try the cornbread, because some ham had fallen out of her omelette and onto the cornbread that I wanted to try, and this vegetarian doesn't play that way. She said however, that she wasn't super impressed. However she WAS super impressed with the size, flavour and amount of cheese in her omelette. Then there was my plate. My grilled cheese was delicious, and a must have for anyone going in the future. Perfect amount of cheese, cooked perfectly on thick sliced bread. However, only half of my bagel was grilled and my hash browns were overcooked. NOT burnt...overcooked. Apparently overcooked is how they cook them there so this is a note to all future diners - ASK FOR UNDERDONE. Or not. It's up to you. I did complain about the bagel and the hash browns, and she brought me out a plate immediately of properly cooked ones-remember the last ones weren't burnt, so YOU be the judge from the picture. They hurt my mouth eating them so.... Anyways, the waitress was a champ. She was the best part. All in all I would go back again, but wouldn't go running back for sure, and certainly wouldn't get the coffee!! read more

I was expecting a chintzy chain-type place, but the restaurant had more of a quaint cozy-cabin layout, which kind of made me feel like it was a gingerbread house. That only made me hungrier for pancakes. The service was *awesome*, and I never had to wait for a coffee refill. I was also highly impressed at how the waitress dealt with a very demanding customer in the next booth - amazing patience! I had the "All-American" pancakes (blueberries, strawberries, and whipped cream - get it?) and my mouth is watering right now just thinking about them again. A good portion - large but not insane. They are not kidding about the menu. You could probably come here every day for 3 months and get something different each time. Great spot, and a good type of place to support. read more

Well, Persy's in Dartmouth has been a regular spot of ours for ages. Today was our last visit. We go so often because there is enough seating that there isn't usually a wait and it is right near by. There are always little problems, burnt coffee, the pancakes aren't very good, the service is usually lackluster but, TODAY. Ugh. Lemme tell ya. We go to a few places first and they all have a wait so we decide to go to our old standby. Oops. It's October here in New England and the waitress tries to seat us in the little back room that is air conditioned, really? We get sat at a less freezing, incredibly sticky table. Boyfriend orders biscuits and gravy which comes with sausage, eggs, and two sides (home fries and toast for him.) and I order a Montana omelet with a cinnamon crumpet and a pancake (for the baby) and I order her a scrambled egg. We have to go get crayons and an extra place setting ourselves. Whatever. The food comes. My omelet was OK. The scrambled egg was wet to the point of being part raw, the pancake was cold and dry (when it came to us, not after letting it sit). The best part of all was the sausage and biscuits meal. It was a biscuit shaped like a muffin, cut in half with cold gloppy sausage gravy on it. The muffin/biscuit was inedibley dry. The other plate had eggs, toast, and home fries. No sausage. Boyfriend asks waitress, doesn't this come with sausage? She apologizes, comes back with a side plate with two sausage patties on it. OK. We have ordered that particular plate a zillion times and it was always regular biscuits. He eats the eggs, sausage and toast. The baby eats a tenth of the pancake and I eat my omlete. The table next to us ordered the same biscuit meal. His comes with three sausage patties, and he didn't have to ask for them. I get up to pay the bill and I tell the waitress at the register that it was incredibly disappointing and she notes that we come in all the time. She offered to pull the meal off the bill and I told her no, I was happy to pay for it. I just wanted her to know how bad it all was. She takes it upon her self to comp the entire bill. I thank her fifty times and tell her I'm sorry to be complaining. I leave a stellar tip for a mediocre waitress. It would be OK if the story ended there. I go back to the table and am putting my kiddos jacket on when the owner comes out and asks me what was wrong. I tell him. He tells us that the biscuits have always looked like that and disagrees with us. I tell him the pancake was terrible and offer him a bite, he is arguing with us that the food was just fine. Um, just apologize. I don't need to argue with you for a half hour. Then, he un-comps the bill and takes the bad meal off of it instead and has us pay it. Seriously? I'd have been happy to pay it but, how do you look any pettier than that?? Happy to pay that bill. I'll never be back to eat your mediocre food with your poorly staffed dining room and your sticky tables. There are plenty of other places int eh world more than happy to take my money. read more

This is my favorite breakfast place around. I went today as it's been awhile since I've had a Sunday morning breakfast out and I must say... the owner's son Nick (as read on his name tag) was the most helpful, cutest little boy ever. He is a 14 year old who sits guests at tables, pours your coffee and makes sure you have an A+ experience. I gave him a small 5$ tip as I walked out and he was so genuinely thankful, it made my day. I didn't want his amazing service to go unnoticed because it is great to see someone so young have a great work ethic. On another note the hash benedict is amazing!! Usually love this spot, use to go a lot with my dad when we were younger. This time we were put in the back corner of the restaurant. We waited such a long time, watching others who came after us get served. We waited an hour for ice cold food. One of the girls who worked there was sitting at a table taking selfie's with us in the background it was just odd. I Like Plymouth location, but would have to pass on this location. I've only tried it here once for breakfast but I was impressed. They have free coffee in the waiting area on weekend's when the line can be busy. Large selection for the breakfast menu with pancake/waffle toppings I never dreamed of. From cranberries to pineapple, to traditional items such as strawberries or blueberries, they have it all for your pancakes/waffles. They also have biscuits and gravy, omletes and other typical breakfast foods. A good family atmosphere, that reminds me of a cottage in the mountains somewhere. I have been coming to Persy's Place for years. After the experience today it is doubtful I will return. We arrived for a late breakfast, opting for inside dining due to have 3 children with us. We were sat quickly but then waited some time before a staff member returned. The staff returned to take our drink order-I ordered a flavored ice coffee. After another 10 minute wait our drinks arrived by a different staff member; without my ice coffee. I was told it was being brewed and to give it another 5 minutes. After 15 minutes the staff arrived to take our food order, without my ice coffee. I ordered a geek omelet no olives. After quite some time waiting out food arrived without our toast and my omelet made with olives. The omelet was returned. My ice coffee came as everyone else was finishing their meals. We were then told our toast was burnt and they were remaking. My omelet finally came with a side of toast (never received the other but at this point we were desperate to leave and I was hungry). The children at this point over an hour for eggs, were crying and fidgeting. No apology for the terrible service, the error with food, drink and being neglected for quite some time. The bill came, I was charged for the 1 side of toast we received when both omelets should've had toast included but I paid it because I had waited enough. They have locations all around the Cape - also known to have the biggest breakfast menu around! Their fresh squeezed orange juice is the cure to ANY hang over or ailment you're suffering from. It's SO GOOD! I usually get one of their inventive omelets... my favorite being their meatloaf omelet!! SO GOOD! And it comes with a side of baked beans and a huge wedge of corn bread. And every time I get their corn bread I'm always AMAZED at how sweet and moist and just AWESOME it is. Seriously - best corn bread ever. EVER! I want the receipe!! Unfortunately, my husband and I had a terrible experience at Persy's Place yesterday (Saturday July 1). I ordered the stuffed mushroom omelet (one of my past favorites!) with a side of corn bread and hash browns (also my favorites). The omelet had very little stuffing in it and no hollandaise sauce...very bland tasting. The hash browns had no taste to them. I never add salt to anything I eat, and I could only eat it with salt and pepper. The corn bread was badly burnt, so I sent it back to get a second piece that was very dry. My husband's hash Benedict, looked like it was thrown on the plate with no regard of presentation. One of The English muffins had nothing on it! The taste was lacking as well. Our waitress never came over to see how we were doing and didn't even ask us how the meal was when she brought us the check. I explained how disappointed we were in the meals and she apologized but that was it. She didn't bring over a manager in attempts to give us an apology or money off our bill. I feel extremely rude doing this but unfortunately I wanted to rate 1 star but atleast the scenery was beautiful. The staff was very unwelcoming. The wait for our food was almost 3 hours. We sat for over an hour to even order drinks let alone food.They close at 2pm so when we got our food we were rushed the bill. The plates came out in different orders so we did not get the correct meals we orderd. Food was missing. Toast was not brought out for my son, and the waitress turned and said, " are you sure? I brought that toast out". I thought that was extremely rude to try to argue over my son not getting toast. I dont care to get free bread when I had to wait 3 hours to get any service. They brought us over no maple syrup so two of our guests could not even eat their meal. There was no service period we werent asked about refills, syrup, missing food, etc. We werent even comped for food missing and waiting almost 3 hours with a bill totalling over 100 dollars. Love to come to Persy's because of the big overwhelming menu that makes my decision harder and harder every time I come here! So I went with the Hash Bomb! HOLY SHIT! They aren't kidding about the bomb part! They literally take a croissant and stuff it with hash and scramble eggs... Not a little smart portion either where you can two hand handle the sandwich, This thing was a huge tower STUFFED with a generous amount of hash and scrambled eggs!!!! And this huge tower was dressed with cheese sauce all over it! The hash tasted amazing! Nothing like that canned stuff! This sure was fresh hash! I got a side of home fries, which are soooo good! And a side of a pancake (which was very bland and had no taste it really!) The waitresses were very quick and courteous! We didn't have just one it seemed!
