Weird-shady activity at this business. I had my motorcycle parked near the body shop one night while at work; after I got off work it was gone. I filed a police report for a stolen vehicle. I came back to the auto body shop the next day to ask if maybe they saw someone taking the motorcycle, the employee I talked to said, "no". Two weeks pass and I get a call from the police saying they found the motorcycle, it has been stored in Peruva Auto Body. After talking to the officer that filed the report, she claimed that the owner pulled the bike into the shop after he claimed that it was parked in front of their drive-way (which I did not). I had to pay over $400 to get my bike out of the tow yard (which was two blocks away and stored for one night). I went to the owner and asked him to please pay me back for the tow/garage fee as it was completely illegal for him to pull another person's vehicle off the street into his garage without permission. He of course said no and gave me attitude. Lots of just shady and inconsistent facts. The employee (who may have been out of the loop) claimed that he knew nothing of a blue motorcycle; I did not park in their drive-way, but even if someone moved my motorcycle to make room for themselves to park or something why would you pull it off the street and into your garage? Why not park it on the sidewalk or in front of your business or call a tow right then and there? Why pull it into your garage? I don't think they took the bike with the intent of theft, but possibly they're in-bed with the tow company or they're just completely incompetent. Scum-bag business, the same people to over charge you for shoddy work. Shame the legal system is too much of a burden for $400, because even the filing officer was encouraging me to go through small claims as it was clear as-day they were at fault. read more

About two years ago my Mercedes needed some work done, and Dora mentioned Luis, where she has been taking her Honda for several years. I was happy, actually very happy, with Mike at.....but I decided since I had been going to Mike for a long time I would try somebody new. So I pulled up in front of Peruva Auto and was immediatly skeptical. This place didn't exactly look like Mercedes shops I had been to. I don't mean to say it was trashy or aything, but I guess I was used to the more upscale Mercedes places. I went ahead and parked and walked inside and asked for Luis. Well, all I can tell you is every interaction with Luis & every transaction has been over the top excellent in every way. He literally is the very best of 'small business'. Sort of bizzare how he manages to get so many things so right. Just one example so this doesn't turn into a novel. The windows and side mirrors weren't working on my Mercedes, so instead of going to Mike I looked around for the best possible mechanic for electrical work. Wasted a day in San Franciso and over $500 to have him tell me I need to take my car to the dealer as he could not fix it. F.....k! A few weeks later, same process, sure I have nailed it, same end of story....sorry, take it to the dealer. I decided I could live with windows and side mirrors not working. About a year later my car needed some misc service so I took it to Luis and said, 'by the way, could you take a look at the windows and mirrors?' New end of story: Luis says it took him half a day of diagnosis (for which he didn't charge me) and that they were working. I said, 'really, do you think they will work now?' 'Of course they'll work, guaranteed, no question.' And they did, and are. This just scratches the surface of the ways I have been impressed with Luis and his crew. read more

About 7 years ago, my car needed it some repair, so I asked my brother about " his mechanic", his answer surprised me because he said " the owner knows what he's doing, and he is very honest", honest!?!? You don't get that answer when you talked about a mechanic, he had been taking his cars to Peruva for awhile after my cousin told him about this place. So I went there and asked for Mr Arcos, and I meet a nice, smart, professional owner, who treat me with so much respect, and explained me what was going with my car, the price was fair, and he got it done by the end of the day. That was 7 years ago, so now my whole family take their cars there, and we all trust Luis and his team their are the best. I have had my Lexus and Toyota serviced by Peruva Auto Repair for the past 5 years, and I highly recommend this establishment. The shop is spotless and we'll-organized and all work was done on time and correctly. I have also had body work done, with outstanding results. Luis Arcos, the owner, is one of the nicest and finest young men I have met in a long time. He deals with insurance companies, and the fees for services are reasonable and not inflated. My car is always washed when delivered. Peruva recently diagnosed a problem with my tire sensor light, and although he spent several hours trying to remedy the problem, in the end he sent me to Lexus of Marin. there was no charge to me, despite I was willing to pay for their efforts . In summary, you could not do better than going to Peruva Auto Repair for auto maintenance or body work. read more

I have been going to Peruvia Auto for over 6 years now and have never been disappointed! Luis and his crew have always taken excellent care of our cars (Audi and mini-van). Now my father in-law also goes there for his old Chevy pick up. And so are a lot of my friends. The estimates are always accurate so there are no surprises when it's time to pay. Luis always breaks it down between what needs to be fixed if urgent, and what can wait, so you can plan for it and know what's coming. Just a good honest shop! Luis never leaves you hanging: he will find the problem on your car, even if it means going the extra mile (unlike many dealers who claim to be factory certified, charge a fortune and are usually only good at changing brake pads). It's hard to say enough about peruva auto repair and Louis the owner... I've had some major problems with three cars and I was referred to Louis by a good friend... From the first moment he treated my issues with perfect performance... The prices were very fair and the difficult diagnosis of the problems were spot on.... This after two other well known shops could not figure out the problems.... Additionally, Louis offered to lend me his truck to drive one day when my work truck was in his shop.... I didn't even ask. My car was fixed from my insurance after a flood has terminated the starter. two days later my car battery started smoking and alternator was not good anymore after my insurance said that all damages are taken care of. I took the car to Luis and was able to find many other problems to the car. The car ended up being totaled, but my experience was great! The people is very nice, even thought they are very busy they still treat you with a kindly respect. Luis even let me use a car at no charge while my insurance was taking over. When I think about this shop and the owner/manager Luis I only remember how many thousands and thousand of dollars he has scammed me for. You have to be very careful. If you're a first-time customer he'll give you such a ridiculously low price so that whenever you bring your car back to him you always think you're getting a good price. But what he will do his he will charge you $5000 for a repair that doesn't even need to be done. He'll hold your car for a couple weeks and make it look like the work was done. I have taken a variety of cars for repairs to Peruva. Three VW's, one Volvo, a Ford pick-up, and an Audi. The shop is well run, the entire staff friendly, and they know what they are doing and try to achieve it without spending all the client's money. Had a flat tire at home; Luis came by. the. house. He offered a couple of alternatives; I chose to let him air the tire & take it into the shop. Left his car at my home.
