I just had my first experience at pet food express and it was fantastic! The staff was notably helpful and friendly. I was buying food for my guinea pig and a staff member showed me to the aisle right away and another staff member showed up a minute later to help me make a selection AND offered to carry my packages. Checkout was smooth and quick. I usually get my pet food at a store near my house, but I think I'll come here (near work) more often! read more

Service was very excellent. A young lady name Nessa helped me with my baby pitbull that is very picky. She recommended a raw diet for my dog because she said it will help make them leaner, helps with skin and coat, teeth cleaning, all of the benefits that will keep my dog healthy. Every time he sees his food, he gets really excited all the time and it is just so adorable. She also gave me some tips and tricks on potty training. She made my puppy and I feel very welcome and gave us a lot of education on the breed. Also, she helped us get some fish oil to help with the skin and coat. I wouldn't known all of this without her help. Gave us some great samples to help us figure out what my dog likes and gave us a 5 dollar coupon for his first bath! She's such a great,happy person. The team at this location always provide great service. When I came into the store I was in a bit of a rush (my fault) and I was greeted and ready to be helped by associate Evan and his team member who I unfortunately did not get her name working at the register. Both were incredibly sweet and welcoming and directed me to their store manager Susan. They were multitasking while staying productive and know what to do in a situation with multiple customers needing help. Despite being incredibly busy, Susan took the time to help me kindly with my odd request and made me feel confident that I could put my trust in her. I appreciate the care this store takes to treat me and my dogs well every visit. The VIP Pet Care mobile vet is amazing as well for being so easy and convenient. Great individuals who genuinely care for all animals. My little dogs always receive great care from them whether or not I am present or my parents take them. read more

I've lived in the are damn near all my life, but never ever needed to go into Pet Food Express. Decided to check it out because my boyfriend and I are preparing for the arrival of our new puppy. It was a bit overwhelming with all the different types of pet food up against the walls, and I'm assuming I actually LOOKED pretty overwhelmed as someone approached me to ask if I had any questions. The sales associate who helped me was Ryan. He was very informative, knowledgeable, and helpful. He answered all my questions regarding what pet foods he recommended for puppies and why. He also explained to me that they don't sell commercialized foods in the store, and that all their foods are manufactured and sold without having to pay for advertisements, therefore all the money goes into making the food more healthy for your dog. That wasn't the first time I heard of certain foods being healthier than others, so him confirming that to me was comforting. He also informed me about veterinarians coming to the store every Saturday for discounted vaccinations, and handed me a brochure. I had already heard about some places offering this, so him mentioning it to me without me having to ask was impressive. During my short visit, I was able to gain more knowledge about what foods are preferable to buy, where to get cheap vaccinations, and more. I find it very comforting to know we have a genuinely good pet store around that has such knowledgeable and trustworthy employees. I will definitely be back soon. read more

This is a great company. All the products are couched for by the ownership. All of the employees at every location I've been to have always been pleasant and helpful, and cheerful, even. They're always very nice to me and my dog and I can always get into a chat with them about various foods or even training practices. They also host puppy training courses. I come here because they carry superior products and nothing but the best foods. I've used the washing stations once; it's a good deal, and a simple setup. I had my puppy in training courses here and can attest to their quality. My favorite thing they feature here is probably their buy 3 get 1 free policy. It applies across any group of products. So 3 toys gets you 1 free, or 3 treats gets you 1, etc. and they have a great selection of bulky sticks. I always let my dog drink some water there, and I weigh him and give him a treat. Yes, you can go on amazon and buy lots of supplies, but it is so much better to support your local pet store and business. If you have questions or need help, Pet Food Express has you answers. Recently one of my dogs passed away and I knew I needed to get a companion for my other dog Riley because she was so depressed after loosing her companion of 12 years. The customer service I received was amazing and unbeatable. One of the managers, PRECIOUS is just an incredible woman who takes the time to talk to you and answer all your questions. Precious spent over an hour with me helping me with everything from a crate, to food options, to essential oil sprays, and so much more. It's been a week since my visit but I am still blown away with how incredible she was. Everyone who works there is really wonderful, Morgan is also really sweet and helpful and took the time with my new shy puppy, Tucker, to make him comfortable and give him a treat when he came in when I came back in to get a few more supplies. The kind of customer service that Precious gave me tho was so special and genuine and you can tell she puts her heart into her job. Precious has made me a customer for life. I will no longer shop on amazon to maybe save a buck or two because the experience she made for me was so above and beyond and I am very grateful for that. Precious is so knowledgable about all the products in the store and is happy to help you in any way she can. She didn't even get bothered with the fact that I asked her over a gazillion questions and I felt like she cared so much about my situation and helping me get ready for my new family member. Pet Food Express is easily the most affordable chain pet store. However only 4 stars for this particular store because I had to go elsewhere to buy a reflective dog collar (the one they had was ruined after 2 months), and they also discontinued my dogs favorite rawhide chew bone. This particular store is not all shiney and pretty in a big warehouse like other chainey pet food stores but they have the basics and the staff is very friendly and helpful, and like I said, they have very reasonable prices. read more

The reason Pet Food Express stands out from other pet stores is that every time I walk in I am greeted within 20 seconds and asked if I need help finding anything. I love it! I have had many questions because I am a new pet owner and have learned a lot of good information from the employees in this store! They are always very knowledgeable, helpful and happy to do so. The prices at Pet Food Express are just as pricey as other per stores, HOWEVER the quality is 10x better and well worth the money. We recently moved and are new to the area so we were looking for a good self-service grooming station to bathe our very dirty thick haired sheppard. We were recommended this place. My husband took him in and was very impressed. The spot was very easy for my scaredy-cat DOG to walk up to the tub. The nozzles were easy to operate and the soap dispenser was very very convienent and the water/soap nozzel jetted the soapy goodness into my dogs stubbornly thick water-repellent coat easily. And the blow dryer was GREAT because the main bulk of it is actually build in behind a wall and just the hose sticks out....which MEANS that most of the loud scary "lets freak out the dog" noise that usually accompanies a blow dryer...is now muffled and barely noticable. Our Dog took in the blow dry process easier than he ever has before. He was nearly completely dry by the time my husband finished with him. Then we were provided with 3 towels to just finish him off. This is a major event sinch our large sheppard/CHOW mix is a nightmare to get his downy thick undercoat WET, much less soapy and then DRIED. My husband said the rest of the store seemed very pleasant and we look forward to coming here regularly for our other pet related needs. But the EXCELLENT self-service grooming station already has us HOOKED- Sooo much nicer than the Petco place we had been using in Fresno. We are so glad to have discovered Pet Food Express's grooming stations! read more

I like Pet Food Express because they only sell good quality pet food brands and are involved in the community. They often sponsor & organize adoption events and even host events at their stores to help get homeless pets adopted. What I don't like is that they charge an arm & leg for their products. I have several animals at home and could never afford to feed them by shopping at Pet Food Express. The same food (wellness) is cheaper at Petsmart. Petsmart also has a larger selection of items in general, probably because petsmart stores themselves are so much bigger. I like their dog wash station but don't like that it costs $15 a dog to bathe them yourself! For that kind of money, I would expect someone to do it for me while I waited. read more

While the prices are kind of high for dog food, they have great monthly specials/coupons and an ongoing buy-3-get-1-free on premium cat food cans. Good selection and friendly staff, today I went in and was given a free small bag of dog food because I told the staff that I was considering changing one of my dogs to a new food. So they told me to try a 10lb bag for free!!! It was almost a $20 value!!! I'm very happy to have this nearby, despite the higher prices. read more

Every time I visit this location, the staff is so helpful, discussing my dogs food needs and treat needs. They always are willing to spend lots of time. Yesterday I brought my dog in for his shots and a nail trimming and the vet staff was extremely professional and gentle with my pug who does not like to have his paws touched. The prices were great. He got his core vaccines and nail trimming, fecal analysis and heartworm blood test, all for $103. I will be back often. read more

Pet Food Express has changed a bit since I've last gone to one. I usually go to the PetVet Pet Food Supply but this is a good second place to go. They have a good assortment of higher quality pet foods (no grain, better ingredients, natural, more primal) and hence better for your pet. They are more expensive, but hey it will save on vet bills if you feed better food. Most other pet stores carry cheap garbage food that make your pets sick. The store is clean and the service is pleasant. They have a good selection of diets which I appreciate as my pets are very picky eaters and finding a good quality diet can be challenging. read more
