I really did think the groomer did a fantastic job, so if you are willing to pay a bit more than typical grooming fees you should use this service.* Absolutely terrible customer service which is a shame because the groomer himself did a great job. I filled out the questionnaire online and someone called to provide me a quote for my dog's grooming. When they called I confirmed all of his information (breed,age,weight,etc.) And they quoted me $55 plus the trip charge. Everytime I have had him groomed it has been around $55 so I thought that was good and the additional for the trip charge was worth it. When the groomer arrived he said that he had it in his appointment card that my dog was a toy poodle not a mini golden doodle but said nothing about that increasing the price. After the groom was done they had charged me $85 plus the trip charge because a golden doodle wasn't what they had written down and is more expensive to groom. I tried to explain to the customer service manager that I was quoted $55 and a $30 increase without telling me ahead of time is unreasonable because I wouldn't have agreed to an $85 price and she had nothing to say but "I'm sorry, I'm not sure what to tell you". I asked for them to go back and listen to the recorded calls in which I clearly gave them the correct information and they incorrectly quoted me and after 30 minutes of back and forth she finally offered to split the difference which I still think is unreasonable since it was $15 more than I was I was so excited about this company, I gave four of my friends their number and a glowing review. I have since recanted that review to my friends and am posting this review here. If you value your money and want a company that gives you accurate quotes, go somewhere else. read more

We will not use Pet Love again. They did a terrible job on my Siberian husky. We even paid extra for de shedding treatment. We normally use another groomer and the it takes 3 hours when my husky is blowing his coat. Pet love was finished in an hour and half and was not a good job. They did not even trim his nails. I have been using Pet Love Mobile grooming for over a year. Our groomer quit and we had to go a few months without getting groomed because they could not get us on the schedule with another groomer. They acted like it was my fault her groomer quit. We then finally got assigned another groomer and she was coming out for a few months and then one day she did not call and did not show. I called Pet Love to see where she was and they told me that she was running behind and was not able to do her scheduled appointment. I did not understand why they did not tell me this and why I had to reach out to them when they did not show up. They should have been proactive and called to tell me that she was not going to show up that day. I had rearranged my day to be there for this appointment. They sent out another groomer that day because they told me she was too behind. The groomer did not do a good job. The next month she was suppose to come out and they told me she no longer wanted to service my area and the groomer that they had assigned me did not come in so they had to reschedule me. I told them I would like the owner to call me. They told me she would and she never reached out. I called and left several messages for her and never heard from her. We rescued a sweet little English Springer Spaniel in May of 2016, he cane freshly groomed and when it was time for him to get cleaned up we took him where the Rescue coordinator took him. Little Barney got a bad report, was bitey and general unruly and they didn't want hm back. The story continued with at least two other groomers. We saw the PetLove van in our neighborhood and thought we'd give them a try. We did and we're customers for life. Miss Sheila tamed the savage beast when it came to grooming. He had clipper anxiety! After about a year of regular grooming with Miss Sheila, he now looks forward to his regular visits with Miss Sheila and he's one of the best looking Springers in the neighborhood!!! Don't use these people! I used them for a long time and it was always one thing or another with these people. It will cost you lots of money and lots of your time. They're ALWAYS late which is amazing since they give you like a 1-2 hour window. You basically waste half your day waiting for them to show up. One groomer said my dog tried to bite her and he has never bitten anyone in his life. Makes me wonder what she did to him. This last time really pissed me off! I think they changed hands and so their prices went up. I was quoted $50 for a standard schnauzer haircut (up from $40) and by the time the lady was done with my dog she had managed to rack up another $40 in miscellaneous bull treatments that I NEVER APPROVED or asked for. The bill came to $90! $50 was already a lot but they really pushed me over the edge adding treatments, like dipping, I didn't want or ask for. Especially since they did it without my permission! After taking her to a local pet groomer, to only return with a fractured leg from not properly tending to her while left on a grooming table slippery and wet, we vowed to never leave our precious one with anyone again. What a terrible experience with this mobil pet grooming service. This was our first time to try them and it will be our last. They were an hour late to start with. The office was nice to call and let me know she was running late but an hour was excessive. Then the woman who showed up was surly, unapologetic and rude. When I asked her why she was so late she blames it on the office and then just walked off and drove away! Barb in the office handled it very professionally but if this is the caliber of people they have working for them, do yourself a favor and find somewhere else. Thought I'd try mobile grooming to save my three dogs the trauma of the grooming salon... A Corgi, and two Basset Hounds. (A nice piece of business to have every month). After receiving an email quote it was a month or two before i actually made an appointment. I called and the gentleman on the phone was a dope. Had to repeat dog names, what I wanted done over and over again. Very nice girl shows up on time, and then I peeked in the van to get an idea of the set up, and it's not only filthy, but the air inside is incredibly damp/humid (think bacteria), and I'm just not feeling this is a healthy space. Decided right then that this would be a one time deal. Then within 5 minutes of meeting my dogs the girl proceeds to tell me how they once had a half Basset that jumped their fence and hung himself, but they really think the neighbor caught the dog and hung him on the fence...... And, I'm thinking how I just want to cancel this whole thing. But, I moved forward sending two of mine to van together (comfort in numbers), and saved my older girl for last. Net net, they were clean, she did a good job trimming their nails with the exception of some light bleeding on one hind nail (that can happen). I was glad to pay the bill (I think about $180 with tip) and put the experience behind us. But, what really bothers me and this can be all telling--is that no one from the company (owner, whomever) bothered to call the "new" client with three dogs to ask about the service they received, or at a minimum to thank me for the business. So, I'm afraid between the lack of good customer follow up, the doofus guy that set the appointment, and the dirty damp interior of the van they have landed themselves what appears to be another one star. read more

Horrible experience. We used their service last year with no problem. Even gave the groomer a huge tip because I was so pleased. This year we live 4 miles north and they originally said they serviced our area. Today they showed up over an hour early and left and now say they don't service this area. They said they can show up 45 minutes early or late for the appointment. I even was willing to pay the extra money for them to come up here and they blew me off. If I could hire the groomer last year independently, I totally would, but this company screwed us over after waiting 2 weeks for their service. I've never been so disappointed with a company before. My cat, Diva, was groomed by Laurel last Saturday morning, and she did such a wonderful job with her! Not only was Laurel so sweet and kind to Diva, but her lion cut looked so good! I had a bit of a time crunch because I had to be somewhere within an hour and a half of my appointment start time, and after telling this to Laurel she calmly told me it wouldn't be a problem and performed the services for Diva quick enough to get me off to my appointment on time. Diva is usually very anxious after being groomed, but was very calm afterward because Laurel did such a great job. It is difficult to find a cat groomer, let alone a good cat groomer, and I highly recommend this company to those who are pet owners! read more

I live in Austin and my mom is in Dallas. My mom has an old collie that is scared of everything and has had very bad skin issues for some time. My mom is aging also and doesn't take care of things like she should. I have been worried about her dog and called Pet Love to see if they could go and wash the dog and trim and file the nails. Mika came by this morning and was fantastic! She was patient and sweet and seemed to really understand the dog. She also noticed that the dog has a yeast infection and told my mom to bring the dog to the vet as soon as possible because he is so uncomfortable. Luckily my mom listened to Mika better than she listens to me because I live out of town and so cannot take care of her dog as much as I would like to. : ) Thank you Mika. I paid 171 dollars and a 15 dollar tip. Alittle high but they do come to your home. The groomer did a good job the problem was after she left I noticed the last dog she groomed wasn't wearing her collar. I called the office right away and got a call back hours later that the groomer said the first two dogs she did were wearing collars the last one wasn't. All three were walked sbout one hour before she came so all 3 had collars and tags. The owner of the company said look around the house I'm sure you will find it. I feel like stopping payment on the check but I will do this instead. I have used pet love many times. But will never use them again. For cost of a collar and tags 20 bucks they could have kept a customer. Now they lost one that knows alot of people with dogs. Bad customer service. read more

If you're like my husband and I, your dogs/pets are members of your family - we mistakenly trusted this company to groom our labradoodle - by the time they were finished with the botch job, she looked like a shaved down, overgrown rat - funny, because the instructions they were given was for a summer cut with a cute teddy bear face. I lodged a formal complaint and was told the groomer said the matting on my dog required her to be shaved - there was no matting on her face so this is no excuse. If they don't listen any better than this, imagine the type of "care" they also provide your dog. Unfortunately, I did not read the other reviews before using this service, so I hope this review and those left by others, will save you from the $150 +tip disaster we fell victim to. I used this company about 6-8 times for both my dogs. The cost was about $150 each time for both dogs. My dog got his neck cut too close with the clippers. I called the company as he was in a lot of discomfort to tell them I wanted a refund at the least and possibly to pay for the vet bill if I needed to take him to the vet. I sent them a photo - it was obviously from the clippers. Instead they said it was maybe a spider bite or perhaps my dog did it to himself. I would expect as a business owner, they would want to do the right thing by me. I'd already spent a reasonable amount of money with them and even told them I wanted to continue working them but then they wouldn't return my phone calls or respond to my emails. Over a $75 refund. I would not recommend using this service to anyone. The service received on Friday 4/22 for my dog Willie was completely unnecessary. The groomer arrived 20 mins late and I spent another 15 - 20 mins describing exactly how I wanted the dog to be cut as she seemed unsure of what I was asking even after I showed her pictures. This was my puppy's second time being groomed and he is still learning the whole process. While I was walking my other dog outside I could hear the groomer repeatedly yelling at my dog to "Stand up" - which gets either of them no where. The puppy was just getting more and more terrified as she continued to yell at him due to frustration. To add on upon further examination - I noticed that Willie still had 2 mats behind his ear and a few small cuts on his underside and legs. This experience has created unnecessary stress and anxiety for the puppy. I am worried he will associate his grooming experience to the experience received every single time he gets groomed. I called the company in which they did not seem to care nor did they offer a fair solution to what they created. They explained to me that next time they would send someone that was a better fit to handle my puppy. If the groomer thought she couldn't groom a puppy- I would have much rather she told me and we could reschedule with someone who could. I expected a much higher quality service and care for my dog than what was given. Again, I am very upset and disappointed with service and would not recommend this service to anyone. Today was my second time and my last time using Pet Love Mobile Grooming. I scheduled my appointment around a week ago for noon today. Over the span of 7 days, I received at least five phone calls between me and my boyfriend to confirm our appointment at NOON TODAY (my boyfriend received four on his phone alone). Not only was the repetition of phone calls bothersome (one would have been enough), fifteen minutes before the NOON appointment, I received a phone call explaining that the mobile groomer would be here at one o'clock instead. One O'clock rolls around and no groomer. By 1:30 a groomer shows up and although we SPECIFICALLY requested a female groomer because of our dogs preference of women, a male knocks on my door. Pet Love Mobile Groomer has no appreciation of time management or value in appointment. When I make an appointment, It is because I have other errands AND A JOB to tend to throughout my day. If you are looking for a groomer who will waste your time, Pet Love is the place to call. Not to mention, the van they arrive in is a hot mess! Pet hair and dirt everywhere. At least sweep the van before arriving at the next appointment. Update: the groomer was incapable of holding my dogs leash while bringing him back to my front door allowing my dog to RUN AWAY! The vans are great compared to other Mobile groomers I have used in the past.
