I live locally and only go here when I need dry dog food and use it as opportunity to walk my little baby. Otherwise I go to Per Food Express or Centinela Feed. I can attest to the owner attempting to guilt you into buying treats and other products. Fortunately I'm always able to respond with that my baby already has everything- which he does. I want to both thank and extend my deepest apologies to the pet owners who entrusted the grooming process. I can't even begin to imagine the trauma. Your reviews have saved many a fur baby and guardian the same torture. Another thanks to those who warned about expired treats- gotta go check the dog food I just bought. One of my first times here he attempted to tell me not to buy freeze dried/ frozen food because of this and that but I responded with what I already knew and he looked at me with a look of surprise and said nothing else. This is one of those places you hope changes for the better over the years. It hasn't. This overstuffed hole in the wall lures you in with unbeatable deals, for poor quality products. I've had food delivered from here, only to find it full of weevils. Every time I've been here it's been stuffy and smelly beyond a safe level. The buildup of ammonia from pet urine is not safe to inhale (especially for us asthmatics). This could be remedied by getting better ventilation and cleaning up animal waste within the hour that it's eliminated. The various cats, dogs, and birds I've encountered here look worse than the homeless animals I care for at the shelter. These aren't rescues, they're puppy mill dogs. The absurd prices for them is a telltale sign. Rescues get discounts. They get free spay/neuter. Their shots aren't costly. The animals here need to be rescued from their cramped filthy cages. Don't even think about exploring their upstairs area. If you can make it through the horrid smell of animal waste, you'll tear up at the neglected little fuzzkins. I am surprised, that "pet partners" still in business. After what happened to my dogs after a horrible grooming job, both my dogs are still not hundred percent. They were shaved bloody from their eyes to their feet . I couldn't take them in for another groomer because of this memory . They even shake when the go to a vet.. I'm not sure anybody in this town cares more about animal welfare than the folks running this shop. They have excellent alternative options for pet food if you're concerned about your pet's diet and health. The shop owner especially will go out of his way to work with you on appropriate sized toys and training goods for your pet. I've also gotten my dog groomed there before and they do a terrific job, but the last time my dog had his nails clipped it didn't seem to be as good as expected given their prior performance. I have been frequenting this establishment for over 16 years, I have bought fish, birds, dog food, bird food, fish food, dog/cat toys, cages... many items, many times mostly because is conveniently located a few blocks away from me but the owner Albert has always beings a disgruntled, rude and dodgy man. Today the upstairs was closed and I asked him if he could open it for me to buy some fish food, he said yes and he disappeared back inside the store. I waited patiently outside and I noticed he was re-stocking the shelves. I asked the kind lady that has also worked there for many years and she finally got the keys from him and opened the upstairs door. I found the fish food I was looking for but it's now $5.99 versus $3.59 from 3 months ago. Highway robbery! This is the last time I put up with this man shitty attitude. We've been bringing our two small dogs to PP for years and have always left happy. They are quick and one of the few places accepting walk-ins for nail trims. The owner is such a animal lover! He always gives my babe special attention. I get my pet food and treats here regularly. Their groomer is awesome too! Its like $30 but a bath nails ears anal glands. And they trim up his face and pelvic area. Just got my baby shaved all the way down and incredible job. Hes a wiry haired brussels griffon. I've had issues with groomers doing a choppy job and worse but not here. A completely smooth job and my dog wasn't super anxious afterwards like I've seen him at other places. I'm honestly shocked that this place has any good reviewed at all. I can only speak on my personal experience but the bottom line is he will scam you out of money. He always says "we have the best prices" but a bag of treats I bought was $8 more from his store than if I had gone to another place to buy it. I don't appreciate people who claim they have the best prices just to sit there and charge you WAY more than necessary. I've been coming here for at least a year an I took my babies in today for a wash an dry only when asked for the price upon picking them he told me $187 for 2 small Pomeranians ! This guy is only interested in selling pet products. He harmed my cat while clipping her nails. Then he tried to blame it on her. I had been talking her there for 9 months then suddenly she became aggressive with her upon her usually trim. This was strange because she's always sweet. The 10 th visit he didn't want to take her out of her pet stroller buggy not to the back, insisted she stay in and was afraid to hold her. Very stand-offish. The 11tg visit he again was afraid. This time her asked that I hold her by the scruff . He was vet afraid to touch her. He got down to her last nail... NERVOUS AS HECK. And as I am holding her she is low belly growling but secured. HE GRAB HER BY THE Scruff over my hand AND PULLED SO HARD HER EYES BULDGED AND SHE YELPED. IT FELTED LIKE he used that last chance to get back at her out to harm her out of some personal revenge. He harmed her on purpose!!!!! There was no need to even do that as I was holding her securely...And that was her last nail to be cut. So he basically took focus off that to deliberately to harm my animal that he was so afraid of. I told him you harmed her in the past and that why for the last couple times you've been afraid of her. I asked what did you do to her did you grab her like you just did in front of my face? I just witness you harm my animal for no reason. He said if I harmed her she would be bleeding. I said no she didn't want you too touch her so this happen before her trims over the last few months. Then I began to think back. That last time before her aggression toward him he had brought her back out from the back with a towel over her face. The women he had working there had taken her in the back unleaded and out of her carriage no problem. So I realized them something happened in the back that day. But this guy tried to blame my animal even though he showed signs of fear of her over the 3 months. He knew at that point I was in to him. He hurt my baby!!! And still wanted the money but not take responsibility for harming my baby. He then sarcastically said $5, but it should be$100. I said you caused the problem and now you're saying it's not worth it. And you h hurt her to make sure I never come back as you made sure if that by hurting her in purpose and getting revenge all while trying to be slick about it all. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE. I do not recommend Pet Partners. The are over-priced and don't vest the speciality treats they sell very well as I've had to take my dog to the vet twice after injgesting some of the brands. Most importantly, they ALWAYS MAKE MY DOGS BLEED when they trim the nails. my dogs hate going there and now I'm going to discontinue going after this last trip. I took my dogs to get their nails trimmed and when I got older male in the house I noticed me was bleeding significantly all over the floor from his hind paw. I had to take my dog back in to. have Albert look at it cause it wouldn't stop bleeding. He took my dog back and told me it was my fault cause the dogs nails were too long when I brought him in. Called to get my furbaby a last minute haircut before leaving for a month. The owner was outstanding. He recommended a great dog food for my baby. Why is this establishment still able to operate, I'm looking through the photos & apparently I'm not the only dog owner who has had issues with cuts on my dog after a grooming session. My fur baby has not been the same since he visited this establishment. Wookie is a mess, he's hiding, won't play- no barking- Wookie has been laying in one spot for the last couple of days. Wookie was sent home with four cuts on his body- two bleeding. After speaking with Albert who I believe to be the owner- Alberts words to me were "it happens" I will no longer use this establishment.
