    This review pertains to the grooming salon experience over the past year, as well as the general lack of cleanliness of the store. The store floor could use a good sweep and mopping due to the numerous staining and dog hair everywhere. I'm not sure who is responsible for cleaning this facility but something ought to be done. The bathroom looks horrendous no matter when I go. It's absolutely disgusting. The floor has tissues and urine stains. The big spider and the cobweb has been there for months. The sink is abominable. The shoes shouldn't feel sticky or wet on the floor. The grooming salon needs improvement. I have chosen to finally write a review about my experiences as I don't plan on returning again. My dogs hates getting their nails trimmed especially due the recent incident. Supposedly, one of my dogs who is known to be easy to nail trim was being wiggly and Sara lost control of the grinding tool. I heard my dog make blood curdling screams I have never heard her make in the nearly 7 years I have owned her. I also heard the groomer berating my rescue dog. It also sounded like she had actually slapped my dog behind the closed door. I had to look for a store employee and beg for my dog to be returned. He didn't believe me when I told him what was going on and why I wanted him to go retrieve my dog. There were other employees working at the grooming salon too. The employee who is apparently the manager there gaslighted me with Sara. I was told that everything sounds scary when you can't see what's happening behind closed doors. My dogs returned to me shuddering and with missing fur on her paw pads. I felt so guilty for putting her through such hell. This was one of the most horrifying nail trim visits I have had there and I am still appalled after a whole month since the incident. I have also had my appointments with Sara last minute canceled at least 4 times this year while I was driving in traffic on the way there. Twice because the register wouldn't be open because it's too early and twice because she's sick or simply unavailable. Or that she had to leave early for the day. I called back the salon but nobody answered to let me reschedule or cancel. It's hard to reschedule on the app when driving in bad 405 traffic. Why even offer appointments early in the morning for nail trims if the store itself isn't open and requires checking out from the front of the store? The lack of apologies and nonchalant nature of cancelling or showing up late so often shouldn't have become such a daily occurrence. The appointments also won't start on time a lot of times especially if it's in the morning. Afternoons slots aren't much better. There will be no apologies given either. Not to me, or customers patiently waiting before or after me. We just all stand there awkwardly waiting. So keep that in mind if you like your stuff to be done on-time or have other places to go. Lastly, I don't recommend getting your dog bathed here due to both of my dogs having ear infections shortly afterwards. Something that the hounds are prone to if their ears aren't properly cleaned or dried. I used to prefer having my dogs get groomed here due to the convenience from work to the salon location. Best to steer away for the safety and comfort of your pet. We as owners must advocate for our pet safety because we are their lifelines and they cannot call us or verbally convey what's happening.

On May 21, I received an email that their location had closed THE DAY BEFORE and that Long Beach and Lakewood would honor up to 5 class credits. Wtf. I went back to all my previous emails from Zoom Room HB and there was not a single announcement that they will be closing down. We immediately emailed the business requesting a refund for the unused credits and it has been over a week and we kept being told by Vince to be patient. My partner asked for a timeline, and in which Vince had requested another 5 days. I had filed a dispute for a portion of refund with my credit card company before they completely disappear. As someone in property management, the business owner would have at least known 60 days in advance (maybe even earlier depending on their lease contract) that they will not be renewing. They decided to wait until the day after closure to announce they are permanently closed to not deal with in person questions from their customers.

Our dog was working with Bryan who gave updates on the days promised with no delays. We have a husky who is a bit skittish and of course a tad stubborn. When we watched her videos, she clearly was getting the training down well! Once we came home and picked her up, Bryan made it easy to understand the next steps and has consistently followed up with us to check how she's doing. It was suggested to train with an electric collar. My partner and I were considering it ourselves but didn't know how to use it properly. The SMS team have you try it - I wouldn't try something like this on my dog without knowing what it feels like a promise you, it's not at all painful. Since using it, our dog has followed commands and even does things naturally like being right at our side while walking or sitting and staying. We've only just begun and it's been great results. We hope that this keeps up and that once we ween off it, she'll be an even better dog. Two last things. They also understand a dog is a dog, her release command is literally "go play". Bryan helped train to lifestyle and our dogs specific needs. Secondly, they coordinated trainings on holidays - we flew in Christmas Eve morning and they easily accommodated us in such great manner.

The location was completely closed. I finally called the office myself, and Sean told me the trainer would be there in 5 minutes. There was no apology for the delay, even though they were clearly aware the trainer was running late. After waiting even longer, Ryan, the trainer, finally called and said he would arrive in another 15 minutes. At that point, he would have been over 30 minutes late for our appointment. Being late occasionally happens, but the lack of communication and professionalism was frustrating. A simple phone call ahead of time and a sincere apology would have gone a long way. Unfortunately, this was not a great first impression, and it made us question the level of service we could expect moving forward.

Timber has learned so much through the puppy program, all day school, grad prep school, puppy and manner classes, canine good citizen, agility and so much more. This community is one of a kind. My dog and I have made so many strong friendships and have created so many memories that I hold close to my heart. We feel very fortunate for all the amazing skills they have taught us and instilled in our dog Phil Collins. We contribute Phil's good manners both on and off leash to the training with Tact K9. We have been working with Tact K9 since our dog was 16 weeks old. We initially sought out training with Tact K9 for Therapy certification and through their program our dog was certified at a service working level since he took to their method of positive reinforcement so well. He became my psychological service dog aiding me through anxiety. They are incredibly knowledgeable, patient, gentle but also firm when it matters. They have a gift a forming an incredible bond with their clients and treat them with such care and respect as if they are one of their own dogs. This not a board and train because Tact K9 believes that it's about teaching both the human and the dog together which was very important to us since we wanted our dog to do therapy work. He also received his AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate. Their park sessions are informative and fun and they also love bringing their community together with fun themed walks :) We also love that they are giving back to the community through their Blue Spec K9 Foundation where they are specifically training service dogs. We have volunteered with their nonprofit by aiding in socializing the dogs in the program. It was so rewarding and also fun! We are honored to be a part of the Tact K9 crew!

Russ, Martina, and Brandon were patient, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain what they were doing and why. We left with a better understanding of our puppy and tools we can continue using at home. Training is a process, but we're excited to keep working with them and watch Donut grow. When I asked why such a good dog would go to boot camp, Vladae responded with, "Same reason that the smartest kids go to university, to become all they can be and hone their skills."
