Very upset! I left my Terrier Pete with the groomer at 930am with an older short lady with a long braid and she said he would be ready in 2 and a half hours, I returned at 12pm and Pete wasn't ready and that it would be another hour. Not too happy about that. Then at 2pm we were still waiting on a phone call to go pick him up 2 hours later. I myself had to call and ask when He would be ready. When finally picking him up not only did we have to wait AGAIN but he did not have to the hair cut I asked for and their was parts that were still very long and the groomer didn't even come out to apologize for the entire wait! Worst experience ever and I will never return again!! read more

Was in store about 30 minutes prior to closing last night and I know how much that isn't fun for employees. I wanted to sincerely thank Angelita for going above and beyond to help us with our bacteria in our fish tank. She was very professional and guided us through the correct steps in getting our fish tank back to 100%. Even telling us to bring in a water sample and she can test it to help know for sure what is going on. Thank you for the awesome service!! After adopting a new dog I came in kind of overwhelmed and confused with a lot of questions. I was met by Jade and Chris who went so over and beyond to make sure my new fur baby not only had everything she needed but educated me and got us signed up for obedience class. I went to this Petco recently to look at small rodents. I walked in to find a semi-friendly staff, but the animals were kept in disgusting conditions. The mice were sickly and their stool had blood in it. There was even a dead mouse in the cage and the staff wasn't even aware of it. I alerted the staff right away and the woman seemed not the least bit disturbed by the state of the health of the animals. Only mumbling, "What the hell did they send me?". read more

Very friendly and accommodating staff. I came here to buy a new tank for my turtles (woohoo for the $1/gallon sale they were having) and one of the employees helped me pick out a tank after asking for some info about the age/size of my turtles. Then he helped me to carry the tank into a shopping cart and even over to my car because it was a 40gal tank. Other than my tank purchase, whenever I come here, I'm always helped out right away. Whether it's buying some feeder fish or just looking for some tips and information, the employees are very helpful. read more

The store is pretty clean, friendly staff, and a decent selection (could be better). I was able to find our specialty dog food here, but they do not carry everything we need so I don't come here often. When I do come here, there is one thing I continually notice and that is hard to locate staff! I sometimes wonder if anyone would notice if we just threw money on the register, bagged our items, and left. read more

Really bad service and staff. They are nice until you have to return something. You get that vibe like the return is coming out of the employees pockets. I'll stick to Pet smart because they always provide great service regardless of if you are purchasing, returning or just asking questions. Prices are cheaper as well! read more

I can't say they're bad-they never injured or did a poor job on my dogs, but they are not great. The prices are fair, tipping is awkward as you have to pay at the register then get your dogs (or dog if you have less-I have 3) and in my case there are often several people who work on my dogs. The issue is more of time. I have dropped my dogs off many times and been told: 4 hours, only to be waiting well into the early evening. The biggest plus is it is "budget" grooming (not so much budget as it is reasonably priced) the cons are the tipping issue (I personally don't carry cash and find the tipping issue awkward unless I pre-plan) and inconsistency of time it takes. read more

Excellent service. The groomer trimmed her paws the best they have every been. She had great recommendations about what I products I should have my dog bathed with since my golden retriever was having allergy problems. My retriever looked great, they really took time to get off the hair as she was shedding. Thanks! read more

I like this petco. They always have what I am looking for. Only complaint is that there are always a lot of those tiny little moths/nats/flying bug things in there. Always flying around at my head trying to get stuck in my hair. No sir. read more

A good 'all-around' pet supply store. The staff is friendly & fairly knowledgeable in their areas. The store is clean and inviting, with a large selection for just about every pet, be they cat, dog, bird, etc. They also have frequent specials throughout the whole store. A great place to have nearby if you own pets. read more

The staff here are awesome, Jason, the puppy trainer is phenomenal! My only complaint is a new policy they implemented, once a puppy completes a level of training they put up their picture as recognition, recently the policy was changes and they no longer display the pictures. On a retail standpoint it makes no sense because it's advertising to people that their dogs can also accomplish the training, and from my point of view being a person who put my puppy through the two levels of training it's disheartening not to see his picture on the wall! We spent a lot of time and energy in the store working with the great staff and it's nice to walk in and see his picture along with all the other great animals that graduated training. I give this new policy zero stars, but the staff five stars read more

Dont bring your dog here because that girl Aaron is not gentle to my dog the first time she pulled my dogs hand and i said dont do that youre gonna hurt her and she said oh because your dog keeps on moving And then the second time she said that my dog keeps biting her and i know my dog she doesnt bite shes a shih tzu she moves a lot but never bite and thats the reason why she didnt clean her ear but i still paid for it and i said she maybe hurt thats why and she almost fell with leash on her or maybe she already did fell i dont know , i ask them too why my dogs eyes is so red and she said because shes crying and stress out and i waited more than few hours and still red and all of a sudden i found out that they put drops in her eyes without my permission and i dont know why they put drops in her eye . I dropped my yorkiepoo off for her visit to the groomers. When I made the appointment I was told it would take about 2 hours... After 4 hours I had yet to receive a call that she was ready. So I called the groomers said 30 more mins. I then went to the store 20 mins later and had to wait for an additional 20 mins by this time your groomers had my dog for 5 hours! I went to pay while I was waiting and was charged 2 dematting fees that I had never been charge before in the previous 10 visits. Lastly, once I saw my dog I was very upset they cut her like a lion with a poofy tail. She looks more like a yorkie than a poodle so the cut on her looks disastrous. Her face was cut completely wrong and she looked horrible! I demanded they release my dog at 5 hours and they said they were not done. My dog was crying and trying to pull herself away from the groomers as much as she could while the groomer held on to her paw. At this point I was so upset they would not give me my dog I went back to my car and asked my husband to go get my dog. Once he was in there he still had to wait 5 mins for them to release our dog to us (This is after we paid mind you). I should also say that while I was waiting for my dog another groomer left a dog on the table attached to the table and left the room. The dog then jumped off the table and proceeded to "hang" Thank GOD there was another groomer (my groomer) in the room and she was able to quickly grab the dog and unhook him all the while leaving my dog unattended on the table. Ill let you know if my dog were the one to "hang" things would of been handled quite differently. When we go home my dog drank her ENTIRE water bowl and then some after I refilled it. Needless to say I will NEVER be back and it is a shame as all 3 of my dogs USE to go there. read more

Called on a Thursday to schedule an appointment. Was able to get in monday am. I asked the girl booking the appt if I needed to bring anything with me. She said nope see you monday. Upon arriving I was told I needed new vaccine records which of course I didnt bring with me as I was told I didnt anything. Not 100% on the vet office name as my husband takes the dogs to the vet I was told to hold on. A manager came to the front to tell me she doesnt know why the employee told me I didnt need anything and that is wasnt her fault. Im sorry but if your employee tells a customer the wrong information it is you as the managers fault as your employees arent properly trained. She was rude and will never be back to a petco location. I will stick with my local groomer we usually use but in a pinch because our normal groomer was booked for a month out. Which makes since being they are amazing. read more

Whoever hired the staff that was working Valentine's Day around 7pm should be embarrassed. The only reason the review gets one star is because the manager was there and attempted to helping me find something for my dogs issue. I was walking the aisles looking for pumpkin for my dogs upset stomach. There was pee all down one of the aisles and my dog stepped in it, so I went and told a bigger guy with shoulder length dark hair. He could have cared less. I asked him if he knew if they had any pumpkin and when he clearly had no idea what I was talking about I asked him if someone else was working who I could ask. He replied "I don't think so". What? Lol. So I said "there's nobody else working?" And he was like well there's one girl, and my manager. Oh ok. Thanks for the help. I walked up to the register and asked the girl standing there doing nothing if she knew if they had any pumpkin. She said "you mean like a pumpkin?" Lol again. No girl. Where's the manager. Luckily she was working and recommended pedialyte and had to tell the boy again after I told her that they had pee all over the floor and to go clean it up. Disgusting. I walked out and the employee at the front watched me walk out, no goodbye, no good luck, nothing. I'm not sure who hired these employees of the year but whoever did needs to start drug testing and do some kind of general customer service training. I don't expect them to be able to answer every question but find someone who might know. Next time I'll drive the extra 10 minutes to Petsmart on Rainbow or Trop. read more

I made an appointment for my boxer to be groomed here. When I called on a Monday to book the appointment for Wednesday, the groomer asked if my dog's shots were up to date. I said I wasn't sure, but I could call and find out. She said so problem - she would call for me, and asked for my vet's number. She said if they were not, she would call me back and let me know; otherwise bring her in on Wednesday. She never called, so on Wednesday morning my daughter brought my dog in for grooming and was told by the SAME girl who - 1) booked the appointment and 2) told me she would call if there was a problem - that they could not groom my dog because her shots were not up to date. Not not only did she never call to let me know that she couldn't groom my dog, but then she tried to tell me that it must have been someone else who told me that! They should not offer to call the vet if they aren't going to let us know not to bring out dog in. I could have called and saved everyone the trouble. I will never book here again. I would rather drive clear out to the NorthWest to my regular, PROFESSIONAL groomer, who only works Sundays and Mondays, than try and rebook with these people. At least the hassle of driving out to the Northwest is worth it, as opposed to the hassle of scheduling here, even though its five minutes from my house. read more
