Peter Pan has been our go-to diner for more than 10 years. They have great breakfasts and breakfast specials, their burgers are fantastic, and the meals are good values. Love it here! The prixe fixe menu is such a good deal, appetizer, soup or salad, entree, and dessert all ranging from $10-$15. The place is clean, always busy, fast service, great food. Just ok. Came here on St. Patrick's day for some homemade Corned beef and cabbage. The plate totally lack ed flavor and the corned beef was more like deli meat. Skimpy portions, the potato and cabbage barely had any flavor. The BBQ chicken sandwich was just ok. Nothing super special or exciting about this place. The desserts and seven layer mini desserts looked really good but we passed. Not in our neck of the woods so I doubt I'd return. read more

I have come here twice since COVID and now both times seen people in the kitchen and behind the counter without masks on. There are windows on the kitchen door I can see people in there without them. I also work at a diner and it's not hard to just wear a mask for your shift!! Also why do they turn their phones off? Again, I work at a diner. We get a ton of take out orders online and on the phone so I get that it's overwhelming. But to not answer the phone at all? That's insane! If anything they should turn off the online orders for a while. On my lunch break me and a co worker stopped at "The first diner on Long Island" for a good meal. We were greeted by an extremely rude waitress that sat us at our table. Long story short, our waitress walked by us AT LEAST 10 times and didn't even acknowledge us. We sat there for 30 MINUTES without having our order taken. So we decided to leave and go to Chipotle which is 5 minutes down the road, it's way better and cheaper! Comfort food in a clean, quaint atmosphere. I ordered The Siciliano but with a veggie burger as I'm a vegetarian. Truthfully - I could have done without the veggie patty and eaten the rest as a sandwich or panini, the toppings were delicious! Spinach, provolone and tomato red onion bruschetta. I subbed out the fries for onion rings and they were soooo perfect, hot and crispy. Prices are fair and staff is friendly. An easy choice for late night munchies or when you want simple, fresh, non-fussy food. I wouldn't call it a date place but definitely good for working lunch or Sunday dinner with the kids. read more

This is my favorite diner on long Island. Went their for lunch on Fri.The host sat me down which later I found out was the owner. I ordered the seafood bisque which was creamey an tasted like seafood it was delicious. I ordered the Stewed beef w/ carrots an potatoes in a mild brown sauce. The beef was cut evenly as were the carrots an potatoes. The beef was evenly cooked and tasted like a good cut, almost melted in your mouth. The carrots were sweet fresh an cooked perfectly. The sauce was deliciousy made to perfection.The desert came with the meal jello or rice pudding The breads are made fresh in house and were hot and were good for sopping up the plate. First time on a recommendation from a neighbor and for a diner I found the food and service really good. Coffee was good especially by diner standards of not being mud actually enjoyed our cup. The breakfast here was delicious. The staff was very nice to us. The atmosphere was pleasant. I was a bit shocked there was R&B music playing while we ate. I thought that was cool. Been coming here for 50 years! Still awesome. Now we have food delivered. Anyone who gets deliveries knows is a hit or miss with hot food. Peter pan is on point! Ok. I am not a fan of Long Island diners... I'm from queens and we do diners right! Kicking and screaming I dined at Peter Pan with my mom. We sat by the counter... Our waitress was a bit dizzy and helpless- spent more time talking to workers and about her marriage to the other dinners. The food- I ordered a BLT with Avocado- and a garden salad. My mom had a cheese melt with fries. As I suspected, call me Miss. Cleo, my BLT/avocado was missing bacon. My waitress was of course too busy chatting to workers, but the waitress working behind the counter sprang into action and quickly and I mean flash moving, corrected and bacon arrived!!! This is a dinner that I grew up with. I spent many sunday mornings there as a young girl with my grandparents. So I have very fond memories of this place. I haven't been there in years. Now with children of my own - going there was not a disappointment at all. The food is average prices for diners. Most important it has history, charm and great people. The host greats you immediately and makes you feel right at home. They are all so polite and helpful. The food is delicious. They have a lot of average diner foods but the food that makes them stand out from the rest is their Turkey dinner wrap and their Peter Pan Panni. They are both out of this world - delicious. My husband in particular love the turkey wrap. It has every traditional thanksgiving food wrapped up in one (even the cranberry sauce which according to him makes the whole thing work so well). Very nice , clean diner. Easy access from the highway. Went at 630 on a Monday and we were seated right away. Waiter was attentive . Food was slightly above average for a diner , I got the key west chicken it was delicious, I got it with a side of Brussels sprouts those weren't good at all , they didn't season them. Good Day , Everyone, I went to the Peter Pan diner this morning in off Sunrise Highway . been there previously ,months back The place is well located, have never been disappointed. So here I am today . Sat at the counter, generally faster service. I kept breakfast simple , 2 eggs scrambled sausage, well , home fries well. Rye toast well done , some extra butter. like ordering egg meals at Diners , you receive a variety of different Tastes. .. home fries, sausage, bacon, toast, eggs. It's a great meal to evaluate a restaurant. The meal came out very quickly , 6 minutes. coffee was at the table with in a minute , coffee was really good , fresh ,love good coffee keep the refills coming. The meal was presented beautifully (see photo ) sausage was well done as requested .however, was warm. Not hot .. like the rest of the meal , no big deal. I mentioned the sausage to a young lady , she immediately rectified the problem .. the sausage was returned to the plate, piping hot in 2 minutes.WOW. Everything else about the breakfast was just fine , eggs seem fresh, full of flavor . Home fries had small amounts of onion and pepper in them (properly cooked) to enhance the flavor. The home fries were also well done the way I like them .. That is ... The home fries with some shortening was put on the HOT grill and allowed to get nice and Crispy. The first coffee refill I had to ask for, then the refills came plentifully after that. (Good coffee). Took a a few photographs ...
