Peters is absolutely one of, if not my favorite, pizza places in Broward. Their Grandmas Pie is incredible and they have an excellent selection of specialty pizzas. I'm a firm believer that the crust makes or breaks a pizza and Peter's is truly top notch. Every time I have visited the service has been above and beyond. The restaurant very clean and inviting. You get hit with a wonderful aroma as soon as you walk in the door. The indoor seating area is pretty small but has a few tables large enough to seat parties of 6. I wouldn't expect to fit larger parties at one table. There is also some limited outdoor seating if you prefer that. read more

Correct amount of sauce and seasoning. This was my favorite sliced at Peter's. The Margherita slice my wife tried was the right amount of thin crust for this pizza slice. The restaurant had a nice pizza shop vibe with tables and a counter area for one person to have a quick slice. Inside the restaurant you can see inside the dough room where they hand make their pizza dough. Well we finally found our new home for pizza. We've been searching and searching and searching. Huge pizza lovers right here! We've literally tried every pizza place in Sourh Florida lol. Maybe not all but most. We heard about Peter's Pizzeria new restaurant opening on federal in pompano. We finally made it and just WOWWWW is all I can say. The only time I've ever seen a Chicken roll (kind of like Stromboli) is in New York. You walk in and they have a huge variety of pizzas and other New York/Italian made treats! From rice balls, Garlic knots, speciality pizzas, desserts! We will DEFINITELY be one of their many regulars! This is the place I've been on search for since I've been to New York. The pizza dough (my favorite part) is so light thin and crisp. THE SAUCE omg best I think I've ever had on a pie. Very light fresh taste, NOT sweet but has a nice hint of basil. My son was dipping his pizza into the sauce that came with the rice balls. Everything was fantastic! Let's not forget to mention the service! Hard working employees who made sure everything was on point even during their busiest lunch hour. There wasn't a table available to sit down but we noticed they had a bar with seats in the back where you can sit. I'm actually very happy we did because we were able to watch some men make the dough from scratch as we ate our food! The staff are courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and have a passion for their product and their customers. We ordered single slices of a number of their specialty pies to try them out. We got a Buffalo chicken slice, cheese slice, chicken parm slice, and meat lovers slice. We also got a fried ravioli. The taste is impeccable. I was fortunate enough to get a sneak peek at Peter's Pizzeria. Currently they have a boca spot at 897 E palmetto. The mother ship is opening Thursday at 11 am located at 1166 N federal hway in pompano. This review is about the Pompano location. The place looks great. The brick wall is from bricks taken from Brooklyn (that's actually true). 3 large tables seating 6 each. 4 bar seats. A huge pizza window to choose from whatever is being made. Full kitchen and baking/dough/dessert prep area. This place is ready to rock. Mini garlic rolls terrific taste. Garlic but not too much. Cooked perfectly. Crunchy outside soft inside. The meatballs looked unreal (I don't eat meat). First slice was Sicilian. Very good. The cheese was nice and salty. Crust was great. Cooked perfectly. Solid cheese pull on separation. Next was grandma pie. Nice and thin but still crunchy. I loved this slice and find this to be more preferred for the sauce balance vs Sicilian. It's also 75% less dough so I can eat various corners and middle slices. The seasoning is good and this is a place where ingredients make all of the difference. Next was the best. A vodka sauce based slice with thinly sliced eggplant with dollops of stracciatella. There were audible gasps from multiple people when we took bites. This is a slice which may require sitting down to eat. The crust was perfect. Maybe a little sourdough flavor? Fully crunchy start to finish without being overdone. I could have eaten 8 slices of this. One of the best I have had. Any pizza. Any slice. I have been to nearly every elite pizza place on any list in NY/NJ/CT and this is up there. He then brought out a chicken cutlet sandwich with vodka sauce burrata and a homemade semolina seeded roll. I considered eating meat for this. Again audible gasps from people. Peter's mom Camille just whipped up a tiramisu which looked as good as any you have seen. Then just to spike the football he previewed a sauce which was a truffle cream sauce. Real truffles. Marscapone. Just one spoonful triggered people to suggest making it into a gelato. You could put this sauce on a shoe and you'd eat the shoe. Again just to test it out he brought out a hot honey truffle wing concoction. They smelled so good. I find for the most part that Florida lacks good, consistent pizza and I think because it's very easy to make a generic run of the mill mostly tasteless joyless pizza and people will be fine with it because the theory of any pizza is good pizza tends to prevail. This is simply another level of effort that separates this place from every pizza place I've had in Florida other than maybe Miami slice. It's just a different level. the ingredients come through in the taste and the combinations that are going to come out of this place I think are going to make it a true destination for people who love Pizza and love good food and I genuinely believe Peter will stand by itself in the area. I chose 3 squared & warmed them at home. *Grandma (thin crust, baked in cast iron pan with san marzano tomatoes & fresh mozzarella) perfect ratio of sturdy crust to blend of acidic/zesty sauce and cheese. *Sicilian (Thick like Focaccia with cooked red sauce & shredded mozzarella) *L&B (upsidedown Sicilian) I prefer the thicker pizza's (not as a taste profile as all 3 were savory and sharp), but on texture...dense and cooked thru crust.
