Amazing food. Drove down from Appleton to meet a friend. I had the Prime Rib sandwich. I added mushrooms and onions. This sandwich melted in my mouth. Not to mention the huge serving of cheese curds. I would definitely come back to this local small bar. read more

Chose this place for lunch based on Yelp reviews. It's a bar off on a side street. Sit at a table and you'll find out there's no waitstaff (read the paper on the table!). Best bar food around. Featured garage themed menu, like weather strips, lug nuts and hub caps instead of burgers, chicken tenders or cheese curbs. Staff is fun and engaging. Try shaking dice to see who buys a round of shots, if that's your thing. Pretty standard bar with limited seating at times, no room for a pool table. But has a porch area out back and James Dean photos in the women's bathroom. Full bar, no frilly drinks def try the food. It's all pretty good and you can see it being cooked on the small grill behind the bar. read more

This is easily a top pick for anyone in Oshkosh. It's got great food, in particular their burgers, fries, and cheese curds. Of course that's no shock given most of the food you find here in Wisconsin, but this food is not only great tasting but cheap too. Much cheaper than you can find many other places in town! I can't recommend it enough if you need a pleasant lunch or dinner. If your eating in, you can expect to be treated very fairly as its got a particular "chill vibe" to it and the staff are all friendly as well, if your taking it out, you can expect a relatively short wait and hot food as its all made to order for you. I discovered Pete's a few years ago and I'm impressed every time I stop in. Give it a shot. You won't regret it. read more

I have been here on weekdays as well as the evenings and the same excellent food and prices prevail. I like the unassuming attitude of the bartenders. Don't sit at a table and expect a hovering waitstaff! Be forward and go to the bar when you think your order is ready, hey, it's a dive and that's fine. The crowds are not too rowdy. Friendly atmosphere and great food!!! Doesn't look like much from the outside but inside is some of the beat food in Oshkosh. I had the Prime Rib sandwich. It is only a sandwich by name. Steak fell apart. Delicious doesn't even begin to describe it. Someone had the grilled chicken wrap and it was just as appetizing. Two beers, two sandwiches and one shared fry and my bill was barely $20. Wl definitely be back next time I am in town!!! Make this a must stop every time you are near. My main complaint is about the staff. The blonde waitress likes to short change!!! Happened on both visits in the last two months. The first time I handed her a $20 and realized I had gotten back change for a $10 when it came time for the next round. I assumed it was an honest mistake and half my fault for not paying attention anyway. The second time it happened, she did it to my husband. I didn't warn him, (again, thinking it was an honest mistake the first time). Same exact scenario.... handed her a $20, got change for a $10, and didn't realize it until it was time for the next round. Other than that, it's a nice little place. I only gave it one star so you'd read this review and keep an eye on you're cash. (And you open tabs!!! I doubt she's closing out tabs correctly either!!!) they have good bar food.rather large portions for apps like the mini corn dogs. it's an open grill right at the bar so that's fun. they have fun decorations for holidays. However the only downfall is if your not a regular they don't really engage with you. it's apparently too hard to bring the food out to you. they call at you like a dog (unless your a regular than they'll hand out the food) and some schmuck ruined me and my girlfriends dinner and ended up almost punching said schmuck in the face. when the bar tender came to check out the situation he had the other guys back and knew each other by name. so we left. that was the second time we were there. I'd say unless you like fighting I wouldn't bother with the place. overall not that great. it's regular bar food. read more

My husband and I were in town for Airventure, looking for good food at rationale prices with not much of a wait. We decided on Pete's based on other Yelp reviews, and boy, were they right! It's a dark neighborhood bar with a few tables. Figure out what you want and tell the Barnet, who'll let you know when it's ready. We got an order of cheese curds to share and it was the biggest portion I've ever seen for $5. My husband got the bucking bronco, a burger with bacon, pulled pork, onions, and jalapeños. He loved it. I got the prime rib sandwich, also excellent. We would definitely go again. read more

Small neighborhood 'dive' bar. Guessing 50-60 seats max. Run with one bartender and 1 bartender/grill master. Bartender was excellent! She was flying up n down the bar and never missed a thing. The locals love it and i can see why. Lots of wonderful atmosphere, good beer selection and GREAT TASTING burgers! Definately worth the wait while they were cooked right behind the bar. read more
