Was in the north shore today so I decided I could go for a roast beef sandwich and wanted to support local so I just plugged in roast beef in the GPS on the way back home to see what came up. I ordered the French fries based on the reviews and a large roast beef sandwich with sauce and cheese. The fries were nice and crispy and not soggy or greasy, very impressive. They aren't anything special like crinkle or curly but the execution was spot on. The roast beef sandwich was packed with meat and sauce. I wasn't able to eat it right away so I can't comment on the bun, but now I regret not eating it on the spot. I'd def give it another shot and be sure to dine in. 2020 Pandemic Era Review In this pandemic world, we do things that we have never done before. We learn the proper way to take off a pair of disposable gloves. We jump onto zoom calls to get together with friends or for trainings that would have in the past been in person. We Google Hangout with family and friends with young children for some social interaction. When we would previously cook and tote a meal over, or pick up something enroute, now, to better socially distance, we might be getting a bit more familiar with delivery apps. Although I did try to find a place that had their own delivery service to cut out the middle man and in so doing, to help out the business a bit, delivery service areas differ and it was just easier to place my order with Pete's Roast Beef and Pizza via GrubHub this time. Speaking of which, if you are trying to reach a business directly from Yelp, and you are presented with an option of calling "Delivery or Takeout" or "General Questions" then always pick "General Questions" or otherwise you'll get redirected to GrubHub. I placed my order in the morning for 12:30pm delivery. Pete's started on the order almost an hour ahead of the delivery time, the order was out the door a few minutes before 12:30pm and arrived at 12:42pm. One thing I learned is that GrubHub gives themselves 10 min to still be considered on time (so 12:40pm). So if you have less leeway and you want it by 12:30pm, have them aim for 12:20pm. But the food looked good and tasted good, and my friends' bellies were filled. Went for a super beef to see how they stack up against Athas and Jamie's being a north shore guy. I had the super beef three way. Have to say , excellent, big stack of beef , great amount of sauce , and cheese and mayo were perfect accompaniments. My son had the steak bomb, he is pretty picky and I heard no complaints and it was gone in three minutes. Wife had the egg lemon soup which was perfect for a cold winter day. Wow! Super is an understatement when talking about this warm slab of meat. The onion roll was soft, the roast beef was plentiful, warm, and rare. The BBQ sauce was spicier than my Aunt Shirley, the mayo was nice and creamy and complimented it like Jalen Brown to Jayson Tatum. A+ roast beef. Perfectly toasted bun, perfectly cooked beef and lots of it. I thought super beefs automatically came with onion rolls but these was loaded onto a sesame bun. So if you want an onion roll with your super, ask for it. Cheese pizza was pretty good but noticeably not piping hot from the moment I grabbed the box. Pete's is my favorite roast beef place! The restaurant it's self is small but good things come in small packages. Is a little joint were you can get pizza, which is also good, salad with home made pita bread, subs and so much more. The staff is always friendly and food is done in a timely manner. The prices other local roast beef joints are no match for the prices at Pete's. Pizza prices are the best in town for an even better sandwich then some of the competitors. Overall the food here is quite delicious I have had from roast beef to teriyaki chicken salads. I think I've got for mayor has been awesome. This time around I went with a large roast beef sandwich and some mozzarella sticks. The roast beef sandwich is just one of the things to get at Pete's Roast Beef. Another is the roast beef calzone: roast beef, cheese and sauce baked into a calzone pocket. They also do a steak and cheese calzone here which I would recommend over the steak and cheese sub. The sub sandwich bread that they use at Pete's is not your typical french roll, but a fancier roll that does not soak up the sauciness of a steak sub very well. The steak will fall out and the bread won't keep it's shape. You'll have a big mess left on your plate. Couple this with the fact that they don't have napkin or utensil dispensers on the tables and you'll end up looking like a slob if you're not careful. Try the pizza. I like Pete's pizza dough. I think the dough is also used for their calzones and their side rolls. If you like Bertucci bread, give Pete's dinner rolls a try. You'll like them. If they sold the raw dough separately, I might buy it to make pizza at home. But why bother if Pete's is right there, plus they deliver. read more

My buddy lives by this place, love's the Pete's Special Calzone, visits it 2-3x a week, and swears by it. Pete's Special Calzone: Roast beef, cheese, and bbq sauce. Whoever thought of this combination is awesome. The dough was very tasty and baked to a crispy on the outside, tender in the middle perfection. Steak and Cheese Calzone: Sounds simple, but damn this is good. Very good with or without marinara. I enjoyed this slightly more than Pete's Special. The calzone's are huge at around 7$ for a small and $13.50 for a large. Large will feed 2 big appetites. Food: A Service: A Menu has variety 4/5 for me. +1 star for my buddy. Give Pete's a try. Petes Roast Beef has been a constant contender in the lunch scene at my work. Pete's definitely has an advantage when it comes to their food. It's delicious and fresh. They have quick delivery and the people that deliver couldn't be any more pleasant or friendly. But I couldn't possibly give them more than two stars because every time I call I am met with the rudest possible person that could work in any sort of customer service position. She consistently makes you feel like you are bothering her because you want to order there. The past couple times my co workers and I have ended the call and said we won't order there because it's not worth dealing with her. I recently ordered a chicken kabob salad and her response was "what do you mean?" I mean I want the chicken kabob salad that's listed on your menu.
