    | Room to Grow, Hoping for Better Next Time We came to Petey's with high hopes. As a long-time Wenatchee resident who moved away in 2017, I was excited to try a new spot after recently moving back. I remembered this location as a family-run Mexican restaurant and was intrigued to see what Luis had done with the place--I've met him in the past and wanted to support the venture. First impressions were promising. We were greeted warmly by a friendly young man at the front, and shortly after sitting down, someone else brought us water without delay. The service started off strong and professional. Then our waitress arrived--and unfortunately, that's where things shifted. She didn't greet us or offer a smile--just asked if we wanted anything besides water. We placed our drink orders, but her demeanor felt cold and unwelcoming. When she returned with our drinks, the energy didn't improve. We placed our food order and hoped for the best. When our meals arrived, they looked good--but we were missing a couple of items. We let her know, and she corrected it quickly, which we appreciated. Still, she seemed frustrated and disengaged throughout. To top it off, while I was still eating, she returned--not to check on how things were--but to ask if we were ready to cash out. I let her know I wasn't quite finished yet. About ten minutes later, I motioned that we were ready, and she dropped the handheld payment device on the table without a word. No "how was everything?"--just silence. It was clear she was ready for us to go. Despite the lackluster service, I still left a 15% tip--because everyone has off days. And I genuinely want this place to succeed. The food was good, and the environment shows promise. We'll be back to give breakfast a try, and I'm hopeful the next visit reflects the pride and care that I know Luis wants this place to represent. I don't leave critical feedback lightly--but I know Luis will see this and take it as an opportunity to improve. - thanks for reading my review

Carbonara fettuccine - on the salty side
    Fen F.

Came here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon based on Yelp. Upon walking in, we can tell it used to be a Mexican restaurant based on the decor. Country music played overhead. We ordered the French dip ($18) daily special and Carbonara Fettuccine ($23). It took longer than usual to get our food. The French dip had minimal meat and the au jus was on the salty side. My Carbonara was also quite salty and had big chunks of bacon. The establishment was clean and service was decent but we will most likely not be back due the so-so food quality.

If I could leave a 10/5 I would. My sister and I stumbled by Petey's on the way out of town and were shocked by the hole in the wall nature of incredible service and better food. Highly recommend the bagel sandwich (do the jalapeño cheddar!) and the cinnamon roll pancakes. We live in Seattle but considering making the trip out to come here again soon.

Never been here. Was told by the locals great food and environment. Our table was dirty when seated and windows looking out filthy. Flies landed on myself and our food during entire meal. Waitress did not come to take order for quite some time. Ordered chicken wings with ranch with 2 orders of fish and chips. The fish is NOT hand dipped per menu description. It comes from a box as the fish was bland and tasted like it came from a box. Small portion with fries. The very last chicken wings I dipped n ranch and in the ranch was a light colored curly piece of hair. Ewwww! Waitress saw and asked for my phone as I took a picture of the hair. She showed it to the cook and took wings off my bill. I was disgusted and disappointed since it was our first time there. Will not return as I've lost my trust in the food industry

4-Stars for opening today, Oct 4, 2024. Offering All Day Breakfast and Lunch. My first order at 5 PM (to go): - Mushroom Shrimp Alfredo - Caesar Salad - Fish and Chips Basket (see pics) The servers are so enthusiastic about the business, and all the parking spaces were full. It looks like Petey's has stirred immediate interest. Take a look at the menu selections--really something for everyone!

Had a mimosa and some beers with the family too during the happy hour this place is amazing

Today I tried Petey's for the first time coming all the way from California. When I walked in I was greeted by a welcoming young man, we were seated quickly and were served water. Our waitress was very friendly. Try the amazing Fire Pasta with shrimp best I ever had I really recommend this place to everyone in the valley I'm staying here for a week and I already visit twice. Great food and service

Everyone was absolutely delightful, courteous, and attentive. The restaurant itself was clean and spacious, with entertaining big screen TV's throughout. We dined here for brunch, as well as dinner. There is a small parking lot nearby, which made parking convenient. The menu offers a good variety of choices, and the portion sizes are just right--generous enough to leave you feeling satisfied without wasting food, which I really appreciate. The presentation of each dish immediately caught my eye, showing that they put thought and care into every plate. I tried Mediterranean avo toast and it was delicious and very healthy option to to go with. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the service was quick without feeling rushed. Overall, it's a wonderful spot with great food, inviting ambiance, and excellent hospitality. I'll definitely be coming back!

When she brought out the dish, there were two large ones on it because they're normally larger (!) and she wanted us to have the equivalent. It was hot and delicious and between the three of us, we polished off 2/3 of it right away. I ordered the veggie pesto hash. Soooo yummy. I ordered mine without zucchini because it's just not a breakfast veggie to me lol. I did not notice or taste any pesto in the dish but the hollandaise was excellent on top. I tried their gravy to determine what bread I wanted (biscuit was an option) and it was so good. I'm such a gravy snob and this was quite flavorful with a creamy texture. I could barely finish my hash so I didn't touch the biscuit and gravy but our daughter will have it for leftovers this week. Randy ordered the pig and vine bene with hash browns. The bacon on his was crumbles instead of actual pieces of bacon so that was disappointing and he said the hash browns were cooked inconsistently with some of it being overcooked and all of it lacking flavor. Corina ordered the three meat hash and liked it a lot. She could only eat half - the portions are large - so more leftovers for her. This is a super cute place with indoor seating and what looked like a covered patio dining area. We will definitely be back.

Today was our second visit but the first to include food. We are in town for the week and stopped by for coffee three days ago and bantered a bit with the woman working the counter whose name we found out today is Amber. She's so awesome! I hope that business knows just how amazing she is and treats her accordingly. That first day we only ordered coffee and really liked it and the banter lifted us up a bit so that was cool. Today we went in for breakfast and coffee. She remembered us and everything unique about that first encounter. It was a good feeling after a crazy few days so that was wonderful. We also met Hannah who made the excellent coffees we had. We ordered a croque monsieur with an egg on top, a beirock (not sure I'm spelling that right), quiche and a morning bun. Everything was delicious! The beirock had eggs, cheese and bacon in it in a fully closed bun. That bun had such a good flavor that I would only order that next time. The quiche was creamy and smooth but the crust wasn't good. Our daughter who lives here and loves this place, especially their quiche (she says it's better than mine, lol) says the crust usually isn't as bad as it was today. For me, it tasted like it was microwaved (and maybe it was) and that taste and texture is not good. The filling was so tasty though. The morning bun was delicious. I don't normally love sweets for breakfast but it was yummy. The croque was fan-frickin-tastic and while Randy says he's had one that's better, it's not much better and he absolutely loved it. We all had tastes of it and loved it. We will absolutely be back next time we're in town and recommend you try this place out too. If you do, please tell Amber Bobo, Coco and Momo say HI!

The coffee was good, and all of the desserts were fresh, flavorful, and not dry or overly dense. The blueberry cheesecake was probably my favorite. It was very creamy, but not overly rich or too heavy, which made it really enjoyable. The lemon bar and pumpkin cream muffin were also really good. I would 100% be back and definitely recommend this place!

While most of the guests, this morning were from out of town, there was this whole family that goes there, every time they visit Wenatchee, WA, from Chelan! Now that's obviously some delicious eats and great selection too! They have both Sweet AND Savory Crepes, along with Breakfast Sandwiches, on Asiago Bread, regular Bacon and Eggs Breakfast + a large selection of drinks! I decided to get their #ProteinPower Crepe and try out their seasonal #CoffeeFlight and it was all super yummy! My crepe was made with protein powder, a variety of fruits, crushed pecans, peanut butter and whipped cream! It was perfectly filling too! The flight selection is still in the works, but I had Almond Joy, Cinnamon Dulce, Ube and my favorite PEPPERMINT (because everything after Halloween is allowed to have a dash of Xmas flava flaves already.....okuuurrr!!!) lol I will definitely keep going here, anytime I visit Central WA and hope you do too!
