This is my go to Petsmart! I live down the street from the Garden Grove location, but this location is bigger and I take my dog here for Grooming. Daniel usually handles my dog and he's the nicest guy ever! I don't mind the drive for the service and my dog comes out so happy to see me. I should have listened to the reviews. =/ I scheduled my appointment to have my puppy groomed at 2 p.m. I dropped her off at 1:55 p.m. They tell me it's going to be about 2-2.5 hours. I say that's alright because I'm thinking by 4:30 she should be ready. I look at my watch, and the next thing I know it's 5:30 p.m. and they still haven't called. I call and they say a groomer had a "family emergency" and so it's going to be another hour to hour and a half. I was pretty upset because the thought of my puppy being in a kennel for so long makes me feel bad for her. They call me 15 minutes later, and tell me she'll be ready in 15 minutes. I know what this means: they could tell I was upset and so they were going to rush her through the whole process. I said no, I've already rearranged my schedule and to take their time. What saved this PetSmart from not getting a one star rating was that they gave me the puppy bath for free, and they were pretty nice about the whole thing. I would have given four stars, but they forgot to give me my "Pawgress Report" and a bandana for my pup. Not a bad place, but don't hold them to it when it comes to on-time service. I usually go to the Riverside PetSmart. I've always had excellent and on-time service there. read more

The manager here was extremely nice. He went out of his way to help my find what I was looking for. He even called all the other stores in the area to help me. I didn't ask him to he just offered. Wow. I wish I would have read these reviews before taking my beagle there to get groomed. Dropping him off was not a problem. Upon picking him up though, I had nothing but terrible service. The girl at the groomers who helped me with my bill was going to charge me more than what the dog was serviced for. She corrected the bill, but with attitude. The cashier who rang me up was probably my only friendly encounter. When I went back to pick up the dog the girl who handed him over was the worst. I did not get her name but she was VERY rude. She was belittling me because apparently the dogs collar was too tight, I have never owned a dog before. I did not know how tight or loose it needed to be, he had gotten out of it before so we made it tighter. I will never return here, and you should never have your animal groomed here! read more

I gave it another chance and I now regret it! I love my doggy and I will be taking her to the vet ASAP! I hope they do something like firing Selena, she harmed my dog and she will definitely hurt others!!! Having that said, I took my dog this Saturday, June 2, to the grooming department and she came back really sad and it seems in pain. Since Saturday to today, Monday, nothing has changed. We can't carry her because she squeals, she walks very slow, and her tail has been in, between her back legs ever since she came back. She stands and stares at the wall, just stands looking in a daze. My dog is not like that, she's always hyper, always wants to play, and likes to be carried... she's a happy dog. I called PetSmart today, supposedly spoke to the manager named Doug. Told him that Selena was her stylist. Explained everything to him. He said that he was going to ask the grooming department to see if there was something different this weekend and that he was going to see if Banfield of their location can look at my dog. I told him that if he's claiming of calling me back, that he should take my number. He claimed that the phone of the store has caller ID and that there is no need to take down my number. It's been 2 hours and I have not heard back from him and I really doubt that I will. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS TO THE GROOMING DEPARTMENT!!! You guys should be ashamed of hiring unprofessionals! UPDATE: So how I had mentioned that I thought my number was not taking down... not sure if it was, but they did get my dog's name and probably under her name they got my info. Anyways, I did get a call back from Banfield (PetSmart's vet's place) not from the PetSmart's manager. They reached out saying that I wanted to make an appointment with them for my dog to get checked. I asked her if she knew why I needed my dog to get checked. Her reason was that PetSmart reached out to them because I wanted to make an appointment because my dog was acting "funny" after I had picked her up from the grooming department. I told her that she seemed to be in pain and if she was planning to see my dog that I wanted to be there at all times. She seemed a little surprise because it seems that they did not get the full story. I asked if PetSmart was going to cover the expense and she said that I would need to ask them, that she was only calling to make an appointment, but did not considered this appointment as a "complaint" towards PetSmart. I did not take my dog to Banfield and am not planning to take her to PetSmart whatsoever. I ended up taking my dog to professionals at VCA Yorba Regional Animal Hospital and just what I thought, my dog WAS INJURED BY PETSMART AND WAS CONFIRMED BY PROFESSIONALS. On 10/10/18 at 415pm I took dog here for $20 pawdicure ( which includes nail trim and grind, light paw trim, and ear hair removal and cleaning). I also wanted a sanitary trim and told Lena that in the beginning. As she prepared the paperwork I noticed she only had the pawdicure marked down. I again told her I wanted the sanitary trim. Dog was done and I checked and saw sanitary trim was not done. Whatever, I had been there an hour at this point so just wanted to get home. I paid and even tipped her over 20%. At home I realized she didn't do the ears or the paws, only trimmed the nails for $20. I returned, told "Lena" she didn't do the ears or paws, and she argued with me that she didn't know I wanted it done. I told her I didn't pay $20 for a pawdicure to just get a $7 nail trim. She took the dog again and this time pulled out the hair in the ears and did an almost imperceptible trim of the paws. I went to a manager (one of 3 that night, Joe) and complained to him. He had Lena trim the paws again and told her to give me a $3 coupon off next service. He was busy on the phone when Lena got done, handed dog to me and abruptly left the room. Joe was busy on the phone so I didn't want to waste even more time to get $3 off a future visit that's never going to happen because my experience was so terrible. Don't get your dog groomed here, it's such a headache and the managers apparently don't care about customer service too much either. read more

I use Petsmart for my dogs grooming and have always been quite satisfied with the results. And generally speaking have been satisfied with my dealings with Petsmart. However....one thing, which may seem insignificant to many, has bugged me not once or twice, but numerous times. My dog looks forward to one thing and one thing only when I take her to Petsmart......and that is the treats at the checkout counter. How can Petsmart be " out of treats"??? If the treat bin becomes empty....how about getting some off the shelf?? Call me crazy....but I take my dog in for grooming because I love and care about her....she doesn't " love" to go. I normally wash my labrador retriever myself but due to the cold weather I thought I would treat her to a professional grooming at Petsmart in Fullerton. I read the reviews online and noticed that there were a lot of mixed reviews I decided to try it anyways. I would NOT recommend taking your dog for grooming to petsmart. The standard time is 2-3 hours which they are supposed to call you when your dog is ready. After 2 hours and 15 mins i decided to head back and wait for them to be done. after waiting for 15 mins without any call I walked in to inquire about the status. In the grooming area the girl at the register said they would call after 3 hours I politely told her that I had waited 3 hours and still no call. Then she looked toward the right of the register where she handed me my invoice and rudely told me to pay at the register outside (general store register). There was no mention on how long my dog was waiting in the kennel or why no one had called me. She seemed distressed by the time they brought her out to me. I will not be going back to petsmart after this experience. I have tried Petco last year and they held to a 1 hour grooming time period. read more

I brought my dog to get groomed and they did a horrible job. She's a fluffy Maltipoo and they shaved her all the way down. The groomer had said she was moving too much. I was upset but whatever, it happens right? When I got home however, I noticed some bleeding on her leg...the groomer had almost torn off her dew paw! Thank goodness there's a pet hospital inside this location and the manager took full responsibility for vet costs. We have been taking our Pomeranian to this store for 4 years to be groomed. Rene is our personal groomer, we always special request her, since the first day we walked into this grooming department, she greeted us & immediately had a special interest & love for him. He also loves her back, we take him once a month & he always gets excited when he sees her.she does a excellent job grooming him. Always to perfection. The times when she is not available to groom him, all the groomers are happy to take him & also do great work. I have no concern leaving him there. You will not be disappointed. read more

This review is regarding the pet training. I signed my three month old Frenchie up for pet training with Poala (sp?). On the day that his training was to begin, I was called an hour before his appointment and informed that his class was canceled. I left school early to make the appointment, so more notice would have been appreciated. With all the attitude that she could muster, the trainer went on to inform me that if he were to keep his scheduled time, it would be considered a private lesson and I would be charged accordingly. I had just finished telling the . . . genius. . . that my primary goal for my Frenchie's training was socialization with other dogs of various sizes. If she can't even successfully communicate with a human, how in the world could she convey commands to a dog? So, to recap: There are two trainers at this facility, and they are carbon copies of one another. Poala was rude, inconvenienced me, and even attempted to extort more money out of me. I brought my dog into be groomed. The receptionist was nice and friendly but a little confused when she told me it seemed as the person before her ( I'm Brea location) changed his breed. I said oh okay, as long as I'm not being charged more. Anyways, I scheduled for 11:30 and I didn't get a call. I went back in at 3:30 to see if he was done. They stated oh yes he was done. I was told 2:30, so I was annoyed that they were late hence the 4 star, but I'm sure they were busy. Overall Dewey looked great and they checked his ears and teeth which I think is helpful. Went here with my wife and children to adopt a kitten. When we arrived, it took around 15 minutes to be acknowledged by the staff. The kitten we were interested in came with detailed instructions how to hold it, with patronizing undertones. Next, we filled out an application. They inquired about our existing cat, and how it spends the day sleeping in the shade in the fenced back yard. The employee told us, in front of our children, that our cat is going to die a horrible death in the bushes and be eaten by ants. Then they went into graffic detail about how coyote s are going to jump the 8 foot fence and kill our pet. I think she was trying to make my daughter cry. They refused to adopt to us, saying that we were bad pet owners, and that the kitten would find it's way outside and be eaten. This is probably the worst customer service I have ever experienced. If one of my employees behaved like this, they would be fired immediately. The adoption services are through a third party. If PetSmart has a responsible manager, they would not use Cats in Need of Human Care. Barbara and Mary do not deserve your patronage. The cats all looked sad. Now I know why. They get a chance to go to a good home, and then these people take it away from them. Pathetic. read more

They always do an awesome job on my pup and are super friendly. 1 star for everyone else. Whoever the tall girl that is that was working there today needs to seriously get some customer service training. She was the absolute worst. I tried to ask if Jeanette or Josh were there and she said "Yes. But she'll do your dog." And pointed at someone else. I really should have just turned around and walked out with my middle finger in the air. Deb was the groomer today and WTF Deb? My dogs face was oddly shaven and several wisps hung around her ears. The worst part, the very worst part is the job you did on her eyebrows. Not sure if she was moving or something but you basically left one eyebrow untouched and shaved off the other. She constantly looks like she's giving the People's eyebrow. And you also didn't give me a grooming report card. Not that I'd normally mind, but on top of your bad cut job, not bothering to fill out a paper on what you did to my dog is just the icing on the cake. Peace out, Fullerton Petsmart. Took my puppy in for grooming today and I regret it. I only took him to get groomed because I needed to get his nails trimmed since they were really long and sharp. My puppy has black nails and since I wouldn't be able to see the wicks I decided to let a professional do it. When I picked him up I paid and left... when I got to my car I noticed brown all over his left paw. I went back inside and asked the lady what it was, she said: "Oh we just trimmed back too far and that's something to stop the bleeding." Just like that unapologetic and like it was no big deal. I understand accidents happen but what I am upset about is that they didn't BOTHER to tell me when I picked him up. I will never take him to get groomed here again. I found a $10.00 off coupon in my entertainment book so I took my dog in for her first grooming at this Petsmart - to start - the groomer who checked me in was very impatient and rude. It was the first time I was getting my 6 month old Maltese groomed - so I wasn't familiar with all the grooming terms, styles...etc.. It was obvious that the girl checking us in was being rude, so another groomer left his position and came over to help, he was very nice, I understood exactly what was going to be done, basically a full groom, simple. I was told what time she would be ready and how much it would cost. They called me on time (3 hours later)so I went to pick her up. I was helped by a different girl. She asked me the dogs name, printed out a receipt told me to go pay. I returned with the receipt, she went to the back room and comes walking out with this huge german sheperd, dirty, matted, in really bad shape. So I thought she's bringing this dog out to groom, but no, she walks directly to me hands me the leash. I said, "this is not my dog, I have a small, white dog". At this point, another groomer turns to look and said to her," that dog isn't even groomed". The german sheperd happen to have the same name as my dog. He walked back and got my dog. I was so surprised at the way my dog was groomed. I wasn't even sure it was my dog. They shaved (uneven shave) her hair down almost to the skin - she wasn't even matted when I took her in. Before she was shaved, her hair was short, you could put a comb thru her hair - no tangles no mats.The groomer told me they were going to "trim" her hair not "shave" to the skin.They left her with with razor burn around one eye. One paw had a nail that was cut so short it bled. I didn't notice these things until after I got home. When I called to let them know what happened, they blamed the dog, said she was a problem. I never went back. I take her to another groomer- every 3 months or so...never a problem. They say she's like grooming a little doll. Needless to say, I would never take my dog back to petsmart again. read more

Recently had my two terrier mixes groomed at this location. Spent over $100.00 to have them bathed (with flea & tick shampoo), trimmed, teeth cleaned, ears cleaned, nails grinded down, and expressed. My dogs came home with fleas, ears dirty and both scooting their butts a day later!!! Wth!? Will not go back. The hair cut was an even to boot! My poor little guys. This location needs new management at their grooming salon. You need to check your people's work. Be proud of a job well done. Very sad. read more

I've been taking my dog groomed here for about a year and all the sudden someone mistreated my 1 year old poodle mix and gave her cherry eyes. My dog arrived at the groomers with no problems until we picked her up from the groomers. The vet said this can gradually happen over time and not within a 3 hr time frame. The groomer also would not admit fault that they did it. They also have poor customer service especially with grooming manager Amy. CAUTION do not take your pet here if you care for them. read more

Completely disappointed. Not with the store but the grooming department. Called to get quotes and ensure what paper work I needed for my puppy and no one was able to give answers over the phone. Lost in confusion as the phone was passed around and every person on the other line was asking each other the questions I just asked. Simple enough to how much is a puppy trim? what paper work would I need to bring for my puppy? Do I need an appointment or can I bring her in? Can I get an appointment today? This PetSmart is in a good location for a shopping center; however, it seems as though the company has let this store fall to the wayside. More than half the isles were dark due to lights being out & the isles were unorganized and dirty. Friendly staff but poor store quality. read more
