    Top of head and ears.

I was not happy at all with my pups haircut. Her hair looks like it was chopped up. Her hair is different lengths. Her feet were barely touched. Her nails were clipped and not grinned like I ask. I was given all kinds of excuses. I definitely won't be back to the Woodstock location.

Is there a maximum age for my girl's grooming and size or weight breakdown? My 2 girls are 13 year old Border Collies, about 40-45 lbs. each.?

We can now take Moose off leash comfortably knowing she will come when called, sit and stay even in busy environments. I feel like we are happier humans and she is a happier dog thanks to Sam's help. The training style used was also based on rewarding Moose with play rather than food or negative reinforcement, which I really appreciate and didn't know much about before. We couldn't be more pleased with the results. Highly recommend Dog Wizard and Sam!

I've parented/known many rescues in the past and never seen anything like the fear she exhibited. fully freaked out, I shot a message to Atlanta Dog Wizard with an SOS to help. Kat quickly got in touch and we had about a 30-min call, which provided me with INVALUABLE insight into my urgent situation. That information she gave me--keep in mind, I had paid no money for her advice or training to this point--gave me some practices I could use, right away, to make Raffi feel more comfortable. I still might officially use Atlanta Dog Wizard in the future, if Kat is any indication how the company does things. She has a passion for rescues and turning around challenging situations and making dogs (and humans) shine. Cannot recommend highly enough.

She is extremely high energy and struggled with leash/dog reactivity, making walks stressful and kept us from taking her basically anywhere public. We did the 2 Week Board and Train program. Everyone at OTCK9 is professional, communicative and made sure we understood how to maintain everything at home. We love that they offer group classes for life on Saturdays to continue reinforcing the training! We also take crazy Luna to Doggy Daycare and she loves it! They are so much more than a training facility--you and your dogs become family. They are always there when you need them, and I truly mean always. Their passion for what they do shines through in the level of care and dedication they show. I cannot recommend them enough. They will love and care for your dog just as much as you do.

The clerk, Eric, rambled on and on about their WiFi being down so he needed to do the credit card transaction on his phone. When he asked me to sign on his phone screen, I saw that the screen itself was filthy dirty. He didn't offer any sort of writing item like a pen. He told me to use my finger to sign. I told him that I didn't want to touch his screen. When the transaction was finished, I asked him how I would tip the groomer. He said he'd have to do the credit card over again. I told him that was fine since I didn't have any cash and I thought it was important to tip the groomer. As I handed my card to him a second time, he remarked about how he and I had both touched the same credit card even though I hadn't wanted to touch his phone screen. He actually thought it was a clever zinger to show me how up on front of the other two employees. When I asked him about this, he got upset quickly. I asked a nearby employee if he was the owner. She replied very animatedly that he was her dad. He refused to finish the transaction to give a tip for the groomer. I have no idea if she got a tip from him or not. I do not think that anyone with such reckless regard for what should have been a basic and smooth customer interaction should be trusted with anyone's pets. The pets cannot speak up for themselves if they are the subject of any abuse. Based on Eric's undignified treatment of a customer settling a $110 grooming bill, it concerns me how the animals might be handled. Lisa Marie's grooming of my dogs has always been impeccable. I hope she is valued by the management and that she can find a place that treats customers nicer.

She has since become incontinent as well, the combination of which makes her quite the prize for a dog grooming place. All of that was to preface the fact that Save Me From the Dog House did an excellent job with her oatmeal bath and blow-dry-- no judgements, annoyed behavior, or pitying stares, and no terrified pug returned to me afterward. The staff there was very friendly and inviting, especially Hercules, the Great Dane/receptionist. I think we've found our monthly stop for Pixie's bathing needs.

I figured this isn't something you want to half ass, your dog's welfare depends on this kind of thing. I spoke with many different trainers about their education, experience and affiliations before I found Anna. We spoke on the phone and she told me about her education (studied at a university in Canada), her experience (over a decade training dogs even though she looks kinda young), and her affiliations, (APDT, Pet Professionals Guild and AKC CGC certified). I was pretty intrigued at this point so I asked her about her methods, she told me that she's a "fan of the clicker" and then right off the bat told me how it works and what studies have been done on it. Since I didn't ask her for that information, I was pretty impressed that she volunteered it. Girl after my own heart. We arranged a meeting so she could do an assessment, which she assured me was free. When she arrived at my place a week later, I was a little skeptical, she's as skinny as a reed and looks like a stiff breeze would blow her over. I have an American Staffordshire Terrier who weighed 60lbs, I thought there would be no way she could handle her. When I mentioned my concerns (I phrased it more politely than I just put it, of course) she told me "no worries." She said that "real leaders lead from behind." And that "anytime you find yourself using force against a dog, your doing it wrong." I don't know why, but that stuck with me. Cut to 4 weeks later and Peewee is doing great! We still have a lot left to do, we're only half way through the program, but Anna's a fountain of knowledge. It's amazing what I've learned so far.

I have wanted to have and train a female GSD (German shepherd dog) all my life since I was raised from birth with a female GSD, Heidi. I had also spent countless hours researching training methods and facilities. My wife was not convinced that boarding for training was how she wanted to have Heidi trained, but after meeting with Chase Haggerman at Georgia K9 NTC and our beautiful Heidi nipping her heels with 3 month old teeth, she agreed to enrolling Heidi in the basic obedience program. I must say thought the week Heidi was there was not easy for us, but it was tolerable knowing who's hands she was in with GAk9. They have an incredible facility with excellent staff. Chase Haggerman and John Wyrick are two of the most awesome guys I know! They are both extremely talented with K9 handling and have my up most respect and appreciation for setting the foundation for Heidi. A few months after completing basic obedience training we returned for intermediate obedience training and choose to train Heide on the remote collar...another priceless decision. As we pulled up to GAK9 NTC Heidi was very excited and happy to be there! We have taken Heidi everywhere that is excepting to us because Ultimately I hope to work her as a therapy dog. I would like to take her to retirement homes, hospitals, the VA. And put a smile on someone's face. Georgia K9 has an environmental program that we plan on enrolling her in as well as advanced obedience training. We are also going to work toward canine good citizen certification. I have no doubt with the help of the great folks at George K9 Heidi will be a star pupil.
