I went in looking for the Burt's Bees Paws and Nose Lotion for my dog. I checked online and it said there were a few left at this location. There was not. The shelf was devoid of all Burt's Bees products except for dog shampoos. As I was trying to locate this item, I noticed quite a few employees about: some restocking shelves and others milling by the cash register. There was one employee I passed by 3 times as I circled the store looking for this lotion and we made eye contact. He clearly saw my head swiveling around searching for something but he didn't offer any assistance, quite different from PetCo Union Square where there's usually a greeter by the door and where the employees working the floor ask if you need any help as soon as you walk past them. read more

I brought my dog to be groomed and instead they shaved him. I spoke with Carlos and told him not to shave my dog because last time she got a rash and i had to take her to the vet for medication. He did not listen to me. He went and butchered my dog again. There was a long cut under her eye and there was dried blood there. This cost me $125.00 and $75.oo for the vet. The groomers are horrible. They crate the dogs some where in the back and you never get to see it. Oh and he said he cut her nails and it was obvious he never did. This place should be shut down for animal cruelty. Still would like to know what is the big secret on where they bring the dogs in the back and you cannot see it... read more

I decided to give my dog to the store manager for a full bath and cut - Wil is a nice guy, but I don't think I got the same dog back. I asked for a trim -maybe 1in but still make him look fluffy. Not sure if I would recommended PetSmart for grooming in general. I brought my 4 month old puppy in for a bath and trim (2nd time at this location) and it didn't go as expected. I understand that she was nervous and even made a mess but I wish I was notified sooner rather than 3 1/2 hours later, otherwise I would've taken her home and rescheduled! The groomers were not able to cut or grind her nails or clean her ears because she was too nervous, which I understand. But once again, I wish I didn't leave my pup there for 4 hours just for a bath, which is pretty stressful for her. I appreciate the groomer's effort but I feel like communication was lacking in this situation. When we got home, she was not as energetic as she normally is and I felt bad for putting her through that. read more

I was taking my dog here 5 years already for her haircuts. She use to have a steady person until that person no longer worked for Petsmart and then started having different people. During one of the grooming sessions, someone hurt one of her nails so bad she has never been the same to get her nails cut or even a hair cut. This was told to Petsmart and was brushed off. Petsmart had the nerve to BAN my dog for there impatient, careless employees. And they randomly tell you she's banned. I called to set up an appointment and the person on the phone said they no longer can take Princess because SHE is aggressive and a manager would call me. NO ONE ever reached out. I'm currently taking her to a totally different business not affiliated with PetSmart and the groomer was patient and was able to cut my dog with no issues. I also have insurance through Banfield, no compliants of aggression. One time when I picked my dog up, the person who cut her hair looked so annoyed like she hated her job and complained about my dog while another lady picked up her dog and a different groomer told that customer how she took her time with the dog and was able to successfully cut that dogs hair and was so patient unlike the groomer I had. My first time here and first time using their self wash. The staff at the self wash for dogs are friendly , but while my friend and I were both washing our dogs the temperature of the water got wayyy too hot. I called to them for help but they said there's no temperature control.. how is that possible ? They walk away ..My friend and I are freaking out because the water is steaming at this point. I look at her and we just kept saying "it's too hot for them". But we had no choice but to quickly rinse off the soap. My poor puppy was turning pink because she's short hair. Worst experience ever. If I could give zero star, I would. I took my dog for grooming there. Despite the fact that they almost shaved my dog to naked, the few hair left was not even. I even found some wound on my dogs skin. With that few hair, it's easy to get sunburned. I don't understand how come a groomer didn't even have common sense about that. Worst checkout line, makes no sense at all! Creates chaos when you try and leave, where does the line start? You have to walk past the checkout and then loop back around, usually in that amount of time someone just walks up to cashier and cuts you because your standing in a line that the cashier can't even see, this is a huge oversight and I actually left without purchasing something because of it. read more

I visited this store on 9/14/19. I had the rudest salesperson to ring my sale up that I have ever encountered anywhere. She did not ask me if I was a rewards member-I had to ask if she wanted my phone number-she did not remind me I had a $2.00 reward available for use. She NEVER smiled. I was purchasing a quantity of food to take advantage of a sale and when I asked her to show me the discount had been taken she told me she couldn't. I told her I wanted to see the discount before paying-immediately another salesperson leaned over and hit a key and voila-I could see it. I told her that was all I wanted to see. She told me I was rude! I then asked for a manager who just came up, listened and said she was sorry. The salesperson glared at me through the rest of the sale. DO NOT GET YOUR DOG GROOMED HERE. Seriously save yourself the stress. The most unorganized and worst groomers I have ever been to. I don't even know where to start. They cancelled my appointment without explanation then when I called about it they said they don't know what happened and to come on in, making it seem like they were doing me a favor even though I had made an appointment and confirmed it twice. Then when I arrived the groomer was not welcoming, I had emailed my dogs vaccine certificates the day prior and she claimed they never got them without even looking for the email (unorganized yet again). I put in my booking that I wanted teeth cleaning and she claimed I didn't (I know I absolutely did). I drop my dog off at 12 noon, she says it'll take 4-5 hours so I come back at 5. She then says come back at 6-6:15. I come back at 6:15. She says my dog won't be ready til 7pm. My dog was at this groomers for 7 HOURS!! she is a small 10lbs puppy. They said they don't need them, my dog is a puppy and hadn't eaten for about 9 hours by the time I got her home and gave her food. Management was no help, at the end of the night made it still seem like they did me a favor? WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Trust me DO NOT GET YOUR DOG GROOMED HERE!!!!! I cannot express it enough they will keep your dog for hours and over charge you and were rude. read more

Do yourself a favor...If youre buying pet supplies at the grocery store or Petco come here instead. The prices on everything are better. I can get generic cat food cans for 46 cents a can or Friskies cans for 56 cents each...at the grocery store they go for 99 cents! Also the more you buy they take a cent off. Their temptations treats are only 1.89 a package and at the grocery store theyre almost 3.00. Great selection here and friendly staff. I can't say if the prices are better or worse than more independent pet stores, but I know I'm saving money here. Also have great deals on huge bags of cat litter like 45lbs for 8.99! read more

Went into PetSmart to inquire about their day camp offering and I'm disappointed by the lack of professional service. The front desk staff seems to have no knowledge of the requirements needed to board a dog for the day and had to go back and forth from the front desk to whoever was sitting in the back to relay information. Why can't the person responsible come out and speak to me directly? Furthermore I can't find any information /list of requirements on the day camp printed on paper or online either. I'm so happy this Petsmart is finally open! It is so bright and clean. I use to shop at their old location near Houston but it closed when this one opened. We went into pet smart to buy a simple 29 cent goldfish and came out with absolutely nothing. First of all, we waited in front of the information desk for help from the employee and no one helped us for ten minutes. After searching the store high and low for someone to help us. A quite plump woman with an attitude came and said "do you need help or something?" We replied with "um... yes can we get one of the fish in the corner please?" She said "OH the beta fish?" If we wanted a beta fish we obviously would have gotten it off the rack ourselves. We said no, the "goldfish". She seemed confused at first but then proceeded to try and sell us fish filters by saying "u need a filter in order to buy this fish." First of all, last time we paid a visit to buy a fish, we got it with no questions asked. She began to play the role of a judge, asking questions at the speed of light. I am thoroughly disappointed with the pet training offered at this store. First of all, the quality of the training is poor. The trainer spends 5 min at the beginning of class teaching us one exercise/session, and then has us practice in the busy aisles of the store for the rest of class (55 minutes). Our puppy did not respond well to this training. She was very distracted by the other dogs and treats/toys in the aisle. She ended up getting very frustrated and gave up on her training. Additionally, I find the trainer and staff highly unprofessional. The trainer was consistently late to class and we often started a few minutes late. Then, on our 4th of 5 classes, he didn't even show up. When we asked the store staff where he was, they assured us he would be there soon. After waiting 30 minutes, we finally asked to speak to a manager. He informed up that the trainer had the day off and he should've called us to inform us that we would be skipping that week (which he never did). This training program is a waste of time and money. I highly recommend going elsewhere. We absolutely love Andrea Arden around the corner. While they are significantly more expensive, we believe that ensuring that our puppy is well trained for the duration of her life is well worth it. read more
