Staff is incredibly nice throughout this store, however, my review is only for the groomers.
I usually bring both my Siberian Huskies to get groomed at the Sunnyvale location as their groomers and team there are personable and give me confidence that my pet will be treated while during their bath.
Due to scheduling, the earliest appointment I can make for my pups was at the Coleman PetSmart, which I already have not had a great experience with.
My pups both had an 8:00am appointment with one of the female groomers. Upon entering the salon, she did not say one word to me, and just said, "Do you have their Rabies papers?" Kind of strange considering I've never spoke to this lady, and she just seemed rather drab. I said that I had spoke to someone on the phone and they'd let me know that their papers were in the system already so it was fine.
Moving forward, she had me sign off on the waivers, which I let her know one dog is getting weak (both of them are 9 years old), and the other is in great condition. Once I signed off she walked out from behind the booth, grabbed my dogs leashes from me, and literally did not say another word to me. I just stood there waiting to see if I was supposed to wait on something or what, but she proceeded to walk to the back with them. Honestly, I was hesitant to even want to leave them there as I was worried she'd do something to my pups as Sibes are known to howl and scream during baths and she already seemed so annoyed.
Anyhow, 4 hours later (for both pups, which is pretty good timing), I pick them up, and she seemed to be a little bit better of a mood as I overheard her speaking to the other down owners picking up their dogs. When she saw me she gave me the paperwork and just said "Bring this to the front and pay and then I'll get your dogs for you." Again no personality. After I returned with the paid receipt she went back to get my dogs, she handed them to me and that was that. She didn't say thank you, didn't tell me how it was, I was given no update, no Pawgress report, which I've grown accustomed to receiving from the Sunnyvale location.
***MANAGEMENT*** Now to my Biggest concern, one of my dogs, the one I said was in excellent health, I noticed in the parking lot started to limp on his left rear leg. I wondered if he had just tweaked it maybe from sitting in the kennels there, however, that symptom continued throughout the day and progressively got worst. That was on 1/15/17. I called the store that night and asked to speak with the lady that groomed my dog, but she had already gone for the day as it was now almost 8:00pm. I left a message with the guy that answered, and I said to make sure you either have her or a manager call me. Well, I've given you an opportunity to do so, which is horrible considering I wanted to know if my dog tweaked his leg there or anything of the likes. No call still. So again, gave courtesy for you to call me prior to me writing this review. Luckily for your store my pup's leg seems to have worked itself out, but I found the groomer to be incredibly rude, and the fact management hasn't called just to make sure everything was fine with my dog just shows the lack of trust and responsibility this store has.
To be fair the groomer did a great job on my dogs bath, but I will make it a point to always book way in advance to ensure I am able to get them into the Sunnyvale location as I love the staff there and I trust them with my pets. read more
