I genuinely had to leave a review for Sarah and Rylie (i think that's how it's spelled) because they were genuinely so kind to me today. I brought in a tiny kitten I found that was absolutely covered in fleas, and I was honestly overwhelmed, but they immediately jumped in to help without hesitation. They helped me bathe the kitten, brought me supplies and tools, gave the baby treats, and even helped me call someone while I was trying to wash the cat hahaha. They were both so patient and sweet the entire time and made a really stressful situation feel manageable. You can tell they truly care about animals and people. Staff was friendly. This review is mainly about the lady at the cat adoption. I went in earlier to find my cat a companion and what better than to rescue a cat in need of a home. I'll start by saying that's my last time trying to help a cat find a home & it's not their fault. Mainly the woman who was in charge of the adoption. She started off by saying I had to adopt 2 cats if I wanted to adopt any because "they come as a pair", in which I told her I already had a cat and was only looking to adopt 1, she said it was fine in that case but she wasn't as attentive or as helpful as she was being with other guest. Yes the other guest were of white or Asian race (I'm Hispanic). She didn't seem to question them in any way in terms of their housing and living conditions for their cat meanwhile when she finally gave me the time of day, she continued to question everything about me, my cat, and my home where I would be taking the cat. She stated earlier that only a few adoptions occur while she's there and I completely understand why. I tried to rescue and provide a home for a cat in need but she seemed to racially profile me and thought I was incapable of caring for one of the kittens which I thought wasn't fair and rude as she wasn't being that way with the other guests. She was looking for a way to say no to me in which by then I had already gotten the hint and no longer felt comfortable adopting any cat from this woman. If she treats you fair then by all means rescue these kittens as I'm all for having cats find a home but if you're any race other than white or Asian then I feel she will racially profile you and not let you adopt a cat. It was only irritating as I waited almost an hour and she treated me so poorly and did not end up letting me help one of these kittens. I believe her name was Ranae or at least that's what the card says. Anyways best of luck and this is the cat she accused me of not having that was looking for a buddy. read more

I normally go to the pet food express in Los Gatos, but recently moved to Campbell and thought I would give this location a shot. I took my two large Australian shepherds to use their self service pet wash and was blown away with the level of service that I received. When I first arrived, Brian was cleaning the area and was so incredibly helpful and provided me with everything that I needed, even grabbing me towels and helping show me how to use the blow dryer correctly. The machines were clean, and the soap coming out of the hose had lots of suds (at the Los Gatos location I've had issues with not enough soap being applied). 11/10 - will be back read more

This place is a hit or miss. You either get great customer service or folks who can't do math and argue with you on pricing. On two occasions I've had to bring up pricing issues, what's online vs what my receipt says. It then leads to passive aggressiveness and a I can't do anything about it. Wild to think managers never find a solution. Reaching out to corporate was also not helpful to me. Ultimately my recommendation is if you go in there with a coupon, get ready for discounts not matching online and in store or simply order online and pick up to avoid the mess. read more

This is the best pet store that has everything I need for my dog. I love coming here with my dog and walking around when I come to pick up his food. Fantastic customer service! I've been in and out of this store a lot lately trying to find the right food for my golden and her sensitive stomach. Everyone I've dealt with over the years has been helpful and knowledgeable, but this review is for Rose. She is really well informed on the many product lines they carry, and spent time explaining to me what may work, and why, for my dog's issues. She returned a bag of food that did not work, recommended another that did, and gave me probiotic samples to try as well. This review is for the dog wash only. We took a dog who was staying with us for a few weeks. He usually goes to a posh groomer, but he was a little stinky and we wanted to send him home fresh. The self-wash couldn't have been easier, and there is staff on hand if you have questions. It was $18 for 25 minutes of wash, conditioning rinse, and dry. You get towels, an apron, and dog treats. I have been shopping here on an off whenever I am in town and when I lived here FT I always came here. The service is truly amazing. Staff are always smiling and consistently asks if they can help when I can't find what I am looking to buy. The self-service wash area is always clean and a pleasure to use. I went in the other day and there wasn't enough of my food choice, I was told delivery would be after 1pm. I returned and it wasn't delivered, the salesperson said a different staff member offered to drive to Los Gatos to get the product I wanted and I can pick it up the next day. I mixed and matched what was available in the store, but the willingness to go above and beyond made me feel like a valued customer. Omar and (sorry) another female employee (long black wig) were very helpful on, what was for me, a pretty stressful morning. They both made me feel valued and I appreciated, and always appreciate, the great customer service. They deserve 6 stars, this is the best pet store around. And they fixed the AC! The staff is incredibly nice and helpful, the store is well stocked, and the play area in the back is awesome. Shout out to Haley's puppy social classes! I drive right past other big name pet stores to get here. Our family recently adopted a dog named Ben. While we don't know much about his past, we do know he's an incredibly sweet but anxious and nervous little guy. A friend recommended this store to me, praising the staff, and I'm so glad they did! During my first visit, Ben had just come home, and his stomach was a mess. The staff took the time to help me choose the right food and electrolytes, and within 24 hours, Ben was already feeling better. Yesterday, I went back for more food and met Gabby. She was amazing--she patiently answered all my questions and gave Ben the space he needed to feel secure. Gabby truly understood his personality and offered such thoughtful advice and encouragement. Priscilla and Brian were also working that day and gave Ben a warm welcome as well. Every time I've visited, the customer service has been absolutely outstanding. After just three visits, I can confidently say I'm a customer for life! What really stood out was seeing how Gabby interacted with others. I take my 5 doggies here to get bathe every time. I also buy some of their food here also, they have great quality of food and toys for my doggies. I like that they keep their dog wash station very neat and clean. I would like yo add that they need to service their blow dryer because it needs to come out hot air instead of cold, and some of the spray gun leak when you have it shut off. PROS: I absolutely love bringing my dog here to get his food, treats, & raw goodies. They have puppy socials each Wednesday through P.E.T.S which has been really great for socializing my dog. All of the staff have been super kind and remember my puppy each time he comes in (which is pretty much weekly). I've received a lot of great advice from cashiers here about my dog. CONS: minus one star bc OMG the heat is absolutely unbearable. Idk if the AC isn't working or something but it is absolutely miserable standing in there. It was only 85 degrees out today and it's crazy that it was actually cooler outside than it was inside of the store. Literally all the employees had sweat on their brows and I felt so bad for them. I was standing there for an hour during the puppy social and I was sweating buckets. I hope management fixes this soon before summer gets closer and the heat gets even more unbearable bc we do really like to bring our dog here. I hope they do better 1) for their employees suffering all day in that heat, 2) for the dogs coming in for puppy socials staying for 1 hr panting like crazy , and 3) for their owners like me sweating their butt off . I emailed corporate about the bad customer service from the manager. The reply was...that the staff would be re-trained and that they were sorry my dog and I will not be retuning to the store. The reply offered for me to let them know if there's anything else they can do. Wow that's still terrible customer service. They basically said bye to a potential life long customer (I'm in my 30s and plan to have pets for the rest of my life) and they gave up even trying to keep me coming back by basically saying "bye Felicia"..."sorry to hear you and your dog won't be coming back". The offer for ME to tell them what else they can do? Like I need to barter with them? I've worked in retail and customer service. Businesses are supposed to be proactive and offer the customer something like how about the next pet wash bath is complimentary on us...we hope it will be a more positive experience and we hope you will change your mind and continue to shop with us. I've been coming to this location for about 5 years. During that time, my cats were doing fine. My experience has been pretty good. Recently though, one of my cats was diagnosed with a health problem. When I came into the store with specific food needs, I found the staff less helpful, including the manager. I was literally told, "That's beyond me". Then he walked away. As a regular customer for the last several years, I was dumbfounded by his attitude. Unless you have a healthy animal, and have basic needs, this store's staff Isn't helpful. I tried again and am finding it harder to interact with anything more than something simple.
