I went to get my baby groomed here because its the only place that can work around my work schedule. (unless I want to wait 2 weeks to get into the place I usually go) When I got there the woman behind the counter was EXTREMELY rude and wouldn't groom my dog because I didn't have her rabies papers. *Which, not bringing them is completely my fault, I understand that* But I offered the number of two of her vets and the number for her pet insurance and she REFUSED and wouldn't call them... Later today I am going to the petsmart at Alliance town center to get her groomed. Doggy age discrimination? I was just told we can no longer bring our dog for grooming on the weekends because she is more than 10 years old and they are busy. The groomer said that older dogs take longer and they are busy on the weekends. They have always done an excellent job grooming our dog. This store generally has everything I'm looking for, is clean, and the staff are friendly. I'm surprised that there is no dog treat snack bar and the packaged dog treat section is less than one aisle long. That seems kind of odd to me. Also, adult cat adoptions were $150 - that is a bit high. You're not supposed to be trying to turn a profit on rescue animals. read more

Made an appointment against my better judgment based on reviews from several sites and only because I needed a Sunday appt.. They waited until 3.5 hrs prior to my appt to call and say they don't groom senior dogs on the weekend. Terrible customer service to wait until the last minute. I went to the pet salon to have my dog's nails trimmed and the girl was very nice. My dog (who is about 60lbs) was freaking out and she kind of tried to get him behind the counter by pulling his leash which was attached to a choke collar, which I wasn't a huge fan of (I wasn't upset though), but with some persuasion from me, he went with her. They were very quick and with him being the squirmy dog that he is when the nail clippers come out, I am happy to spend the $9.00. read more

I shop at this petsmart every week for reptile/fish stuff. 4 stars due to a few staffers that could use some customer service training. But for the most part they are great! Mostly have the products I need unless the greedy person buys all the feeders or super worms. Mary the cashier is the greatest asset and we need more people like her. Her customer service is top notch. Thanks Mary for all you do and thanks petsmart for being better than Petco which just plain stinks as a pet store. read more

The vet there named Dr. Melad Khaflaf Matta was very rude! He spoke to me in a condescending manner and made my dog cry out during an exam. Then grabbed my dog ( a 4 month old puppy) by the mouth and muzzled him, pushing him to the ground. My puppy is a teething puppy and was not trying to bite him. He stated that the dog was showing signs of aggression. This puppy is scared of our Chihuahua and is a coward if anything. I will never let him touch any of my animals again! Do not drop your pets off alone! Who knows what he will do to them when your not there to protect them. If he doesn't like animals, he should not be a vet!!! BEWARE OF THIS VET!!!! read more

This is a review for the Banfield Pet Hospital at this location. We had to take our dog, Louie, in to see them after we discovered a rash on his neck. I called them at 0700 the next morning asking if they had an open appointment but they did not but told me to go ahead and bring him in anyways and he will be looked once if an appointment opens up. We live in Lewisville, my husband works in Watauga right down the road so he took him in with him that morning. Throughout the day I received updates on how he was doing and what the issue was. They called to get my approval prior to performing any work necessary to clean neck and kept me posted throughout my work day. Louie seemed pretty happy once we got him back home and the vet assistant called me the next day to follow up how Louie was doing. They gave us 2 weeks worth of swabs and antibiotics and throughout these two weeks, they have called to check in to see how he is doing. I can honestly say that this Banfield is by far the most thorough, professional and extremely helpful Banfield hospital I've taken our dog to. I've been to the ones in The Colony, Lewisville, Allen, McKinney, Flower Mound and none of them have ever called and followed up as this one has! They've earned my respect and business going forward when it comes to anything related to our pup! As I said before, I live in Lewisville and I will definitely make the drive out to this Watauga Banfield for such excellent service! Thank you! read more

It's your pet store close to home and and they treat you like you're a part of their home! The staff here is awesome! Keri, was incredibly informative and really treated me like I was an adult, unlike other retail workers! The staff is young, but they don't act lazy or apathetic. Keri is the manager, at least when I went in last week, and she only looks 24, yet anyone can immediately tell that she is well experienced and knowledgeable on all things pets! Also a young cashier by the name of John is funny and sweet. He is down to earth and helped me find a Kong pyramid toy for my dog, which is the EXACT one I was looking for and it's my Gordee's favorite!! Once you walk in you're greeted with a hello and will never be judged despite your question or animal. I only take away one star because they don't pricematch Amazon, grrrrrr..... I use to go to this Petsmart because it was close to my work but every time I go in there, it's something else. I would go in there every two to three days to get crickets and I would be waiting FOREVER to find someone to help me. Other people would also be waiting and looking around and other employees would make eye contact with us and keep walking and not say a word. I would ask for 40-50 crickets and be lucky if I got about 20-30. Also, every time I came I heard a new story from an employee about how all of these animals keep escaping their cages and how one of the snakes even bit someone when they were trying to catch it. I got a bearded dragon and once I took him home I found out that he had extremely bloody diarrhea, wouldn't eat and seemed very lethargic. I waited a few days to see if it fixed itself, knowing a new environment could be stressful for the Beardie but it only got worse. He showed all the signs for parasites so I tried to take him back and they rolled their eyes and said that was normal and that he was fine and I didn't need to return him. He was pooping blood all over the tank and it was even some how on the walls of the tank. I told them I'd like to return him and I was very concerned about him and that he should be checked out by a vet. They continued arguing with me about it. The entire store isn't very clean at all, even for a pet supply. I will not purchase a pet from here again and I'm pretty concerned about their well being. read more

Took my 9 month old goldendoodle here for a grooming and was not happy with the results. Since my dog is a goldendoodle, their fur can mat up super easily. She was only matted a little bit on the edge of her ears and around her mouth. Instead of just cutting out that part and shaving down to almost the skin, the groomer shaved her completely. Like I mean every single bit of her fur was gone. She looks terrible now and I miss the way she looked. I wasn't super upset about it because it's hair and it will grow back but I noticed yesterday that she has large scabs now on the inside of her ears and her stomach is really irritated and this is all from the fact that the groomer shaved her way to close to her skin and now she's getting an infection and has to wear a cone so I am taking her to the vet today to get her treated. I've always loved PetSmart and when I went through training class with my dog there, I thought it was great. However, grooming is terrible and I will not be bringing her back again to get groomed. read more
