HORRIBLE SERVICE. We first came in & no one sat us for 15 mins, then were told to place an order online through the Clover app that was directed via the website. No status updates were sent to us about our order being ready & we were just outside waiting in our cars. Then we walk in about 45 mins later and the food was mot ready... they told us they were out of chicken broth... I asked for a refund & they said they cannot because the business owner manages the money & they are not able to process refunds or give us cash. They said they can prepare a vegetable based broth instead... so we waited Another 30 mins for this new order... wasted 2 hours of my life. Never again. Worst service with unprofessional staff. If you can go elsewhere for Vietnamese food in this area, take your money somewhere else. My family and I ordered food for delivery and got two N3 Pho Noodle Soup, which is supposed to contain rare steak, flank, brisket, tendon and tripe. Their physical menu states this, and so does the menu they posted on yelp. Additionally, Yelp does not give you the option of selecting the flank, brisket, tendon and tripe because these are standard ingredients that is a part of this item. Once delivered, our soups were missing all the standard ingredients and only contained the rare steak. I understand that mix ups happen, so I called the restaurant to resolve the problem. The correct way to handle an order that was fulfilled incorrectly is to either give the customer their money back, or give the missing items. Basic principles of a business transaction is you pay for an item and receive what you actually paid for. This restaurant does not understand this concept. I spoke to 2 staff. Both insisted that there was nothing wrong with my order. I indicated that their menu on yelp states exactly what should be in my order and they said they have not updated the menu and what was delivered to me is correct. I'm sorry, but you don't advertise incorrect items on a menu, take people's money, and expect that your customers are going to be satisfied with a half fulfilled order. I insisted they correct the problem and the staff again said there was nothing wrong with my order and hung up the phone. The staff at this restaurant all need a lesson on how to properly run a business before they should attempt to operate a restaurant. Worst restaurant experience ever! I will never eat here again. I recommend you support a business that will actually give you the service you deserve. Also, if you've received an incorrect order from this place and they refuse to fix the issue, you can call Yelp's customer service who can help get your money back. We eat here every couple months or so and always enjoy the food. However, I did curbside pick up today and there was a discrepancy in my order. I ordered a large bowl of pho and my wife got a regular size. However, the broth, protein and noodles were identical. I'm not sure if a mistake was made or the upgrade to the size isn't worth it. We ordered 3 Phos, Egg Rolls, the Grilled Pineapple Salmon Rice, and the PCD Fried Rice with pork to go. Instead of salmon, we got grilled shrimp. Instead of the fried rice, we got a rice bowl with a brick of pork on top. In the bag, there was a receipt that said "Sorry no Salmon, add shrimp :)". It didn't say anything about replacing the fried rice. They didn't even try to contact us even though my phone number was provided. Both of the meals were entirely changed without notice. read more

The customer service at this place is AWFUL! Horrible customer service Is about the only thing that is consistent here. And they don't care. I have gotten pho four times here in less than a month. Each time I try to be as optimistic as possible - my order is easy and the same every time: N15, firm tofu, chicken broth, no sprouts, extra cilantro and onions, extra limes, extra sauces. The first visit found me at home with my to go order of N15 with beef broth, extra sprouts, fried tofu, no cilantro and onions, no lime, no sauce.... not even any that might have rubbed off from the counter on the bag. Visit 2 found me with chicken broth and firm tofu.... improvement, extra sprouts, no cilantro and onion, one of the smallest slivers of lime known to human existence, one brown sauce with enough sauce squirted in it to almost cover the bottom of the container. Visit three saw me with firm tofu and chicken broth, some onion and cilantro, extra sprouts, three thin slivers of lime, one Siracusa and one brown sauce..... ten million pounds of sprouts. I just left another I'll fated attempt at the standing order and saw extra extra sprouts, one lime, no sauces, and what I actually consider extra cilantro and onions. When I asked for sauces the girl said 'they are added in the bag'. No. No they aren't. I can't figure out how this order gets so drastically annihilated every time I make it. I'm asking for four good sized limes that are not so rock hard they give me carpal tunnel syndrome squeezing them; no sprouts - in what fresh hell does 'no sprouts' mean triple the amount of sprouts you give me? I don't like the, - they go straight in the trash. I hate to waste them. Quit giving me enough sprouts to feed a small country.... you're wasting them! And why not two of each sauce???? Tsao at the Poway location is the sweetest server. She was the only one serving tables and it was very busy and she smiled, was so friendly and made sure we got all our food fast. The Poway location has better service than the Mira Mesa location. read more

Please, you guys REALLY need to figure out your service. We really, really want to like coming here, but a month in, and your service is still rocky at best. Hubby and I came in for dinner around 5:30ish, and it was about half full in the restaurant. We got seated right away, and ordered in just a few minutes. We ordered the Crispy Rice appetizer, he ordered Pho, and I ordered the Grilled Pork Broken Rice. We got my husband's Pho first, within a few minutes. About halfway through his Pho, our appetizer finally came - it was really good. The Crispy Rice is a patty of rice that has been fried, has a bit of mayo on it, then is topped with your meat of choice. It has an interesting texture with a very crispy outside, and a chewy inside. I'd order it again, the only downside was that it was pretty greasy. I finished half of the appetizer, he finished his half, AND he finished his pho, and I still didn't have my food. We had to ask our server where my food was, and he checked with the kitchen, who apparently lost the ticket. He said the food would be coming in just a minute. Yes, it did come out a few minutes later, but my pork was barely warm. I didn't want to risk waiting again (plus I was really hungry) so I just ate it. We ended up speaking to the manager and he comped my dinner. Its really a shame, because the food is really good. Hope they figure out the service soon. read more

Worst Ca Dao location I've visited. They sat us down and had us waiting over 30 min for them to come take our order. After waiting and waiting and waiting some more, no one ever came so we had to flag someone down. Everyone else around us had ordered and finished their food even though they came in after us. The first time we flagged someone down, we asked to move tables. She told us no, because she had already put our food order in. After telling her we never even gave an order, she brushed us off and said she would be there soon. More waiting. We flagged her down a SECOND time while she was taking orders somewhere else (a table that came in WAY after us) and she brushed off AGAIN. Said "yeah yeah I'll be right there"... No apology, no sense of urgency, and STILL continued to take orders of people who had come in after us. WAITING AGAIN. We've been here over an hour. This time I walked up to the counter and asked a different girl if there was a manager on duty. She said yes and stared at me. After a long pause I asked "Are you the manager???" Another long pause with a blank stare and she finally (hesitantly) says yes. Somehow I don't believe her. She says they are "really busy and so so sorry".... I said I understand (I work in the food industry as well) but we've already tried to get your attention three times now and we are frustrated. The first time trying for your attention should have been enough. Overall I'm disappointed because I normally receive impeccable service at all other locations I frequent. Not coming back. Solid 2 or 3 stars for the PCD. The restaurant is beautiful, you can tell they invested quite a bit in it. The food delivery robots were a nice touch. Service was fine albeit a bit slow but the quality of pho here just tastes different than the MM and RB locations. The rare meat was also not as high of quality. The soup was also warm not hot as another reviewer mentioned which makes cooking the rare meat tough and risky. We also saw a couple get turned away for some strange reason after they had sat down. The woman directing traffic seemed a little frantic even though the restaurant was not busy. WORST DINING EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I came here with my family on a Saturday night over an hour before closing. Our server kept rushing us to order saying they wanted to close early. We felt so rushed the entire meal. The waitress kept coming up to us and saying we needed to hurry. We weren't even done eating our food and she came to ask if she could clear the table. When I told her we weren't done she gave us attitude and kept looking at her watch while hovering nearby and giving us nasty glances. I was in Poway getting a post follow up on a recent root canal. I broke the tooth in half...FML. I needed something to ease my craptastic day. A big bowel of Pho was in order. This was my first visit and I have to say I was impressed on the cleanliness of the place and how nice the wait staff was. I had the grilled chicken pho and a pork banh mi sandwich plus some pork fried rice. I have a teenager at home so that's my excuse for the huge order, actually it was the great smelling food haha. I placed the order to go and was a little nervous with soup but they did a great job with everything. Separate packaging for every item and I got plus tons of fresh veggies for the soup and the banh mi sandwich. Everything was good, my son loved the pork sandwich and the fried rice was a hit at dinner. Check out my picture, tons of grilled chicken!!! It's not a bad spot, you just kind of need to get used to the quick entrance to parking or walk to the location. The service was prompt and food came out quick, so it seems like they have overcome some previous "just opened" issues. That's good. :) The food was just alright, but I was not able to try any of the delicious looking Banh Mi as I was only supposed to be consuming liquid (doctor's orders.) Wow service is def lacking here. When I got there, I stood in front of the register for a while with no acknowledgment whatsoever from the person behind the register. She seemed aloof and disinterested in talking to anyone. Then a supervisor came over and both of them fumbled over the register while still ignoring me. Both served the tables together and both worked the change on the register. Meanwhile I stood there befuddled wondering why it takes 2 ppl to do all that while ignoring a customer. And when someone finally got to me, they dropped the news that takeout is a 45 min wait... information that would've been useful earlier. Bear in mind, this is a regular Monday night. So out of curiosity, I asked what's going on and are they always this busy. The reply I got was "I don't know what happened.... I thought we had taken care of things, but then I saw all these order tickets and nothing was done so we are working to fulfill it and it will take 45mins." I mean I appreciate the honesty but it sure seems like they do not have their act together. As for the food, I had tried them once previously via DoorDash and it was decent. I was a bit skeptical coming here with the negative reviews...but I wanted Pho and decided to give them a shot. We arrived around 4:30pm and the restaurant was empty. Although the place was empty, I loved how clean and retro-modern the restaurant looked. Pretty cool vibe! We ordered pork spring rolls with peanut sauce and 2 large rare steak pho's. Although the pho arrived with the steak not rare (more medium rare) we were ok with that. The food tasted great and portions were perfect. No complaints here..... we even got to pay at our table by swiping our card through an iPad they brought to our table --pretty cool. read more

My husband wrote a one star review a few months ago because this place was absolutely terrible! Probably the worst service ever! Flash forward to today, someone told me to check it out and I said "hell no!" And he said no really the service has improved a lot so I said okay I'll give it another shot. I walked in and I could already tell service was better as someone greeted me right away and the last time I ordered for pick up I stood at the entrance for 10 minutes even though the restaurant was empty. Been meaning to come here for years and was very pleased to finally order some take out during the second COVID lockdown. Ordered the PCD and grilled tofu pho dishes for the Mrs and myself and pork broken rice for the kids. All the food was stunningly delicious. The savory and unique flavors of the pho broth, meats, and grilled tofu make this jewel of a restaurant a must eat! Will be making this a regular place when we eat out and hope to enjoy indoor dining in the future. read more

Tuesday afternoon around 2:30ish. First time trying and was skeptically hopeful as I had to leave my fave Pho place when I moved from Hawaii. Please wasn't busy (missed the lunch crowd). I was greeted and seated immediately. Menu has plenty to choose from. I chose spring rolls and their "special" pho that had brisket, steak, tendon, tripe and I believe flank steak. It was absolutely delicious. Food was served quickly and was very hot and fresh. The spring rolls were crunchy and flavorful. The pho was hand down as good as I've ever had in Hawaii. The broth was tasty, plenty of meats, just delicious in every way. The portion size was way more than I could eat in one sitting. So if you're not a big eater, maybe split with someone. 10/10 would recommend and I will be back. Great job guys !!! read more

This place was the absolute worst experience I've ever had at a Pho Ca Dao. There was 5 tables, not busy and it took them 23 minutes to take my to go order. The waiter was yelling at the cooks to "chill out" who were trying to get food out. They have these stupid auto waiters that get stuck everywhere and spill your soup. The girl making drinks didn't wash her hands once but was handling food and making drinks at the same time. Don't spend your money here unless you're ok with crap service or want salmonella. Dropped in around 10:30a. A gentleman greeted and sat me immediately. Waitress checked on me with a water and a menu within a minute. They have a large selection of vietnamese foods on their menu. I ordered the pho special. It came out in about 5-8 minutes. I could smell the broth when the waiter brought the pho. It was absolutely delicious. I've had bland pho before. This is completely opposite. It tasted hearty and the portion was plenty. I was checked on by 3 different people. Overall I had a positive experience. I'll be coming back again. read more
