I was in Mira Mesa on Sunday morning and decided to stop by Pho Lucky for the first time. When I arrived I was greeted by a friendly staff person who let me sit at a booth. Pros: -they have oxtail pho! -friendly staff -there is a good amount of seating -it's a nice looking restaurant but it felt casual and comfortable which I love -parking was no issue for me in their shared parking lot Cons: -n/a

Fist time here since I was looking for Vietnamese food. Ordered Bun Rieu and Bun Chao Tom. The bun rieu didn't have the umpth I was looking for; the meat didn't taste like crab meat; didn't really like the flavor. The bun chao tom was "clean" but the shrimp didn't taste like shrimp - tasted more like shrimp and flour. It lacks flavor as well. It was decent but not something I would like to rave about. Not sure I'll ever return because the flavors were completely different (as in unpacked flavor).

The restaurant is right next to a Vietnamese supermarket, and parking is super convenient. There are plenty of seats, so there's no need to wait. The interior is beautiful and very clean. As soon as we walked in, four staff members quickly attended to us--pouring water and handing us menus--super fast service! We ordered four bowls of Vietnamese pho, which were extremely good value and absolutely delicious. Pho lovers definitely shouldn't miss this place. I especially recommend the pho with pork trotters--it's loaded with ingredients and tastes amazing. One bowl is super filling. Overall, the experience was fantastic, and I'll definitely be coming back!

My wife wasn't feeling well and needed some Vietnamese medicine. I got her 2 orders of large N1 Pho, 2 orders of 6 egg rolls and vermicelli with BBQ shrimp for me. Ordered to go at the counter. The service was friendly and efficient. Paid with credit card. The lady told me the order would be ready in 15-20 minutes. So I went to Lucky Seafood Grocery to see if there was anything interesting. My order was ready upon my return and they helped me pack it in my cooler. Great casual ambiance. The food is great too.

This place is good and deserves a 3.5 stars out of 5. The restaurant is next to lucky seafood store. Although it took a minute or two to be seated, the service was good. The pho was very delicious and had good flavor but it just a bit too oily for me. The spring rolls were tasty but the bbq beef rolls were fantastic. The restaurant is clean, bright, and plain.

Best broth I have had in San Diego thus far. Yummy rice dishes which are huge servings, so much protein! Great staff Yummy fried spring rolls. Will be back!

Delicious foods and fast services. Prices are a little lower than other restaurants for the similar foods. The staffs are usually friendly and polite. Item N1 pho large special , R1 broken rice special, R8 broken rice with 3 options, v1 noodles special, and S5 hu tieu my tho with soup are delicious.

Amazing Chicken Pho!! One of the best I have had. Service was great, they were very welcoming, attentive and very friendly. Ambiance is just your casual family restaurant with Christmas music playing in the background. Also ordered the tofu spring rolls which were really good. Definitely don't pass this place up if you are in need for pho, the broth is very good and meat isn't dry.

Fast service and always hot and always so good! Lots to choose from but my go to is the you-choose-3-combo, brisket, rare beef and meatball combo or short rib. If you feel under the weather, the fermented salted lemon drink will kick that sick out of you.

This was literally the worst pho I've ever had in my life. Completely bland -- the broth had no taste at all, like everything was just tossed into hot water and sent to the table. They even forgot one of our plates, and when I reminded them, I honestly wish they never brought it out. We tried both the brisket and chicken pho, and they were equally horrible. The chicken, especially, tasted like dirty socks. Overall, a terrible experience.

Aloha all! Dropped into Pho Lucky for a quick bite and decided to go with an order of Spring Rolls with Shrimp. It included a combination of crunchy veggies, vermicelli noodles and savory bites of shrimp all wrapped in a chewy rice paper shell. I dipped it in the delicious and sweet peanut sauce and it provided me with a perfect snack that kept me satisfied during my errands run. Next visit, when I have more time, I will definitely stop by for a bowl of their awesome Pho. My favorite is the Filet Mignon Pho. Can't wait!

Stopped at Pho Lucky for a quick lunch and this place is a hidden gem! Located to the left of Lucky Seafood in the plaza with Aldi, there was plenty of parking within the lot. Service was quick as we were seated immediately and our order was taken. The restaurant itself was large and clean, newly renovated. I always like to try the pho broth before adding anything to it and it was already flavorful as is! ~$13-16 a bowl. I like it much better than Pho Cow Cali where you feel so rushed. Will be back whenever I'm craving pho and are in the area!

It's been years since I've been out this way, but I heard there's a new cook or a change in management at this spot, so I decided to give it another shot--and I'm glad I did! We started with the egg rolls, and they were a solid 10/10--super crispy, flavorful, and served piping hot (just how I like them). We also tried the beef fresh spring rolls, which were delicious and surprisingly filling. The beef had great flavor and was cooked perfectly. A couple of us ordered the pho (noodle soup), which came in a metal bowl and stayed hot the entire meal. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and there was plenty of tender meat in the bowl--no skimping here. The only downside was the service. There seemed to be only one person taking orders, one bringing out food, and one at the register. We weren't really checked on and had to flag someone down a few times, which was a bit frustrating. That said, the food is definitely worth coming back for--I'll just be prepared for the slower service next time.

This place is decieving on many levels and subverts expectations in the best way possible. Walking in you wouldn't think much. I was surprised by the tall ceilings; this place is not large in square footage but it doesn't feel cramped in any way. We opted for the online menu as it included pictures, though not on every item. Very reasonable prices for generous portions. Every dish was a winner, though some better than others in the minute details. The Hainanese Chicken Rice was tender and rich that the ginger sauce cut through, but the color was strikingly yellow. The Rotisserie Chicken Salad offered a welcome sight of veggies, though the chicken itself tasted like that straight from Costco. The Scallion Pancake was crispy on the edges, doughy in the center, and you only get one per order. The Shitake Mushroom Minced Pork had no drawbacks, and would come back just for this. Combining familiar flavors and spices, adding roasted vegetables and rice made this a complete meal! We were unbothered by the service staff the entire time until asking for the check, strange as we were the only two in the restaurant. However, with these minor setbacks, I will be coming back to try their noodles, soups, and desserts!

I have a soft spot for places with hyper-specific menu with small amount of items that they specialize in. The spring rolls were thicc with two "c" and the soup was so delicious. The meat was so tender it fell off the bone! 11/10 would recommend and come back myself. The staff is very welcoming and nice! The restaurant is small and fills in quick so you gotta get on a waitlist and pay attention hard when called. As an entertainment side story that is in no way regarding service here because guys nailed it well for how busy it was: We did have an "interaction" with another guest who was convinced we took her spot in line and were seated at "technically her table." While in reality they never even answered when were called (a person called them inside and came outside to call as well) and somebody else (a party of two) ended up being sat instead of them. When it was our turn, they didn't even call our party by name, the person running the shift just pointed at us and called us up because he knew we also were waiting for an hour and we had a friendly conversation earlier. But yeah, for some reason girly-pop really felt a need to not only tell us they were skipped "because of us" but go on nagging about it lol

The new-new nood bar called Hom Mali. - FOOD: delicious - PRICE: fair (their website shows outdated and cheaper prices) - SERVICE: good - AMBIANCE: nice updated esthetics It's been awhile since I've ate here and the last time I did it was just The Nood Bar now known as Hom Mali but still shows as The Nood Bar. They updated their decor and like it much better with its refreshing white and green interior giving south-east Asian vibes. The menu has quite a lot of good offerings it was hard to decide but feel not matter what you order here it's going to be delicious and authentic. They did keep several items from The Nood Bar! :: ORDER :: RED GUAVA ICE TEA ($5.95) - Oh my goodness, so yummy and refreshing. I'd say the caffeine level is very light on this one and I am ok with that. After stuffing my face I took a nice nap for someone who is caffeine sensitive. HIGHLY RECOMMEND GARLIC BUTTER NOODLES {$20.95) - Grilled lemongrass-marinated pork shoulder served over steamed soba noodles tossed with soy sauce, fried garlic, garlic oil, and butter alongside steamed botchy, finished with cilantro and a side of plum sauce. THIS WAS SO FLAVORFUL and yummy. I don't often eat garlic butter noodles so any garlic butter noodle is delicious to me. I did NOT see any fried garlic in my meal and felt it was only garlic oil that was present with the garlic profiles. The noodles were very garlic-y and butter-y. The pork shoulder was also perfectly marinated and dipping it in the plum sauce which was a mix of sweet and tangy paired well with the marination of the meat and butter-ness of the noods. It also came with ONE bakchoy sliced in half to appear as two. And I wish they some how incorporated the cilantro and carrots more into the dish instead of garnish to give some more herbal flavor. Even though, this dish was spot on. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Service was great! Did feel awkward when they handed me the machine to tap my card and leave a tip... they stood there watching you press the buttons. No being discreet picking up plates or looking away... just looking right at you. I know it's a thing with many restaurants now but it's awkward and don't feel like I have privacy. I will def be back! So many yummy dishes on the menu to try. Until the next slurp....
