Family and I usually come here when we crave pho, and it never disappoints! The food hits each time, service is quick, and the place itself is spacious enough for it to not feel too overwhelming. Considering the amount of families who come in too, a bigger venue is always a plus! Portions are great for the price, we always leave with leftovers lol. Oh and plenty of free parking around too.

After trying to go to another spot across the street, we went to our second option, Pho Lucky lol! Inside is spacious and theres plenty of seating. The interior actually feels kind've fancy. After being seated right away, we had to call over the employee to take our order! The pho was delicious, simple and hit the spot after a long night out before. Portion was good as well for the Pho Filet Mignon. I would say that's great for large groups and families. If you enjoy trying new pho places you need to give it a try!

I was in Mira Mesa on Sunday morning and decided to stop by Pho Lucky for the first time. When I arrived I was greeted by a friendly staff person who let me sit at a booth. Pros: -they have oxtail pho! -friendly staff -there is a good amount of seating -it's a nice looking restaurant but it felt casual and comfortable which I love -parking was no issue for me in their shared parking lot Cons: -n/a

Fist time here since I was looking for Vietnamese food. Ordered Bun Rieu and Bun Chao Tom. The bun rieu didn't have the umpth I was looking for; the meat didn't taste like crab meat; didn't really like the flavor. The bun chao tom was "clean" but the shrimp didn't taste like shrimp - tasted more like shrimp and flour. It lacks flavor as well. It was decent but not something I would like to rave about. Not sure I'll ever return because the flavors were completely different (as in unpacked flavor).

My wife wasn't feeling well and needed some Vietnamese medicine. I got her 2 orders of large N1 Pho, 2 orders of 6 egg rolls and vermicelli with BBQ shrimp for me. Ordered to go at the counter. The service was friendly and efficient. Paid with credit card. The lady told me the order would be ready in 15-20 minutes. So I went to Lucky Seafood Grocery to see if there was anything interesting. My order was ready upon my return and they helped me pack it in my cooler. Great casual ambiance. The food is great too.

This was the first place I ever tried Pho. It was absolutely delicious a few years ago when I had it. I came back this week to see if it held its standards and it did. The broth is so flavorful and they are not skimpy with the meat. I ordered the brisket and meatballs and my husband ordered brisket, steak, and tendon. We also really like the spring rolls from here. They're very fresh! Can't wait to come back! (Only "markdown" would be the women's bathroom. Both times I've gone the bathroom has been unusable. Not worth taking down a star).

The restaurant is right next to a Vietnamese supermarket, and parking is super convenient. There are plenty of seats, so there's no need to wait. The interior is beautiful and very clean. As soon as we walked in, four staff members quickly attended to us--pouring water and handing us menus--super fast service! We ordered four bowls of Vietnamese pho, which were extremely good value and absolutely delicious. Pho lovers definitely shouldn't miss this place. I especially recommend the pho with pork trotters--it's loaded with ingredients and tastes amazing. One bowl is super filling. Overall, the experience was fantastic, and I'll definitely be coming back!

This place is good and deserves a 3.5 stars out of 5. The restaurant is next to lucky seafood store. Although it took a minute or two to be seated, the service was good. The pho was very delicious and had good flavor but it just a bit too oily for me. The spring rolls were tasty but the bbq beef rolls were fantastic. The restaurant is clean, bright, and plain.

Best broth I have had in San Diego thus far. Yummy rice dishes which are huge servings, so much protein! Great staff Yummy fried spring rolls. Will be back!

Amazing Chicken Pho!! One of the best I have had. Service was great, they were very welcoming, attentive and very friendly. Ambiance is just your casual family restaurant with Christmas music playing in the background. Also ordered the tofu spring rolls which were really good. Definitely don't pass this place up if you are in need for pho, the broth is very good and meat isn't dry.

Fast service and always hot and always so good! Lots to choose from but my go to is the you-choose-3-combo, brisket, rare beef and meatball combo or short rib. If you feel under the weather, the fermented salted lemon drink will kick that sick out of you.

This was literally the worst pho I've ever had in my life. Completely bland -- the broth had no taste at all, like everything was just tossed into hot water and sent to the table. They even forgot one of our plates, and when I reminded them, I honestly wish they never brought it out. We tried both the brisket and chicken pho, and they were equally horrible. The chicken, especially, tasted like dirty socks. Overall, a terrible experience.

Delicious foods and fast services. Prices are a little lower than other restaurants for the similar foods. The staffs are usually friendly and polite. Item N1 pho large special , R1 broken rice special, R8 broken rice with 3 options, v1 noodles special, and S5 hu tieu my tho with soup are delicious.

So if you ever feel like wanting to change up your usual order, I highly suggest trying their bun bo hue. Grateful to have made it here safely, we decided to grab a bite at Duyen Mai Vietnamese Restaurant. The first thing I noticed was that they had two spots right next to each other--so I already knew this place had to be pumping out some Vietnamese food! I looked around the menu and saw #23 - Phở Đặc Biệt (The Special). Of course, I was feeling special that day , so I ordered the small Pho #23. The bowl might have been small, but it was PACKED with meat, noodles, and flavor. Of course, all the sauces were right there on the side so you could make it exactly how you like it. We also ordered the Bún Riêu, which was simple but hearty and comforting. Glad we were able to fill up, recharge, and get some energy for the rest of the evening. If you're ever around this part of San Diego and craving some good Vietnamese food, definitely check out Duyen Mai. Yummy!

Today, it's one of the most well-known Vietnamese restaurants in the city, and after this visit, I can definitely see why. One of my favorite things about coming here is the location. Even though it's right in Convoy, parking has never been an issue for me. I usually avoid the area because finding a spot can be a headache, but Phuong Trang has a large parking lot that makes stopping by so much easier. I came in for a quick takeout lunch. One thing to know before you go is they don't accept Apple Pay, so make sure to bring a physical card or cash. The staff was incredibly welcoming. They greeted me when I walked in, gave me plenty of time to look over the menu, and never made me feel rushed. That kind of hospitality really stood out. I ordered the Char-Grilled Beef Vermicelli and the Shrimp, Pork & Jellyfish Salad. The salad comes with shredded green papaya, celery, cucumber, carrots, shrimp, pork, jellyfish strips, fresh mint, crushed peanuts, and shrimp chips. The salad was refreshing with plenty of shrimp and jellyfish throughout. I especially liked the crunch from the green papaya. My only complaint was that the dressing felt a little one dimensional. I wish it had a little more brightness to bring out the fresh herbs and vegetables. It was still enjoyable, though. The Char-Grilled Beef Vermicelli was my favorite of the two. It came with vermicelli noodles, fresh herbs, pickled daikon and carrots, crushed peanuts, plus five grilled beef rolls wrapped around scallions. The beef had a delicious smoky flavor from the grill. The only downside was that the inside of the rolls was a little chewy since it didn't get the same char as the outside. Even so, every bite was packed with flavor, so it wasn't enough to take away from the dish. Between the friendly service, quick turnaround for takeout, and solid food, I can see why Phuong Trang has stayed so popular for all these years. I'd happily come back and keep working my way through their menu.

They only had a table for 5 but we ended up having 6 people in our party. They were so kind to be able to accommodate the additional person! They had personalized menus that greeted my party and it wished my friends a happy birthday!! They actually got to take the menus home! This was really a nice touch, I appreciated the details. We family-styled everything which is honestly the way to go so everybody can try a little of everything! It was majority of our party's first time dining there. We started off with some drinks, I got the Non-alcoholic Guava Mocktail and I got to try what was the equivalent to an espresso martini too. Definitely liked the guava drink better because it tasted like guava nectar juice (kind of like Kerns or Jumex). The Expresso Martini had fresh mint in it and it tasted earthy which wasn't my cup of tea. For food we started off with the Heirloom Tomato Salad which was DELICIOUS!! I don't know what they put in the Vietnamese Green Goddess (probably fish sauce since all the dishes basically had this) but it was magnificent and one of my favorite dishes of the night. Then the Scallops and the Black Cod came out. The Scallops came in a set of 3 and we cut them in half so we could all have a taste. The sauce on this was DIVINE!!! It was citrusy but still really flavorful bursting with umami. I'm literally starting to drool reminiscing about it xD We wanted to keep it to use on other dishes because it was so good. The Black Cod was also delicious. It had fried skin attached and a sesame soy glaze. Next up came the Beef Tartare and the Wagyu Steak. The Beef Tartare was probably the least flavorful out of everything we ordered, but it was still well seasoned. My friend said it was really spicy but it might have just been her bite because I didn't think it was spicy at all. I like that the give you the option of leafy greens or shrimp chips to eat it with. The Wagyu though, was an all-star dish. It was the crowd favorite for sure, we all enjoyed not only the steak but the picked baby eggplants that come with it, and the sauce was phenomenal!! Lastly came the Dry Aged Duck which is what they're known for. It was definitely the biggest fish out of all. You were able to eat the duck with two different sauces, one they called a "Fish Sauce Chimichurri" and "Vietnamese XO sauce" which is more so satay. My friends liked the XO sauce but I liked the Chimichurri better. They had actually forgotten about the side of Buttered Rice but I was told it was incredibly flavorful on its own so we still asked for it. It had more than just butter in it, there was dried shrimp and sesame seeds, and it was made with coconut milk or something because it had a sweet but savory taste to it. I saved some of my duck and Wagyu to eat with it which was actually pretty good. Overall I liked that they brought out the dishes from lightest to heaviest and especially after they brought out out 2 sides of Buttered Rice we were all satisfied and full. It was the perfect amount of food. Honestly EVERY dish was different but amazingly dank and I think it's the fish sauce in everything. They were also sweet and kept the cake we brought in the fridge, placed the candles on it for us, and even after we sang they cut the cake for us!! 10/10 would recommend coming here for not only the food but the impeccable service!! Since we had a larger party there's an automatic 20% gratuity already added to the bill, which came out to be $555! (Look at that angel number!)
