This was our first visit here. Really super good food. If you aren't paying attention this place looks like someone's house but there's a sign in the yard. DONT PASS IT UP. The inside is nice and cozy, not really a restaurant atmosphere. Almost like your eating at someone's place. The owner was really nice and very efficient. We started off our meal with Chicken Satay and Fresh Spring Rolls. Both really good. The Chicken had a nice curry flavor and was juicy and tender. The peanut dipping sauce was hot (temperature) not spice, and very flavorful. The Spring Rolls tasted very fresh. It came with two sauces, the hot peanut sauce and a cool gingery teriyaki I think. My wife got the Pad See Ew which was really good cause I tasted it and then ate her leftovers cause I'm a fatty. My Pad Thai was excellent. Their spice level only goes up to 5 but I ordered 7. They brought me a 7. Very good heat and flavor. Usually it's not as hot as they say but this was HOT. Washed it all down with a Thai Iced Tea. Our bill ended up being very reasonable for the amount of food we got. All in all we had a very good experience here and plan on making a return trip very soon to try some of their other dishes. You won't be disappointed.

This should definitely be your go-to Thai place on Whidbey Island! As other reviews note this place isn't fast but trust me it's worth the wait. We ordered take-out around 5:05PM on a Friday and we're told it would be an hour. When we arrived at the restaurant it was still another 10 minutes before the food was ready. No big deal but just be prepared. Since it was a cold and rainy November evening we ordered the Tom Yum in addition to Red Curry with beef, Pineapple fried rice with chicken and chicken Phad Thai. Anytime I'm trying out a Thai place I order the Phad Thai as a rule. In this case that ended up being our least favorite dish. Not bad by any means but nothing special. The Pineapple fried rice was delicious and the Red Curry was very nice but the star of the show was the Tom Yum! Wow, that soup was full of aromatics and intensely flavorful. Just what the doctor ordered on a dark and rainy PNW night. Pros Tom Yum that will warm your soul Cons Bit of a wait but worth it!

Family loves this restaurant. Staff are super friendly and kind. Food is delicious and really flavourful! Kids enjoy the Thai fried rice while adults enjoyed the Drunken noodles (using extra lime and chili flakes) and Prik Kink rice was a hit!!

The outside looks so cute, me and my husband had to come inside. And it ended up being the best Thai food we have ever had. The shrimp was thE best shrimp I've ever had, and the pad Thai and orannge chicken were incredible. Don't sleep on this spot! It's so goooood!

We had an amazing meal here. The restaurant is owned by a family, and the food is so authentic! Great service, too!

We had an amazing experience here at Phad Thai! The food is authentic and delicious. The service was gracious and charming. The atmosphere is comforting and the location is unique, especially as it is a converted Victorian home. There is a wide range of choices on the menu. One dish we recommend is the Panang Curry. We love this place and can't wait to come back!

I heard this place was awesome, so stopped by while passing through town on a roadtrip. I should have gone with the curry, as was suggested by a trusted friend. Instead, my stupid mouth wanted noodles, and that was a mistake. Given the name, I assumed pad thai would be a safe choice... wrong! The noodles were over cooked, but also under-fried so it was like a weird soupy, too sweet and very sour, ketchup spaghetti. I LOVE tamarind, and usually forgo pad thai at Thai restaurants because the tamarind is typically substituted with ketchup here in the States. When I sent it back, someone came out to explain that they use tamarind and not ketchup, and that must be why I don't like it. Oh no sir, this is just terrible... inedible terrible. I only took one bite before sending it back. Perhaps their tamarind went bad, which would account for the SUPER sour taste? I don't know, but it tasted horrible. On a bright note, the dumplings were tasty, and again, I hear the curry is fantastic.

The food, literally all of it : spring rolls, pad Thai crab cakes and fried rice were all perfect.

You wouldn't realize this is a restaurant, as the outside is an actual house. The food was pretty good. I would go here again.

I waited about 35 minutes to receive my food. Would I have liked to receive it sooner? Yes, but I could tell the kitchen was working hard and it was busy. They did what they could I got an 8.00 Sake Maki role and the Nebeyaki Udon soup dish to compliment the rainy and moody weather The sushi roll wasn't anything special. Salmon, rice and seaweed, you really can't go wrong! I'm going to to come back and try other rolls cause the sushi here looks delicious The soup was full of Sweet and savory ... It definitely had that umami flavor but the shrimp and egg were very overcooked. The soup was boiling hot when I received it, the egg was hard boiled, not poached and the shrimp tempura was tough and rubbery. The variety of ingredients impressed me though. The fish cake, fried tofu, mushrooms, and pea crisps were delicious and flavorful! I would get this dish again, because it truly did taste good, I just wish they'd out the shrimp and egg into the broth later so that they didn't come out overcooked. Loved the vibe here, food was good.. this place has a good thing going!

Unlike Vietnamese bun which is thin like vermicelli, these were quite a bit thicker, almost like a round fettuccine. As appetizers, we had the duck egg rolls. We managed to eat them before taking a picture.... they were finally ground duck in egg roll wrappers. We also had the sliced pork belly with garlic sauce. I remembered to take a picture before it was completely gone! It was one of the most amazing things I've had. It's cooked and thinly sliced pork served cold, with crisp and refreshing julienne carrots and cucumber. It's served with a thin dressing that includes fresh garlic. The whole thing is cool, sharp, refreshing, and satisfying. Finally, I had the noodles. I borrowed somebody else's picture, because I forgot to take it before I dumped the toppings in. It comes with two or three different kinds of pickles, toasted soybeans, and green onions. The idea is to stir those into the noodles and eat them first, like a cool noodle salad. Then... you dump the broth on top and enjoy them like a Ramen or a noodle soup. It was absolutely amazing. As a Texan, I'm no stranger to spicy food, but somehow the spicy broth caught me at the back of my throat rather than just the tongue. You should definitely give this place a try! It felt authentic.. most of the customers in there appeared to be Asian, which is usually a good sign.
