I'm no chef, but I've ordered Pad Thai in dozens of restaurants and this is the worst by far--bland and appears to have none of the vegetables the menu said were included in it. It was horrible. We had to eat here because this was amongst the only limited options that was open past 8:30pm. We got chicken pad thai and a vegetable stir fry with chicken, to go. The guy at the register specifically asked us for the level of spice and we got a 4/5 for both the items. The food was absolutely bland and tasteless. They forgot the spice too. Have had food here at least a half a dozen times.... to go & eat in - food has always tasted really good. Fresh rolls appetizer are so tasty & the house dipping sauce is delicious. Today we had Pad See Ew & Panang Curry. Both very flavorful but I will agree with others that 2 star is like a 3-4 at other places. It's spicy. The service is always good and the ladies are always cheery. Food comes out fast at lunch time. The inside is cute the way it's decorated. This place use to be Pra Nakorn. It was great but the authenticity and quality of the food has declined. Over the weekend, I stopped here to pick up some take-out. I called 20 minutes in advance, but still had to wait 30 extra minutes. When I got home, the food was bland and dry. Drunken noodles should have a bit of sauce on it and be somewhat soft. These noodles were dry and tough. I also ordered their Thai fried rice, and that too was bland. Their Thai beef salad was somewhat tasty but the beef was tough. If you decide to order that, a level 2 spicy is quite spicy. I love eating spicy so I didn't mind it. However, if you're expecting level 2, order a level 1. I don't think I'll be a customer anymore. read more

Family was craving Thai tonight and normally we'd venture into Oak Harbor as there are more options for take-out there, but I drive by this Thai place every day and figured we should support our towns small businesses! This is some of the best Thai I've had in awhile! SO fresh, veggies were crisp and everything tasted amazing and with the perfect amount of spice. I got the vegetable dish with chicken which came with a hearty side of rice, I got the brown rice which was awesome! Lots of flavor and plenty of food. I could only eat half so now I have lunch for tomorrow! My daughter got the Pad Thai and she said it was the best. Husband got the garlic dish with beef and he said it tasted a lot "healthier" than other Thai places, in a good way, not greasy and heavy. I also appreciated the to-box packaging. Each dish came in a plastic reusable container which was amazing because most Thai places will give you the traditional white to-go paper container and the sauces leak through and spill everywhere. The plastic to-go boxes kept all the juices in and now we have extra lunch containers for work days! We will definitely be back since we live 9 minutes away! read more

My friends and I took a day trip down to whidbey island and were looking for a good place to eat. We stumbled upon this restaurant and were hesitant at first as it looked like someone's home. We gave it a shot and luckily, the food was great! Good flavors, tasted authentic, and service was great. It has been a tough transition. When they first took over it was sketchy as far as food quality and service. We decided to keep giving them a try. They have finally gotten over the hump. They are friendly with good service and the quality has definitely improved. We were quite satisfied with meals. Flavors were full and the food fresh. We will come back again. read more

On vacation here. I didn't expect much in comparison to LA.... boy was I surprised. It was fabulous. Great Pad Thai, chicken larb and shrimp rolls. A lot of restaurants usually serve cabbage leaves with their chicken larb and I always ask for lettuce to make it a salad. They served it like I prefer without even asking. Lots of Spicy juice at the bottom. One out of five level for Spicy and I ordered the level 3. It was very hot but fine for me. Service was good. read more

This was the first time back since the restaurant changed owners and we were pleasantly surprised. We had an appetizer dinner of fresh spring rolls, fried tofu, tum yum soup and rice. Simple but good. Next time I'll try a curry dish or maybe the pad thai. There was only one waitress, but we were in no rush. So 4 stars until we try some other dishes. read more

We came here for Mother's Day lunch. My husband had red curry with beef, I had Red Royal Noodles tofu, my son had Phad kra paw with minced chicken. All were very good. Medium hot was perfect. Unique place that we really enjoyed! I think we originally found this by Yelp. It was a nice surprise to find a Thai restaurant in a Victorian house. We were in the area for lunch. We live in Coupeville and have eaten at the new Pad Thai about 5 times. The food has been consistently good and the people working there are nice. Give it a try if you are in the mood for Thai in our beautiful seaside town at a great price. This place used to be Cove Thai, then Pra Nakorn, and now Phad Thai.
